came across these yesterday in fp was disapointed to find they had the same sound chip as the last ones. Surly they would do different sound chips to make them more desirable.

FP have increased the price that particular Dalek and decreased the others

isn’t it obvious? they are trying to make people buy the other three

I’d recommend Priory set, but I haven’t got the other two so. The priory set is great for the story it represents, but the other two probably have more play value. 🙂

I really wish these were cheaper. They need to focus on the fp sets rather than re-releasing. I like these though.

    Yay!! Stock was in locally!

Slight shame the eye stalks on the Dead Planet Daleks are wrong, but I can swap them with the Chase box set Daleks, which used Dead Planet eye stalks.

Now, if they can just release the glass Dalek from Revelation… 😉

What I would REALLY like to see are Dalek figures from the 2 Dalek 1960s films with Peter Cushing as Doctor Who: I wrote to Character Options a few months ago with the suggestion, but they said that they weren’t considering these at present. ‘Such a shame, as the Daleks in each of those films are different – at least 7 that I counted – and I think they would make fabulous additions to any Dalek figure collections

Silly me – Should have checked that! So really only about a year from Toy Fair, Production & eventual release – Not that bad – Although it seemed longer? Probably because they turned up in Australia & the US first & got everyone panicky about them…

      January 16th, 2014 - 2:02pm

i think part of the problem was they weren’t taken up by retailers in the UK so underground toys stepped in, (there were supposed to be 7 in the wave). there seems to have been a huge delay in FP getting stocks for some reason

I’m STILL waiting for my Chase Guard Dalek, having ordered it MONTHS ago (I think from a Doctor Who toys’ ‘site).. WHEN are we going to get them?? Although I’m not looking to get more than one for my collection, If I saw them available in FP (London, in my case), I’d more than likely buy one ‘on the spot’!

    • booboo

      January 18th, 2014 - 10:53am

Some retailers put them up for order but they won’t get then now as they are a fp exclusive it looks like

There is no other dalek like the Guard Dalek from the chase, or the Special Weapons Dalek (Not pictured)whilst there are similar (although not identical) to the other two. It depends what you’re after. If it’s something unique, try one of the first two, if not, try the others.

      Hidden sounds?

    • Jammy2305

      January 12th, 2014 - 2:12pm

SWD apparently has secret voices. There’s a video on youtube showing how to unlock them.
Heard one person say that by doing it though you’ll lose the original gun sounds – Not owning one I wouldn’t know that to be honest.

    • Tardis’nt

      January 12th, 2014 - 6:14pm

I don’t think you lose the gun sounds, because you can just turn it off and on again.

To get hidden sounds you have to turn it of and hold down the button, turn it on and it beeps then you can let go and you get about 10 sounds.

I don’t have it, but it says that in the video

    • Jammy2305

      January 12th, 2014 - 7:36pm

Found another video, both original sounds become double click to activate, thus you do keep them.

All four were available at my local ABC Shop (I live in Australia).
I chose the “Genesis” version, as the “Dead Planet” and “Chase” versions have the same speech, which is also the same as the “Dalek Invasion of Earth” and “Power of the Daleks” models, both of which I have.
I’ll be getting the Special Weapons soon! Always wanted one!
