Really upset that my local shop STOPPED getting them in. I have them ON ORDER. But apparently that doesn’t apply. Very VERY upset.

Join the club! My WHSmith suddenly had problem’s with it’s Distributor & I missed 2 magazines completely. Then they started messing around with The Complete History & Figurine Collection as well. Now I have to source them independently wherever I can find them. Not at all impressed!

By gum they’ve certainly slapped the paint on that Troughton figure…..and the pyro dalek doesn’t look short of a few heavily applied coats either.

Nothing after issue 80 is set in stone, things mentioned in discussion have (apparently) included all Masters, more Daleks, Cybermen (including Wheel in Space version), a Carrionite, a Menoptera, a (female) Eldrad and Sil have been mentioned. So have Racnoss Empress, Robot Yeti, Werewolf. That doesn’t mean that any of these are actually coming (besides the Masters, Daleks and Cybermen – who are definately coming). Depends on whether there’s another extension or not as well, if there is then you can probably expect Sutekh and a Classic Auton (both after issue 100 though if it happens)

So essentially, no-one knows for sure yet, not even the editors as they haven’t decided yet.

Didn’t they say something about a Parliament set? Maybe they would focus on figurine sets rather than issues.

      February 22nd, 2016 - 4:40pm

It’s all about supply and demand. If it remains profitable then they’ll give it an extension. They do a forward projection based on current sales trends and then come up with the number at which it will become unprofitable, and they extend it that far. If they then reach that number and the figures have held up then they’ll extend further (with permission from their bosses and the BBC of course). The Marvel collection reached 200, and was still going strong (Marvel pulled the plug because they wanted them to focus their attention elsewhere).

Some of the collections have used alternate methods of releasing figures in addition to their main collection, such as having themed bonus collections of figures that run alongside the main collection (perhaps a way to get some companions out if their plans ever change) or releasing sets of figures (which is what the Parliament set would be presumably).

A Parliament set sounds amazing! Also I best you want a Werewolf special, Werewolf! For some reason I really want a classic dafodil Auton too. Thanks for the info as always, guys.

      February 22nd, 2016 - 9:35pm

If the collection is extended again then there will be a Classic Auton – Ben has confirmed as much, not sure if its the Daffodil one though.

And yes, I would like a figurine of the Werewolf, it won’t happen unless there’s an extension though, which is one of the reasons I wouldn’t mind if it was extended to 120.

What issue will the robot mummy be?

    • LastOfTheSonics

      February 24th, 2016 - 4:48pm

      Robot Mummy is 79

  • The Werewolf

    February 17th, 2016 - 5:59pm

Turns out 71-80 does have only 1 Dalek at most, as I guessed it would to match the 21-30 group which was previously the only batch to do so. The Gel Guard is 75 and Empty Child is 74.

      February 20th, 2016 - 7:39pm

Any idea what the Dalek is? I feel like it’s the Gold Dalek from Day of the Daleks for some reason. What about 77/78?

    • Anonymous

      February 20th, 2016 - 7:57pm

The Gold Dalek from Day of the Daleks and the Imperial Dalek from Remembrance of the Daleks were both on the cardboard backing with issue 1 but haven’t been released.

Also, just because there may be a Dalek doesn’t mean there will be. There probably will be, but nothing is certain until it’s almost ready (even announced things shift around). They’ve said there will definitely be multiple Daleks, Cybermen and Masters in the extension (81-100, but before that, we’re stuck).

    • The Werewolf

      February 20th, 2016 - 9:48pm

True, it is technically possible that there are no Daleks at all between 71 and 80 and four between 81 and 90, we know they don’t spread things out evenly at all, however I think that 77 or 78 is a Dalek. It could be the Gold Supreme or the Imperial, I think the Gold is unlikely given we already have so many Pertwee figurines around here, but you never know – they don’t spread things out, I happen to think other possibilies as well, a Destiny Dalek, with or without bombs is possible, a Death to the Daleks one (though again Pertwee), or another 60s Dalek, maybe a normal Dalek from Power of the Daleks? Or it could even be from the new series like a Damaged Dalek Thay or something.

If I had to guess at 77, 78 and 80 (though these are just guesses and could very easily be wrong, I’d say that 77/78 are a Dalek (of some variety) and a New Series monster, possibly the Carrionite that’s already been mentioned, possibly something else from series 9 like the Veil, a Sandman or Leandro the Lion, or even something really random. 80 I think could finally be a Master – if they want to get at least 5 (Missy, Simm, Jacobi/Yana, Delgado and Ainley), then they’d have to start by 83, even if they put some of them really close together. That is, unless they get word of another extension before then, and then we could have even longer to wait before they start on the Masters, but I’d wager they won’t wait too long, as subscriber numbers could drop.

Interesting. I’m really hoping for a Missy and a Veil figurine.

Missy is definitely coming unless something goes horribly wrong with their plans.

Yes, often happens in these ‘mass-previews’, these are prototypes, and the one on the left here, is one where the colour came out wrong.

      February 15th, 2016 - 6:06pm

Ah ok thanks, also, do you know what issues 74, 75, 77 and 78 will be?

    • The Werewolf

      February 17th, 2016 - 2:10am

Not completely, I’m pretty sure 75 is a Dalek, the Gel Guard is either 77 or 78, and I have a vague idea about 74 and I think I know what the 78 or 77 is, but not sure enough to say yet. Will let you know if I find out more.

  • The Werewolf

    February 13th, 2016 - 2:51pm

Just thought I’d let you know, the Gel Guard isn’t 76 anymore, the Second Doctor is. 71 is the Axon, 72 is the Wooden Cyberman and the Robot Mummy is currently 79, but could still change. A Carrionite is possibly being done as well.

They’ve also said they may release a “Parliament of the Daleks” set, from the context presumably containing the three metallic Paradigm variants.

If they did the dalek parliament set I reckon they would have a metallic red paradigm dalek, the dalek presidents mutant in his casing and a televised human

      Sorry ment dalekised human

    • The Werewolf

The best way would be metallic Red Drone, metallic Blue Strategist, Prime Minister and Dalek-Human

Will the Carrionite be in the human witch form or is it in their true “flying” mutated from?

      February 15th, 2016 - 12:09pm

Don’t know yet, but most likely human/witch form.

On Twitter, when someone tweeted a shot of 5 Paradigm Daleks (4 repainted) & Ben said he’s considering a Parliament Set for a much later release.

Its Special Issue 8. Yes, it’s a small special, hopefully with a lower price.

    • Anonymous

      February 11th, 2016 - 8:34pm

Small? It’s clearly taller and wider than any of the other figures there. Probably is just about as big as any of the other specials.

    • The Werewolf

      February 11th, 2016 - 8:45pm

Yes, it’s clearly bigger than all the regular figurines, but it is equally clear to my eyes that the Mire’s base isn’t as large as the bases of the Slitheen, K1, Cyber King and the Beast. As someone who collects Lord of the Rings/Hobbit warhammer and has always been able to deduce the correct sizes of bases from obscure previews, I can tell you that the base of the Mire in that picture is, though larger than the regular figures, much smaller than the other specials.

There are a number of people who come to this site & have a certain specific knowledge on aspects of Who. The Werewolf is the person who know’s all about Eaglemoss & his info has proven to be correct on many occasions. If I want to know something about Doctor Who Eaglemoss I’ll ask the Werewolf who can give me a proper answer.
