Doctor Who and the Horns of Nimon 4th Doctor Audio CD

Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk

Geoffrey Beevers reads this exciting novelisation of a classic TV adventure for the Fourth Doctor, Romana and K-9.

In the great maze of the Powe Complex dwells the dreaded Nimon, a fearsome monster with immense scientific powers.

The Nimon has promised to restore the Skonnan Empire to its former glory. But first it demands sacrifice – youths and maidens from the peaceful planet Aneth.

The TARDIS collides with the spaceship delivering the victims, and the captured Romana is condemned to be sacrificed to the Nimon. Aided by the faithful K-9, the Doctor goes to the rescue. In the heart of the maze he confronts the Nimon and uncovers a terrifying plot to enslave the galaxy.
Geoffrey Beevers, who played the Master in the BBC TV series, reads Terrance Dicks’s novelisation of the 1979 TV serial by Anthony Read.

Why does this exist when the actual story is available to watch on DVD/Blu-ray/Digital?

Not everyone is able to watch a DVD or Blu-ray and this is an excellent way for people to enjoy the story and use their imagination to provide the settings and the look of the characters.

Yes, MDS. The audios (not least for visually-impaired people) are great representations of the original Target books, which often differ from and enhance what we can watch on DVD/Blu-ray.

So few of these left now. What is it ? Six or seven ?

    An Unearthly Child
    The Celestial Toymaker
    Evil Of The Daleks (Peel)
    Loch Ness Monster
    Destiny Of The Daleks
    The two Mara stories
    Planet of Fire

It only seems a few years ago that the first tin with the 3 original books came out. Now, here we are.

May be a few more now they have started to dip their toes in the Missing Adventures / alternate Season 23 stories, so maybe:

      Mission to Magnus
      The Ultimate Evil

And also these books had Target logos / numbering:

      The Paradise of Death
      The Pescatons

      Maybe…

      Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma
      Harry Sullivans War

Doctor Who Crossword Book (just kidding with that one…..)

      Oh I forgot Slipback.

Could make a start on the New Adventures next but they will shock a lot of new and younger fans.

Remember though that An Unearthly Child, already recorded, can’t come out for the foreseeable future due to the Coburn jr situation.

Now would be a good time for the Toymaker to be released. I do hope we get the John Peel Evil, and the two Mara stories

Ooh Read by Geoffrey Beevers. A superb reader and his take on soldeed will be interesting.

Always thought the character was a broken man as he realised he had sold his whole planet to death and destruction.
