Doctor Who Diamond Classic Doomsday 5″ Set
Diamond Classic is an unofficial title give to a series of re-releases issued in “Diamond” packaging. These re-releases were distributed mostly in the USA and Australia by Underground Toys. Some eventually found their way to the UK.
Isn’t tomorrow doomsday? Well, not really. It is, however, time for Doctor Who enthusiasts to glom onto these wonderful action figures from the “Doomsday” episode of the popular BBC series.
Features…
- 10th Doctor with 3D Glasses
- Dalek Sec with Updated Tooling
- Cybermen
- Updated “Diamond Classic” Packaging
This out-of-this-world giftset presents 3 faithfully replicated 5-inch characters: Doctor Who, Cyberman, and Black Dalek. Use them to recreate your favorite scenes or exciting new adventures! Ages 5 and up.
The doomsday set was first released in 2006 the UK with a long coated 10th Doctor, Dalek Sec and Cyberman. A Second release in 2007 saw the 10th Doctor replaced with a Version with no coat and 3D Glasses.
The Diamond Classic release was the first set to feature a newly tooled and much more accurate Dalek Sec (shown left). The differences can be clearly seen in the Neck, Gun and Base.
