Doctor Who 1990s Book Wannabes Hardcover

Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk

It’s Dublin in 1994, and the Doctor and Donna have arraived at the tiny nightclub known as Headlong.

Headlong is famous for precisely one thing – holding the karaoke night where four young women came together to make the biggest girl band of the 90s: the Honeybloods.

Donna has convinced the Doctor to visit their first ever concert (she reckons she could have been a Honeyblood if the timelines were different) – and he has begrudgingly agreed.

Naturally the band is kidnapped by a deadly pack of siren-like creatures who feed off human adulation, usually harvested by taking the form of cultural icons.

With Dublin and the world to save, Donna may get her chance to perform on the world’s biggest stage .

These decades books sound right peculiar.

I remember the days when Hardbacks had proper Dustjackets with a decent design for them. I have just received my 6 Decades Collection Books & to be honest they are terrible. Badly imprinted foil with an awful design, which overall come’s off as extremely rough & they really look it as well. Not at all happy with them!

No I’m sorry why the hell is the 90s one 10 and Donna, and not 7 or 8? That literally makes no sense?

      Maybe it’s 14 and Donna!

      That makes even less sense!

Ew god no, we don’t need even more of that embarrassing excuse of a Doctor. If it has to be a Tennant Doctor, I’d rather it be 10 but I’d also much rather it be an actual decade specific Doctor like the other four.

Not convinced the others are decade specific. 70’s sounds like it could be 12 not 3. 80’s features 4 instead of the main doctors of the decade 5, 6 or 7. Not happy about Tennant being used in two books but it is what it is. For some reason he is popular but I never liked him. Would have preferred a Smith novel and a multi doctor short story collection really. I’ll still buy these thought as i find the 10th doctor less irritating in prose than on screen.

I’m still thinking that there’s gotta be two more books for the 10s and 20s, probably with 11 and 14ant or the real 14th Doctor (Gatwa), which could be a possibility if it comes post-anniversary.

Yes I think we will get a teens and 20’s book, it makes sense for them anyway. My preference would be for Matt Smith and Jodie for those.

      Because it’s about time travel?

Steve if you have a series of books that are saying they are inspired by specific decades of who then it’s not unreasonable to hope that the doctors used are from those decades.

Erm, why isn’t this a Paul mcgann book? Or even a McCoy one? I’ve still ordered it but it is a bit annoying that they are pushing Tennant yet again. Sorry to be controversial but he’s one of my least favourite new who doctors. Still, I’m happy we are finally getting some books for the anniversary

I mean, we dunno if the 60s book is a 1st or 2nd Doctor story, the 70s one sounds more like 12 than 3, and 4 and Romana are the ones in the 80s story despite only appearing at the very start of the 80s. So there’s no telling if they’re using Doctors who appeared within those decades in these stories.

Seems odd though to be decades books but not feature appropriate doctors. The eighties book is an odd choice as well. The other thing is that it means there are two Tennant books. The 90’s book and a (currently unavailable to order) short story collection. If these are random doctors then fine but considering these are anniversary books then perhaps a little love to the doctors who don’t get new books might be nice.

Wait, what’s this about the short story collection? Where’s that info from? Is that part of this range of books based on the different decades of Who or something else?

I agree that I’d have preferred a book with 7 or 8 (a new novel featuring Fitz and Trix would have been neat), but I thought I’d point out that it’s not entirely certain if the decades will stick with one of the Doctors from that decade.

The short story collection is on Amazon but is not available to order yet. It is nine stories featuring the 10th doctor and one featuring the 14th doctor. Presumably due for release same day or near to the release of the decades books
