Character Building Series 2 Super Rare’s
Out of millions of figures available, there are just 500 of the Hologram Silent, and River Song, whilst 250 each have been made of Rory Williams as the Last Centurion and Amy Pond in a Pirate Costume. Most elusive of all however will be the Eleventh Doctor unshaven and in a straightjacket with just 100 pieces to be found!

Hi there
I was lucky enough to get two super rare figs, the straight jacketed doctor and Rory the Roman. What were the chances of that?
The back print on the back of the Doctor was a nice surprise too, as this is missing from the publicity shots.
I had ordered 6 boxes of figures from Character Options to identify and resell, which isn’t a great deal. Much as I’d love to keep them in my collection, I wouldn’t dare. My two kids would have their body parts swapped round with Lego figs in a trice. And baby is very partial to minifig heads. Yummy. But before listing, I couldn’t resist taking a few pics of them around a Lego Tardis console I built.
Well, they’re both on Ebay now (my seller id is giftswithguts). To the future owner, take good care of them both.

September 8th, 2011 - 1:37pmI just had a go at making my first custom… just a practice really, since I haven’t made one before (never needed to). Anyway, I made my own straightjacket Doctor, since I can’t get the real thing.
It didn’t turn out too bad actually. Though I didn’t have accurate colours, so he’s currently Doctor Blackbeard until I can buy some brown paint on the weekend lol.
Still, this will have to do me, since it’s pretty unlikely that Character will ever re-release the super-rares.

September 5th, 2011 - 2:15pmif you search on the argos website ‘DOCTOR WHO MICRO FIGURES’ it comes up with a picture of series 2 of the cb figures if you click on to there then it actually gives you information of series 2 – i’ll found out if argos have any in stock soon because my aunt is passing and said that she would have a look for me.

Im not sure whats going on with Hologram silent cause that wasnt in much in the episode so we couldve done with madame vastra or nephew the ood! nephew would be a great character building figure.

September 4th, 2011 - 4:47pmBooboo, you wanted to know how I got on, so here it goes: The Walkthrough part was brilliant, would have liked it more if we could have taken pictures. Exhibition part, great models and I got plenty of pictures, also there was a new Ganger suit next to the Junk TARDIS. In the shop I managed to get the souviner guide, Amelia Pond Exclusive, Silent with open mouth and River Song (with horrible gloopy goo). I was going to get the Astronaut figure but they din’t have it. Overall it was a great day out, even for the Non-Doctor Who fans in my family.

September 4th, 2011 - 10:40pmMy cousoins took me for my birthday in June and it wasn’t good…it was FANTASTIC!!!!! I was so mesmerised by the TARDIS I forgot to pull the lever in time. If it wasn’t for the mesmerised but not too mesmirised little kids I could’ve landed us in hull(ah blink). I didn’t get amelia though as I she was a bit too expensive plus I had already brought the programme, 3 badges(1 for my older cousoin he also got a sonic screwdriver and hugged ponds cardboard cutout), dalek pencil, 4X mi cards and think that’s it but I kept the bag and receipts

I think CB must be very mistaken if it think’s people are going out to buy extra packets in the hope of getting a Super Rare – In fact it’s just the opposite: I just stop buying them!

When you factor in figures being lost or damaged the figure drops to below 100.

September 5th, 2011 - 9:51amRealistically, only a handful of people will ever get a complete set of super-rares. These will be people who are lucky enough to win an entire set (but since CO keep bringing out more, that is unlikely) or those that are willing to spend thousands of pounds to buy them all from auction sites.
The vast majority of people will have just the one figure that they were lucky enough to find. Many will get lost (in the mail, or by kids who don’t realise what they have) damaged or destroyed (fires, play, etc) or left boxed in warehouses somewhere.
