The outline for this story says that the Daleks send the Doctor and his companions down to the Asylum and it’s up to them to escape it, but they don’t say why they’ve been sent down by the Daleks in the bleeden first place !!!!.
Maybe the Daleks has learned that Davros in inside the Dalek Asylum, and they want the Doctor and his companions to retrieve him, cos the Daleks are scared of setting foot inside the Asylum because of all the deranged Daleks.

August 24th, 2012 - 12:47pmI wondered why I couldn’t get this copy anywhere! It should be a good issue though with some great previews for the new series. I do feel that ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ is the epic start of the build up to the shows 50th Anniversary next year!….or at least that’s how I view it!

Mark Gatiss, who wrote their debut episode, acknowledged the controversial nature of this redesign in his in-vision commentary on the DVD box set. In conversation with principal Dalek voice artist Nicholas Briggs, and Dalek operator Barnaby Edwards, he opined that the new shape of the Daleks, especially in the dorsal region, was not particularly to his liking. Briggs agreed, but, with Edwards, swiftly noted that in their experience of taking the new Daleks on live exhibition to the public, British kids, for the most part, loved the new design. The decision was revisited in DWM 431 with critics voicing their opinions on the design. A comparison was made with the RTD-era Daleks, but no conclusion as to which was the better-made.

August 23rd, 2012 - 3:33pmSince a lot of fan’s of Doctor Who like myself hate the Paradigm Daleks, calling them things like Mini-Coopers and Power Rangers, Ive given them a repainting to what I feel would have been more acceptable for each one.

I just wanted to give them a more acceptable colour scheme, cos they trouble with the colours the Paradigm Daleks actually have suggests to me their just child friendly, and there is nothing child friendly about Daleks, they are ment to be scary, not playful like some sort of intergalactic Teletubbies.

August 23rd, 2012 - 4:50pmI love the White, Blue, Orange, Yellow and Red Paradigm Daleks. Here’s a fun fact: The Paradigm Daleks are the closest DAleks in the New Series to resemble 60 Daleks!

August 23rd, 2012 - 5:10pmWell the colour schemes came about cos Steven Moffat is such a big fan of the 1960’s Dalek Movies [Dr.Who & the Daleks / Daleks – Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.]
Infact, if you go to Deviant Art, you’ll discover Ive repainted the Paradigm Daleks into the colour schemes of the 60’s Daleks from both movies.

Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. – Paradigm Daleks
There are 3 Paradigm recolours from the first film, and 4 from the second.

Either that or the covers are to feature other Daleks, since this one just features a 1963 original, Time War and 70’s era Daleks.
Cover 2 could probably feature an Emperor Guard Dalek, a Dalek Invasion of Earth Dalek and and Necros Dalek.
Cover 3 could probably feature an Imperial Dalek, Paradigm Supreme Dalek and Special Weapons Gunner Dalek.
Just have to wait and find out.

August 22nd, 2012 - 10:18pmConsidering the fact that ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ is highlighted and the cover – obviously – being from ‘Asylum of the Daleks’, it seems pretty certain that the other two covers will be from ‘Dinosaurs on A Spaceship’ and ‘A Town Called Mercy’. It shall be interesting to see if they keep this up throughout the series.
