5.5″ B&M 2017 Collectors Set The 4th Doctor

To find your nearest store visit www.bmstores.co.uk. Please ring (option 3) to check availability before travelling. Priced at £16.99 per set. Product code 294255

This 5.5″ figure set is presented in collectors series window box packaging.

The 4th Doctor set contains…

  • The 4th Doctor
  • Leela
  • K9 Mk1

This second B&M exclusive 4th Doctor Set contains The 4th Doctor from the 1975 Tom Baker story The Pyramids of Mars, leela from the 1978 Tom Baker story The Invasion Of Time and K9 Mk1 first seen in the 1977 story The Invisible Enemy.

Accessories include the sonic screwdriver with the 4th Doctor and a knife with Leela.

The Leela in this set is a re-release of the one seen in the Invasion Of Time set released some years ago.

The new figure (front) does have darker hair and more noticeable blue eyes but other differences are minor.

The k9 in the set is undoubtedly the highlight for long term collectors.

This K9 Mk1 is a darker grey than previous releases along with a black tail, top panel and painted side view screen.

The image below shows the difference between this new release (left) and the previous version.

I don’t have this specific 4th Doctor, but I believe, with the exceptions of the Season 18 4th Doctors, that the heads on all 4th Doctor figures (including this one) are removable.

I got this set and the monsters set today. So happy I got them. This is the first year I’ve managed to pick up all the sets!

Quite a few left still in Gorton B&M Manchester. Wasn’t going to get them but they’ve been in there for a while now and haven’t sold out so I went for it. Think they’ve only got 1 of the 4th & Monster set left, plenty of 9th set though (obviously, because who would want that Rose)

Just managed to get this today, only one 9th doctor set left now and four sonics. No monster set and didn’t look like there was ever a 12″ Dalek there.

Which pack or set is the original K9 Mk1 (As pictured) side-by-side from?

It is a picture of the figure from this set placed next to a picture of the same figure. The K-9 Mk 1 figure is exclusive to this set and has never been released before

No, I mean what pack/set is the original K9 Mk1 from? Not this new 2017 Exclusive release but the original K9 Mk1?

no idea could be one of several, probably the rose k9 or Sarah Jane k9 pack its also Mark IV technically the “previous” release referring to the original Character options model

Well the original CO release wasn’t mk1, this is the first mk1. Wave 1 of figures in Feb 2006 came with a rusty mk3, then wave 2 in May I believe came with Mk4. They’re the only versions of the figure released up to this point, available in:
Rose and K-9 single carded figures
      Companions set
      4th Doctor and K-9
      Sarah Jane and K-9
      The remote control K-9 packs

      Hope this helps 🙂
