web prices are often lower as its a more competitive market and shop overheads are much greater, nothing unusual

Postage usually brings the price up to store prices when you order online , it’s to do with interest and such unfortunately.

I got mine delivered the other day from fp. I have to say, the blue suit 10th is such a good likeness for a 3.75″ figure.

after a bit of a hit and miss start these figures are becoming really good for a smaller scale

    • Exterminator

      January 17th, 2015 - 4:13pm

I agree they’re great figures. I’ve even started packing some of my 5″ ones away and displaying these. That’s how much I like them.

      January 17th, 2015 - 4:19pm

people dont know how lucky they are these days

£6 for an articulate figure with a good likeness, dapol were £6.99 15 years ago (and vat was only 8% then not 17.5% like now)

I remember buying my first nicam TV, Sony 26″ with separate speakers £1000!

and the very first household betamax for £299 – and it didn’t even have a timer

      how things have changed

    • The Twelfth Doctor

      January 17th, 2015 - 4:28pm

I absolutely agree. I really love these figures and I think they are just as good as the 5″ scale figures. 🙂

    • the astronaut of death

      January 17th, 2015 - 5:00pm

How are they just as good?

Although I still love the 3.75 figures

But the detail on the 5 inch figures is obviously better.

    • booboo

      January 17th, 2015 - 5:22pm

just as good for the size (and half the price)

its not about comparisons its what’s achievable for the price the market dictates and they do very well

I mean a Skovox Blitzer for £6 (and i have not heard one bad word from anyone who has bought one) who’s complaining?

we hear so much about bring back the 5″ but costs went up considerably and the casual market just wont stand £12 – £15 a figure, the collectors market will, just, and that’s what we have been getting anyway

    • The Twelfth Doctor

      January 17th, 2015 - 5:32pm

Because I think that they are just as good and definitely a worthy replacement for what was definitely a dead line.

    • Anonymous

      January 17th, 2015 - 5:40pm

      Dead line?

    • booboo

      January 17th, 2015 - 5:42pm

from the mainstream retailers point of view, its not actually dead, just evolved

    • The Twelfth Doctor

      January 18th, 2015 - 9:44am

The 5″ line was dead (at the time anyway). There hadn’t been any new sculpts (Apart from Rory and a few UT exclusives) in ages and shops weren’t buying enough stock to keep them going. That’s why I think the 3.75″ figures are worthy replacements for the 5″ line which has been and gone (but is ever so slowly returning).

    • TheExtremeBlueTARDIS

      January 18th, 2015 - 9:52am

I agree that the 3.75″ line has improved – but for me the 5″ line will always be the best.

      January 19th, 2015 - 1:24pm

these are getting better but 5inch will always be on my shelf. the kids can play with the 3.75 ones even tho they break within minutes. the 5 inch have been played with more but only the daleks seem to break. Thank god for super glue

Ordered the Scovox Blitzer, Tenth Doctor in Blue Suit and Day of the Daleks Gold Dalek on Wednesday (14th) night, whilst all three were still up for pre-order. I’ve noticed the Gold Dalek is now out of stock – it was in stock for a brief time after 12 AM Thursday (15th) morning after the pre-order altered into in stock; automatically, I’m guessing.

Did anyone else order the Gold Dalek on the 14th? I’m hoping I just got my order in in time.

Recieved my Skovox Blitzer Figure today and it is Great! Easily one of the best 3.75″ Monster Figures from the line IMO! The Paint is also like Wholords2 said more of a Silver with Bronze wash so its close enough to the actual onscreen Prop.

How hard is it to get the leg things on it do you have to do what you would do if you got a TITAN dalek ?

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      January 13th, 2015 - 7:24pm

I don’t own any TITAN Daleks I’m afraid, however you do have to push the legs quite hard into the body but not too hard as you don’t want to break them. There shouldn’t be any danger of that happening though.

    • The Twelfth Doctor

      January 13th, 2015 - 8:06pm

Basically, with TITANS Daleks, you have to put them in hot water for them to fit in the holes.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      January 13th, 2015 - 9:03pm

Oh right, thanks for that The Twelfth Doctor. Well with the Skovox Blitzer Figure you don’t have to do that, you just simply connect the legs to the body when its unpackaged.

Because they are lazy and can’t be bothered making a new sculpt

    • booboo

      January 9th, 2015 - 8:17pm

more i would think at £5.99 the cost of new tooling is just not worth it

    • CaptainJimiPie

      January 12th, 2015 - 8:52am

But they have the waistcoat less sculpt from the Tweed version, all they had to do was swap the coat.

There’s no excuse for this apart from laziness as far as I can see!

    • booboo

      January 12th, 2015 - 8:59am

Would probably still mean altering a production line at great additional cost let alone time which is not worth it for a £6 (less 20% vat, less factory, character, shops profits , less licensing, rights packaging, shipping and other costs) figure.

Factories work to tight schedules and altering what may appear to us to be the most basic of things costs time and money had would not be worth it for the price of these figures and would add to the cost to much.

I saw plenty DW toys in Boots too (previous Wave 3 stuff). I bet Argos is gonna carry them too, although Argos is the worst place on Earth (usually the people at the till don’t understand how can be multiple items under the same code and why does it matter to me which one I buy .In many cases, even if the local online catalogue says they have like 25 figures in stock, actually they only have one. I would rather go to TRU which is like a 1-1,5 trip to me).
