Doctor Who: Cyberman Box Set DVD

dvd-cybermensetDoctor Who: Cyberman Box Set DVD

Revenge of the Cybermen: The time ring takes the Doctor, Sarah and Harry back to Nerva, but to a period many thousands of years earlier than their previous visit. This is Voga, also known as the planet of gold as that metal can be found in abundance there. The three friends learn that a space plague has killed all but a handful of Nerva’s crew. A visiting civilian scientist named Kellman is in fact a traitor working with a group of Cybermen who want to destroy Voga as gold dust can coat their breathing apparatus and suffocate them. Can the Doctor stop them?

Silver Nemesis: The Doctor and Ace visit England in 1988, where three rival factions – the Cybermen, a group of Nazis and a 17th Century sorceress named Lady Peinforte – are attempting to gain control of a statue made of a living metal, validium, that was created by Rassilon as the ultimate defence for Gallifrey. Can the Doctor plays the three factions off against one other and eventually defeat to the Cyber Leader?

if anyone dosen’t know what the time ring is heres 2 things for you.

    1. it was used 2 or three times in genesis of the daleks to escape from skaro when davros or al the daleks were killed.

    2. it is not an actual ring it is more of a more lengthened bracelet

Moonbase, Tenth Planet and the Wheel in Space are about the only ones left to release unfortunately this seems a little unlikely 🙁 Ah well we have these two new additions 🙂

Silver Nemesis is a classic story, I really enjoyed it. It even has McCoy in a fez, Moffat just ripped it off 😀

Oh they’re both great stories, really. I watched Revenge of the Cybermen to death on VHS as a kid, as it was the first released. Silver Nemesis is really peculiar and quite good, I think. One of McCoy’s better efforts.

Revenge Of The Cybermen is a good old fashioned Cybermen romp, except the Cybermen aren’t seen much in the first part of the story and maybe the guns in the helmets wasn’t a good idea.
Silver Nemesis has been called the weakest story in the 25th anniversary series and although this is true it still has some good bits, especially the “awakening” of Nemesis.
