For people in the US. On Amazon a pre-order listing for this has gone up. It is set to release in February 2025.

It is now 8 July 2024 and I have not been able to find a copy of anything at all on how to order the 60th annerversity of Doctor Who. Has Disney ruined this too? I so wish BBC had left things alone and allowed BBC America to air Doctor Who as it had always done so very faithful to the fans. Shameful!

It’s believed to be an exclusivity window in physical releases outside of the uk. If Disney hadn’t picked up distribution it would have been someone else. It was never going to stay on bbc America.

Bit annoyed on opening the case to find no booklet or leaflet (Or even on the inside cover) a list of the Special Features or what is on each disc?

It probably won’t be a while. From what I’m hearing Disney want an exclusivity window

You can always get the UK version via Bezos’ Australian site if you can’t find a UK site to send direct. It’s not usually that far off the UK price plus postage, and is cheaper on release than having someone in the UK buy it and post it to you.

Mine’s also been sent out, so hopefully I get it sometime this week? I’m hoping the CIN Skaro segment get’s added to one of the later releases (Maybe The Daleks Colour version?) as I regard that as a new part of Whovian history that need’s to be added to disc to keep.

I am so looking forward to getting these with all those superb extras especially now they’ve been aired and wasn’t The Giggle truly magnificent? I shan’t say more in fear of spoilers for those who may not yet have seen it, other than it won’t disappoint.

It’s still unclear if US will get a physical release just yet. Disney+ may hold exclusivety for a certain time as per their streaming agreement.

      Maybe?

nice cover but why are they not using the new/old diamond logo

This way the logo takes up less room, and doesn’t spoil the graphics (without positioning the main composition of the graphics further down and chopping off the bottom). I hope this is the way to go for the Dr Who target audiobooks too.

      Currently unknown.

It is yet clear if the Disney+ deal means no physical releases of the 60th Specials and onwards in the USA until they have been on the platform for a certain time.

BBC handles the home media, it’s literally nothing to worry about, I imagine we’ll get info on a Region A release soon.

“Villains” of wild blue yonder? Interesting, wondering who they could be, because at this point I don’t think the Toymaker will be in special 2 a huge amount if he’s even in it at all.
