November 6th, 2024 - 5:01pmBought mine in-store yesterday at Southampton’s Forbidden Planet. Was good to be able to just walk in and find loads on pegs. Nice to now have two versions of the 15th Doctor. I’m really impressed with them both. They also had Ruby, new and gold Sonics and the new pink and blue 6.5inch TARDIS’s. Starting to feel a bit like the good old days of Doctor Who figure buying.

November 6th, 2024 - 7:10pmFor it to go back to those good old days there needs to be more choice than a 15th and Ruby and the odd new sonic. We need full sections with a variety of characters and monsters but alas i feel those days are long behind us. I do miss those FP, Toys R us and Woolworths trips.

November 7th, 2024 - 9:23amIt’s a start towards the good old days and for me that’s better than nothing. I’m hopeful for more in-store figures in 2025.

October 29th, 2024 - 1:47pmFor Americans and others overseas looking to buy this, Amazon.co.uk is now selling them, though they’re “temporarily out of stock”. Shipping to the US is much more reasonable than other retailers, including Character themselves. Shipping for one is 9.39 pounds, but they combine shipping to just over 13 pounds for both. But to help make up for it, they’re only charging 15 pounds each. (When you add it to your cart, it goes up by just over a pound more to account for tax.)
With all taxes and foreign currency conversions and fees, it came to just under $60 US for these.
davidhhh
October 30th, 2024 - 6:24amWell, I may have spoken too soon. Now, Amazon is saying “This item cannot be dispatched to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location” for both figures. I’m not sure if that will change again or not. Or if Amazon will honor orders placed before they changed this.
davidhhh
November 1st, 2024 - 3:56amWell, it looks like Amazon UK have got more stock lined up for next month. Now they’re available to order for US delivery again, with an arrival on December 5th.
davidhhh
November 14th, 2024 - 11:59amWell, mine are apparently on the way from Amazon.co.uk. For some weird reason, they say they’re using Australia Post, even though I live in the US. But a google search shows others who have had shipments from the UK sent via that service. So, I’ll just have to wait and see….
davidhhh
October 25th, 2024 - 12:30pmLike others, I wonder if any US retailers will have these. Amazon, maybe?
I may just buy these from FP, since their overseas shipping costs are generally more reasonable than Character’s (who charge 24 pounds to ship this 40 pound vortex set!), as long as you keep your under under 50 pounds UK. Over that, and FP ships via expensive courier.
If anyone sees these being sold on any US sites, please let us all know!
Gallifrey Falls No More
October 25th, 2024 - 11:28amExcuse me £18??? That’s a lot for these retail ones
Jamie
October 25th, 2024 - 11:47amFor larger scale fully articulated figures, it’s actually at the cheaper end of the scale. Star Wars Black Series figures have a UK retail price of 25.99.
Harvey David
October 25th, 2024 - 8:38amWith FP postage these standard versions are more expensive than the Deluxe ones.

October 24th, 2024 - 3:34pmAmerican distribution? Please!!?

November 2nd, 2024 - 7:05pmI’ve heard an US amazon retailer is coming

October 24th, 2024 - 2:37pmCrossing my fingers that this will be available in America for a decent price!
Merc1tron2k
October 24th, 2024 - 1:36pmWhat’s the difference between the vortex and these? Do the vortex editions have less posability such as no head ball joint etc?
Jamie
October 24th, 2024 - 1:49pmThey are the exact same sculpts with different paintjobs and less accessories. Articulation is just the same.
Snowman
October 24th, 2024 - 12:47pmI noticed the Doctor has the Sonic in the Packaging with him, so I presume he will have it with him in the Standard Version. It’s not a dealer Breaker anyway. Gorgeous figure and Packaging.
booboo
October 24th, 2024 - 12:58pmyes he has it, nothing else though
FH
October 24th, 2024 - 3:45pmThis is the Standard Version.
Snowman
October 24th, 2024 - 7:37pmYes FH, In this Standard version the Promotional Packaged Shot as him with is Sonic. So I was Wondering if the actual version that is in the stores will also have it. (Sometimes a Year or more passes from a Promo Shot to the Actual Released version and things change, Unfortunately).
Jamie
October 24th, 2024 - 12:30pmJust ordered both standard versions from FP. I think I prefer the standard 15 to the exclusive but I prefer the exclusive Ruby to the standard! And that may change once I have them all in hand!

October 24th, 2024 - 11:32amI had the Postman Get me up this morning at a UnGodly hour. I thought it was my Character Options Two Pack as id had a Despatch Email a Couple of Days ago. But to my Surprise it was my Garm.
The DR.
October 24th, 2024 - 11:36amI Noticed in the Burb it says he stands at an Impressive Height. (I hope Not) As he’s fairly Small in real Life Compared to Tom, Jon, etc. I had hoped he was in scale with the Other Figures. Hopefully not Peter Capaldi Size.
Snowman
October 24th, 2024 - 11:53amAh, just has I wrote that last comment Ruby and the Doctor arrived. (Lovely Figures and Packaging). Very Pleased with them.
