May 23rd, 2016 - 3:13amHow many gallons is this tank?
steve
January 17th, 2016 - 7:12pmWould be suitable IMHO for a couple of annual killifish, as in the wild they live in small “Puddles” only problem being the fact that the aquarium has no lid or heater but heaters are quite inexpensive. Unsure if you could buy a lid for this tank, however a sheet of glass would probably suffice (killifish are known to jump)

March 1st, 2013 - 3:49amThis tank would be ok for a male beta assuming you remember to keep an eye on the water. Another good fish would be no more than 4 guppies, which fancy guppies can be VERY pretty (the fish that started me on aquariums). I really cant tell what kind of filter comes with the set up but you can easily purchase a carbon filter for a 1-5 gal tank to improve the quality of the water and the health of the fish. This tank really is super awesome and there is nothing wrong with it. I just recommend research before you get fish for it 🙂

December 29th, 2012 - 11:30pmI personally think the stickers on the front of the tank make it look tacky.

December 9th, 2012 - 12:33amOkay wow….. some of those above comments, about gold fish and this tank being too small…. People! There are Fish bowls -smaller- than this that fish live in!
Just saying…….
Matt
January 14th, 2013 - 10:03pmYes, there are bowls smaller than this, and they are not suitable either. I have seen first hand the sickness and deformities that occur in fish by being kept in bowls and aquariums that are simply not suitable.
Don’t be arrogant, get advice from people that KNOW what they are talking about.
This would be a good place to ask BEFORE you buy a fish death box and end up having to then try and put things right.

December 5th, 2012 - 10:11amThis would be great for a fighting fish, they don’t need a lot of room.
jazz
August 20th, 2013 - 4:48pmActually, they DO need a lot of room. Pet stores misinform customers due to their not knowing or just being told to say whatever to sell. Fighting fish’s natural habitat is 3 feet tall and many MANY acres across. Endless acres. A fighting fish needs at least a 2.5 gallon tank to thrive. They can survive in much smaller but it stresses them out and you would be amazed at how short a life span it gives them.

October 6th, 2012 - 7:57pmIt may be too small for fish, but would probably be a great tank for SeaMonkeys! I mean, one of the teeny tiny little tanks they sell is supposed to hold up to 100, so one like this would be great for a huge colony of them. I might just get me one for the SeaMonkeys my roommate and I currently have.

December 29th, 2012 - 11:33pmAre seamonkeys those things you grow?

September 24th, 2012 - 7:35amCool now your fish can travel in time and space and fight evil cybereels and sea devils and the greatest the great white daleks and the weeping starfish

September 6th, 2012 - 11:48pmTo be fair, pet shop retailers (Pets at Home is where I recently bought mine) wouldn’t be selling this tank, whether for a child or an adult Who enthusiast, unless you could keep fish in it, otherwise they wouldn’t provide a filter with the product and give instructions inside for keeping fish. Obviously due to the size of the tank 2-3 small cold water fish maximum is recommended. Some of the comments on here are totally ridiculous and misinformed.

September 6th, 2012 - 11:56pmyou didn’t see the abuse we got for just showing this item from apparent fish experts
amazing how opinion differs
problem is small fish get bigger and that’s where some of the problem lies it seems
we were even asked to remove the article hence the warnings

May 25th, 2013 - 8:19pmthis tank would be the ideal size for a betta fish, just add a heater to keep the water 78 degrees Fahrenheit, they ARE Tropical fish! The leading cause of death in betta “tanks” is fatty liver (no room to exercise), ammonia poisoning, and bacterial infections from dirty water.
Petstores often sell a lot of things that aren’t very well suited for pets, but they manage to get away with it because people fail to fully educate themselves on their pets, citing that they’re “just animals”, and therefore, why care?

April 7th, 2012 - 6:05pmMy fish need a new smaller home, so this is my choice, 100%!

January 12th, 2012 - 9:46amI would get this if it was a bit bigger 🙁 such a shame, it just seems like they didn’t do their homework before bringing out a product like this. How disappointing…

January 12th, 2012 - 9:55amthere are many themed tanks Like this which on the face of it are to small for fish however you can buy a Tardis ornament http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dr-Who-Tardis-Aquarium-Ornament/dp/B004CEMYUE and could use a poster on the back of a larger more suitable tank

November 29th, 2011 - 4:45pmnow this looks cool ownly if i had a fish note to self get a fish where i no i nbo erm a o no the kitten and cats might eat it good thogh

November 29th, 2011 - 4:32pmCompletely in adequate to keep fish in! 1. Not enough room for a stable happy
life for fish! 2. Can only keep cold water fish, so no beautiful tropical fish!
3. Were are you going to keep all of the equipment? 4. Not safe, a fish could
jump out and die!!! And theres many more!!! Sorry to be a pain, but its true!
Anonymous
November 29th, 2011 - 4:38pmThere’s a lid, and a filter.
It is adequate to keep certain types of fish, I doubt that there is any tank suitable for all fish (not even the sea).

November 29th, 2011 - 4:42pmI have taken the matter up with an expert and await there reply – i will decide to what to do after I have heard from them – to be honest this is causing more trouble than its worth.
A local aquatic retailer consider a 15L aquarium too small to house goldfish, but it is suitable for small coldwater fish such as white cloud mountain minnows.

November 29th, 2011 - 4:42pmOhhhh why did it get deleted, please answer. I didnt see anything wrong with it!!…?

November 29th, 2011 - 4:48pmi just wanted to read it. if this tank is suitable for fish then i will find out, if not i will do something about it but until then we have to take it at face value

December 29th, 2011 - 6:12pmmy son has this tank which we got from pets at home who wouldnt sell it if not suitable for fish as they would get done for that we have a couple of goldfish who are quite happy in the tank and have loads of room .
booboo
December 29th, 2011 - 6:31pmAfter some very aggressive comments left by individuals on the site we took advice from a well known animal welfare organisation who have given me details as to the recommended minimum adequate requirements for goldfish (or any fish really) and this tank does not meet them. Now that the advice has been given we cannot feature it here as being suitable for fish. This article only remains here as it is still a licensed Doctor Who product.
