pc-300Character Options unveil Twelfth Doctor 3.75inch figure as Doctor Who range regenerates

Fans of Doctor Who have much to be excited about at present, with the successful return of the television series and a new Doctor to get to know. In addition, Character Options is delighted to unveil the much anticipated action figure for the newly regenerated Twelfth Doctor, as portrayed by Peter Capaldi.
A great gift for fans and collectors alike, this poseable range of 3.75 inch action figures include some iconic characters from the hit TV show.

The new assortment includes favourite characters from the past and present series, including the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth incarnation of the famous Time Lord, his fiery former companion Amy Pond and two versions of the Daleks; classic design and Asylum design (as seen in Asylum of the Daleks).

For collectors wishing to complete their line-up of Time Lords the Twelfth Doctor can be found in two guises; in his regenerated form as seen in the The Time of the Doctor and in his stylish new outfit which will become more familiar as Series 8 progresses; resplendent in black long-line jacket, waistcoat, trousers and boots.

This latest figure will be first of the Twelfth Doctor in his own unique style and is eagerly awaited by fans. In fact, the range is so highly anticipated that Character Options had to air freight more figures in order to meet demand. The figure promises to be one of the most successful to date…!

Selected figures are available in store now. Each figure costs just £6.99 and is presented on its own red Doctor Who Display base (excluding Dalek figures).

Please note this is a Press release.

Maybe not I have a bad feeling after ordering it that it maybe just the regenerated figure with the wrong picture as the title differs from the stock photo. I have tried contacting the bbc to confirm if it is the right figure but have had no luck reaching them.

Unfortunately it takes up to 48 hours for customer service to get back to you yo cancel the item which is not helpful as most of the time the bbc shop are quick on dispatch. They have already dispatched mine 🙁 hopefully it will be sorted out soon. Thanks again.

BBC Shop Liverpool have their delivery but it hasn’t been registered on their system, so the figures won’t be ready to buy until Thursday. On the plus side at least they are finally in the building waiting to be put up on the system and be sold!

I think you’ll find the coat on this particular image is photoshopped – it will probably be a bit longer on the final thing. This image is literally the ‘open-red-lining’ figure image, with some badly added blue coat sides added over the top.

While I do like the costume; I have to say that the head sculpt looks poor? If that’s suppose to be Peter Capaldi’s face, then I’m Mark McManus. Why change the head sculpt when they had a perfect head sculpt of Capaldi for his regenerated figure? It makes no sense.

I think it actually looks like Peter Capaldi compared to other 3.75 doctor who figures.

  • Jaffa Cakes

    September 10th, 2014 - 2:47pm

I really love Peter Capaldi’s costume, but I’m not quite sure it translates too well as a toy. The colours are a bit too dark so look a tad dull. I know the sculpted flaps wouldn’t have made much sense, but they certainly would have been eye catching. I think I may wait to see if they do a variant based on his costume from Robot of Sherwood, with the burgundy shirt.

Now that I know that he actually wore that in an episode, I like it a lot more. Just hope we get better pics and that it’ll be on the Forbidden Planet website. According to a CO worker’s Twitter, the red lining has not been painted, which is so disappointing. Never mind though, the figure still looks great.
