My daughter has just announced that she wants this for Christmas, but everywhere is sold out.
There are Ebay sellers, but when I tryt o checkout I get told it’s unavailbale!

Anyone know where I can get one for a normal price please (in the UK), not an extortionate one!
Perhaps you know a local bookshop that doesn’t come up on a google search?

    Many Thanks,
    David

This one came out in September 22 so I don’t think shops will have copies.

I’ve just read through this today. Bit cheeky putting in a Clara story which ends saying this short story is available in the ‘Origins’ book coming out later this year. It’s basically an advert.

The thing i’m confused about is, every annual is given he date of the next year, so this is the annual to be released in 2022, this year, so 59th anniversary. The 2014 annual was released 2013 and was the one dubbed the 50th anniversary on the cover, not the 2013 one the year prior.

So I guess that means they’re starting celebrations this year to build up hype with the 60th year one being a normal one, or maybe there’s another reason, but i won’t spoil anything here, in case it’s true.

I suspect the will want Ncuti on the front of the 2024 annual, he will probably not have much to do with the 60th so i can see why they have gone this route, especially as Annuals are a Christmas thing really.

I’ll be very disappointed if he is not the doctor for the 60th. What’s the point otherwise? Unless Russell is just giving in to the internet trolls of course

RTD would have all stories for the 60th written and production well advanced before he was even announced, the current filming proves that, so cant have anything to do with trolls.

If this is the case and he’s bringing Tennant and Tate in for a special or two, he may have a series of specials leading up to 14th Dr’s proper story after his regen cameo no doubt in Whittaker’s finale. I’d like to see him bring back McGann, Davison et al for hour long specials during 2023 to lead into the November special assuming it’s then, it would give the others screen time they were denied in the 50th Anniversary, which essentially was a celebration of the relaunched series, not even from 2005, cos Eccleston didn’t appear properly…. A seven year anniversary!

Next years annual is the following years date… as it’s always been. Didn’t think it was complicated

The point being made is we are still in 2021 yet we already have a 2023 annual being advertised. Didn’t think it was complicated.

many other books and CD’s due 2022 have been listed on this site well before this and no one picked on them, All 2023 annuals are released in 2022, when they are put out for marketing is irrelevant its just another book already available to order along with many others due next year.

I know the covers most likely a placeholder, but I wish they’d keep it, I rather like it.

By rights it should be a Jodie cover as we probably will not see the new Doctor until 2023 itself, so their cover will be on the 2024 annual. It would make up for the 13th Doctor missing from this years annual cover.

    • December 24th, 2021 - 1:39pm

It will be a Jodie annual and all annuals are announced far in advance as is usual

      It’s for the industry buyers.

Orders for shops are taken in January/February for that years Christmas.
