B&M 2021 The Keys of Marinus Figure Set
Character Options is delighted to announce its first new wave of Doctor Who action figure sets for 2021 with four new lines scheduled to arrive in B and M stores across the country in Mid-August.
This exciting launch will introduce two more action figure trios plus two additional special collectors’ packs for Dalek Fans. Each and every set of this detailed series will include highly detailed 5.5 inch scale figures featuring multiple points of articulation and come presented in the ‘heritage’ Doctor Who packaging with specially created insert artwork.
From a classic episode of 1964 is The Keys of Marinus Collector Figure three figure Set. This Ian Chesterton Action Figure depicts one of The Doctors very first companions and is accompanied by not one but two Voord Warrior Action Figures with dagger accessory.
The evil Voord Warriors of the Planet Marinus with its arid land and acid seas are extremely memorable because of their truly unique design and are replicated in this classic set. Again this comes with a detailed insert card.

August 13th, 2021 - 11:24amThis time of year is always the most stressful just tried B&M in Aberdeen and the product codes aren’t even on their system yet… probably going to be another 2/ 3 weeks until they get them the lady thinks
booboo
August 13th, 2021 - 11:41amThe product codes will only go live on store systems when the stock is logged in at the central warehouse.
All sets, including those due later are on the system as such but then they have been months (bar codes work but you cant check locations any more it seems, dont know if that temporary or not)

August 13th, 2021 - 11:53amYou shouldn’t be too concerned. These are mass market, not limited. There will be loads

August 13th, 2021 - 6:10pmHopefully they’ll have sufficient stock into early September as typically I am away on holiday next week when they’re said to be put out! A similar thing happened two years ago when they released the 8 sets including the Shada TARDIS, so was very stressful, but fortunately managed to get them all in early sept upon my return, although I was fortunate as they tend not to stay around too long and I was expecting them to be long gone by then. At least there should be less stress this time with having less sets to pick up.

August 9th, 2021 - 6:51pmYes!!!
Loving more Monsters, Aliens, Robots, Creatures and especially Companions!!!
Definitely need a Susan and Barbara!!! (I think Character could develop a Barbara and Tegan in mind and basically be a repaint of the skirted body).
A Zoe with 2 Wheel in Space Cybermen!!!
A Jamie with a Web of Fear Yeti or a Yeti 2 pack (swappable “heads” would allow Abominable and Web of Fear Yeti versions sharing the body)
Companions of the Fifth Doctor Set: Adric, Tegan and Nyssa in their Season 19 “uniforms” – can you imagine how beautiful they’d all look on a shelf with the Visitation TARDIS and the Fifth Doctor???
Spacewarp
August 8th, 2021 - 1:50pmI suspect this is going to be the template for future classic companion figures. A Companion or Doctor flanked by two monsters seems to get the most sales. I bought two more Sontarans just to get Harry Sullivan, and I’d buy another Doctor just to get two Sensorites. This set is pretty special, because I won’t be buying a duplicate.
So I think we might see a Jamie perhaps with a pair of Dominators, and possibly a Victoria with a couple of Ice Warriors (love an Ice Lord). Perhaps even a Zoe with two “War Games” Time Lords. The possibilities are endless, but they are always going to maximise sales, so that they can keep the line going.

August 8th, 2021 - 1:46pmIt’s a shame we have to rely a lot on previous moulds from non who figures. Makes choices very limited. Yes I know it’s a cost thing. At least some of the old proposed but unreleased prototypes are being unveiled like the tartan scarf Baker and hopefully 1st Dr Hurndall. Any other prototypes mentioned or leaked in the past do people know may be future releases?
Eric the Dalek
August 5th, 2021 - 5:27amI really hope they soon finish the first Doctor’s companions. Jamie and Zoe are desperately needed as well, for two. Plenty for number five yet. I will enjoy displaying an Adric that just lays there, in death. Snicker. And please, give us more Masters!
Slitheen09
August 6th, 2021 - 2:21pmI’m really hoping for Barbara. She always together with Ian, a companion duo.
Dalek Eye Stalk
August 6th, 2021 - 7:35pmPerhaps Barbara could be included in a Zarbi set.
Dan the butcher
August 6th, 2021 - 11:12pmA Masters set would be fantastic!
Delgado through Roberts, lovely!!
Dalek Eye Stalk
August 7th, 2021 - 9:02amI’d really like to see a Jamie and Zoe figure released alongside a Cyberman from ‘The Wheel in Space’.
Philip Shaw
August 7th, 2021 - 9:46amThey could do an ‘edge of destruction ‘ set with Susan and Barbara, and a first Dr variant with bandage on his head.
Philip Shaw
August 7th, 2021 - 9:49amI’d also love an ‘enemy of the world ‘ set with 2nd Dr variant as Salamander, Jamie in black uniform, and Victoria.
TARDIS traveller
August 7th, 2021 - 1:44pmJudging by the approach of one companion and two monster sets to push for repeat purchases for army building a tenth planet set would be good. Polly using Joe grant body and a new head sculpt with two Cybermen
TheWHOlegacy
August 7th, 2021 - 3:43pmFaceless ones set would be easy to do as you can use the axon body for the chameleon
Spacewarp
August 8th, 2021 - 3:24pmIf they do a Zoe, it’s bound to be a sparkly cat-suit one. In which case I’m going to need a 1960s console to drape her on.

August 4th, 2021 - 11:22amLeft my name and number. The woman i,ve dealt with before is going to call back and put the 4 sets aside for me as soon as they hit the shelves. Nothing on the system as yet but i,m hoping within the fortnight. Saves me the trouble of bombing about to different stores. They sold all their last stock and they cleared them when they had a reduction. She told me even shoplifters were trying to get them to sell on with the last few waves.

August 4th, 2021 - 12:00pmOf course coleman. Sheffy is usually behind. Same with wakey but everything might be different this time around. Better to get them in early.

Doctor Stu
August 3rd, 2021 - 8:18pmIan looks brilliant but as a new who fan I’m sort of sitting there with my hand against the glass watching all these brand new classic sets get released and wishing for some brand new ‘new who’ stuff. (Actually brand new, not just repainted Doctors, Daleks or Davros with shiny balls)
But saying that, if they’re going to continue with these classics, please just give us a Jamie. That’s all I’m asking for.
John
August 4th, 2021 - 8:44am3 New Who sets last year! Unfortunately its just not as popular and most of the 10th Dr er was so widely covered there’s little point repeating it and a lot of 11th Doc stuff peg warmed (the rest were ikkle).
sadly Jodie hasn’t had memorable monsters to make – look how long the Dalek sat around and still cheap everywhere.
Doctor Stu
August 4th, 2021 - 9:09amThose new who sets weren’t really groundbreaking though, the same twelve, the same Davros, the same judoon thrown in etc. the classics are getting new monsters. I don’t see how new who would be unpopular there are loads of eleventh Doctor villains that would fly off the shelves, same with twelve, to be fair, even thirteens cybermen would be snatched up in droves. I guess it’ll be our turn in 40 years or so when the current show is the new classic XD
JL
August 4th, 2021 - 11:07amI’d love to see more 12th doctor villains on the shelf, I think if they can put this much new sculpting onto the axon man body for voord and sensorites, I’d love to see a new chest and head sculpt on a mondasian cyberman to make the 2017 world enough and time mondasians, sell it with a cybus design cyberman that was also on the colony ship, and with a nardole figure or a John simm master variant from the doctor falls, I’d imagine that would sell well. While speaking of 12th doctor era stuff, the yazmin khan slash romana one body could make a decent into the dalek Clara oswald, or adapt her original figure with a new pvc dress and new head sculpt for an under the lake variant
Similarly, either a blue shirt with red boe tie series 7a 11th doctor or a white shirt with purple coat series 7b 11th doctor, with a new smiling variant weeping angel or a black shirt time of the doctor silent, a whisperman could easily be made from a snowmen 11th doctor body

August 5th, 2021 - 6:06pmThere’s barely been any classic stuff from B & M until last couple of years. Two sets last time of 13th’s companions, who let’s be fair are terrible compared with the likes of Jamie, Zoe and Turlough who they haven’t even made once. Anything they can release regarding the classic series is welcomed for me, the new series stuff is ok, just doesn’t sell as well, other than Daleks.
Phantom Sidious
August 6th, 2021 - 1:39pmNew who isn’t popular anymore, the Classics are timeless and always sell extremely well, the modern series has played all its cards and turned most people away, hence why new who sets don’t sell well compared to classics being sold out and hard to get
