July 31st, 2014 - 4:33pmWell, why’s that?
Trenzalore
July 31st, 2014 - 4:45pmBecause as with most human figures so far, a load of people will be moaning about how bad it looks, so I think that they should stay away from human figures other than Doctors as it’s not their strong point.
They can’t win really, they make companions people will call it bad.
They don’t make companions people won’t like that 😆

July 19th, 2014 - 4:03pmlets not grantee that this figurine will be excellent just because of it’s pilot look. Lots of figurines that have had this great image before but have had complaints from purchasers. Just look at the Dead Planet Dalek!
CassiusX
July 19th, 2014 - 4:57pmYeah, I must admit, I was a little bit unhappy with my Skaro Dalek because its whole eyestalk was silver, so I ended up painting the rest in. But by far the worst figure I had from the magazine was the Rassilon figure. I’ve no idea who it’s suppose to look like, but I know that it isn’t Timothy Dalton.
Jack Harkness
July 18th, 2014 - 7:12pmStrangely, this figurine is available on Sunday?
stephen m
July 18th, 2014 - 7:21pmI’ve noticed that do always seem to have later release dates for the figures. I assume subscribers will get this with September delivery, and it will be in the shops around the 11th

July 18th, 2014 - 7:22pmOops, do=fp
CassiusX
July 18th, 2014 - 10:02amThe figure looks very good and it kind of reminds me of a mecha robot, however my only complaint is that the image used for the magazine just looks a little bit naff.
The Twelfth Doctor
July 18th, 2014 - 12:29amPhotoshop could have been a lot better as the lighting doesn’t match up with the CyberKing and the background, but the figurine looks incredible!

July 17th, 2014 - 7:03pmI don’t really like the cyberking because it killed my faverouit cyberman, the cyberlord 🙁 but the figurine good though
The Werewolf
July 17th, 2014 - 7:46pmCyber Lord? The Cyberman with black face/handles and revealed brain is a Cyber Leader.
finn townley
July 17th, 2014 - 7:50pmyeah but if you look on the doctor who wiki it says lord a leader just has black bars.I got confused two I’ll try to sent a link but I don’t know how 🙁

July 18th, 2014 - 12:11amThe one that appears in The Adventure Games is referred to as a Lord rather than a Leader.
In the credits the one in The Next Doctor is called a “Cyber Leader” but given repeated references to the main character as “Doctor Who” they are hardly reliable.
The Werewolf
July 18th, 2014 - 12:24amIt was called a Cyber Leader when it made it’s second appearance too. It’s not a Lord just a fancy Cyber Leader who thinks he’s more important than he is. I still like him though.
The black handle bars = leader thing normally, but there’s no reason to think this was anything but a snooty Cyber Leader. If it wasn’t, it would’ve been named as such in the episode.
Anonymous
July 18th, 2014 - 1:06amIt never had a second appearance, an almost identical design (but Mondasian this time around) appeared at one point and was a Cyber Leader, but that’s an entirely different group so will have different rankings from their parallel counterparts.
Well the production team calls them Mondasians, Peter Capaldi demands they are actually from Telos.
The Werewolf
July 18th, 2014 - 2:27amThose Cybermen are a mixture of Cybus and Mondas much like the newer versions introduced in 2013.
Anonymous
July 18th, 2014 - 12:09pmNo “mixing”, 100% Mondas (or Telos) as confirmed by the production team, they just recycled the costumes to save money, but they have no relation.
To demonstrate this further they have never said the Cybusmen’s beloved word “Delete” (besides in the Adventure Games but we can ignore that).
finn townley
July 18th, 2014 - 4:25pmDid it work?
finn townley
July 18th, 2014 - 4:29pmThe Cyber-Lord was the commander of the Cybermen, a form of Cyber-Leader but of a higher rank.
Appearance
The Cyber-Lord had a suit similar to standard Cybermen. Its helmet, however, had black handle bars, a black face plate and a transparent “window” through which its brain could be seen, similar to the Cyber-Controller. (TV: The Next Doctor, A Good Man Goes to War)
History
A Cyber-Lord was among the Cybermen that ended up in 1851. After establishing a base in London, the Cyber-Lord forged an alliance with Mercy Hartigan, using her to gather the child labour necessary to build the Cyber-King, and in return promising her liberation, and exception from Cyber-conversion.
The Cyber-Lord eventually betrayed Hartigan, placing her in the Cyber-King’s control throne, and explaining that by becoming Cyber-King, Hartigan would receive her liberation from the anger, hatred and rage in her mind. However, Hartigan proved too strong-willed for the conversion; her mind was too powerful to control, and she decided to make her own race of Cybermen. The Cyber-Lord disagreed and attempted to remove her from the throne, but Miss Hartigan took revenge by using her new powers to destroy the Cyber-Lord. (TV: The Next Doctor)
The Werewolf
July 19th, 2014 - 2:08amNon-canon sources I’m afraid. I’m calling it a Cyber Leader, but if you want to think it is more important than it is just because it looks like it is and non-canon sources call it such then fine by me, I’ll stick to what is said in the TV series and by the people who made it.
finn townley
July 20th, 2014 - 1:34pmsorry the link didn’t work I might call it leader to
Anonymous
July 20th, 2014 - 6:18pm“I’ll stick to what is said in the TV series ”
In which case it doesn’t have any name at all, because no name was ever given.
finn townley
July 20th, 2014 - 6:52pmtrue
The Werewolf
July 20th, 2014 - 11:16pmIf a Cyberman with a design which is a little different to the other Cybermen and gives them orders and it’s rank is not named, it is implied to be a Cyber Leader or possibly a Cyber Controller. No need to start inventing new ranks because it looks different.
The Other
July 20th, 2014 - 11:48pmI think I’ll call it “The Cyber-Snob” after the points some of you have made
It has been referred to as both Cyber-Lord and Cyber-Leader across many sources, so either name is fine
Of course, the new Cybermen are yet to show any clear ranks, besides referring to Cyber-Planners, as all we’ve seen so far are endless drones strutting about without any commander what-so-ever

July 17th, 2014 - 3:59pmI’m still confused as to how everyone forgot about this great stomping machine over London? Something to do with the crack it time was it?
It looks really nice anyway.
Anonymous
July 17th, 2014 - 4:34pmThat or the other theory is that Torchwood wiped it from the records a few decades later.
Doctor 909
July 17th, 2014 - 7:13pmYeah, I think it was the crack in time that removed it from everyone’s memory’s
The Other
July 17th, 2014 - 9:27pmIt was the crack, as The Doctor deduced in Flesh and Stone
the astronaut of death
July 17th, 2014 - 3:44pmThis is great
I think they have spent so much time on this they have forgot about the normal figurines
Explosive Cookie
July 17th, 2014 - 5:16pmHow so? The War Doctor and Special Weapons Dalek I received on Tuesday are magnificent!
Moodbeam
July 17th, 2014 - 3:29pmI was impressed when I saw the sneak preview before but if the picture here is the final product then it just doesn’t look as good. What happened to The Face of Boe and the other specials mentioned previously?
stephen m
July 17th, 2014 - 7:32pmAs far as I know, eagle moss have never announced any other specials.the other suggestions were just speculation
Joseph T
August 4th, 2014 - 8:35pmThe face of boe would be an amazing special, I hope eaglemoss are taking notes!!
DOCTOR WHO ONE
July 17th, 2014 - 3:15pmI wonder what a proper Cyber King looks like, since the one shown in the series is only built here on Earth in the past out of metal’s during the Victorian era and clearly therefore not a proper Cyber King.
Maybe the New Series should show up what a proper Cyber King looks like instead of one built by Cybermen on Earth.
Sebatron
July 17th, 2014 - 3:40pmI thought about that too! I wonder what it might look like in an all out battle? 😆
Anonymous
July 17th, 2014 - 4:32pmThe Cybusmen are gone, why would the existing Cybermen want to build something created by their inferior parallel counterparts?
DOCTOR WHO ONE
July 17th, 2014 - 5:02pmBecause the Doctor obviously encountered Cyber King’s before –
“It’s a Cyber King. Dreadnaught Class”.
Anonymous
July 17th, 2014 - 5:20pmHardly obvious, the Doctor lies all the time, or he may have heard a Cybusman discussing it at some point whilst sneaking around their factories.
DalekAgent
July 17th, 2014 - 2:29pmThis looks MASSIVE! (shame it’s not going to be the same size as it was in the episode)
MrHalho
July 17th, 2014 - 3:22pmYou might need a 10000 acre field to fit that.
The Werewolf
July 17th, 2014 - 3:25pmI think you mean to scale not the same size.
DalekAgent
July 17th, 2014 - 4:44pmI wonder if this will be in a box rather than a plastic bag because it should be bigger than the tardis and the slitheen special issues
The Werewolf
July 17th, 2014 - 7:47pmIt’s base is the same size as the Slitheen’s so it’s not as big as you think.
DalekAgent
July 17th, 2014 - 9:07pmDamm it, but it still isn’t going to stop me from buying it, it looks awesome
The Other
July 17th, 2014 - 1:36pmThis looks awesome!
I wonder if they tried to put a tiny Miss Hartigan in it’s mouth!
LOL!
Nathan
July 17th, 2014 - 2:00pmThat would be amazing lol
