B&M / WhoNA to get Exclusive Classic Variant Set

Who NA have posted a picture of a new Classic 5.5″ variant B&M UK set which they have said will also be exclusive to them in the USA.

The set shows a new 3rd Doctor and Jo grant variant along with the already released Master (Roger Delgado)

As this set is destined for B&M the price is likely to be favourable and hopefully will be one of three as in previous years.

I hope we get a set with the Anthony Ainley version of the Master as I haven’t got that one.

Excellent! I don’t have any of these figures in any variation so these are three brand new figures for me!

This set up of Doctor, Master and companion could work very well.

Could possibly lead to that 3rd Missy variant that was mentioned…

    12th Dr variant
    Missy variant
    Clara variant

    10th Dr variant
    Martha variant
    Master re-release

    3rd Dr variant
    Jo variant
    Master re-release

Im excited for more news on this one. I wonder what other two figure packs they might release like they’ve done before, I’d take a guess at:

    • The 9th Doctor with a Slitheen and the Empty Child

    • The 2nd Doctor with a Cyberman and an Ice Warrior, or even just two different Cyberman Designs.

These are all figures that have been released already and if they existed I’d definitely buy them!

Hopefully we’ll see some more of these. Please let there be a 7th and 5th doctor one since I have hardly any figures from those Doctors! This is nice though since I’ve been trying to build my pertwee collection recently.

What is B&M….are they in the UK? Do they have a online shop?

Wonder why a new classic set is being sold by them and not FP?

B&M does have an online store but more stock is usually found in high street stores.
      http://Www.bmstores.co.uk I think ?
Also B&M is a bargains store so some stock is like American stock they can but in cheeply, this could be y FP doesn’t have this.

B&M have sold loads of doctor who sets before that are exclusive to B&M. B&M is a store that sells stuff for a very good bargain. Their are hundreds of stores in the UK

I have three Third Doctors already & a Jo & the Master from the Daemons, but I’m so very tempted … just hoping that eBay will have at least one seller who won’t charge three times the retail price.

Wow this is exciting news, here’s hoping it’s one of three exciting sets. Maybe to feature other doctors, villains and companions? Last year we had the 4th Dr, 10th and 11th, perhaps this year it’s 3rd 6th and 9th?

I should imagine neither. They will probably just turn up on ebay at £30 then people will go mad & rush to the nearest B&M.

to be honest i dont think B&M release how much effectively free advertising they get with news of these sets spreading across forums and sites like this

people would just not know about them otherwise

    • The Yeti Next Door

      March 30th, 2016 - 12:34am

i remember a few years back, before i knew about forums like this one, i randomly went to a B&M with no prior knowledge and found the damaged cyberman and cyberleader (from series 2) and second dalek’s collectors set and was over the moon. i sincerely hope this becomes the new home of classic figures, even if it is simple paint switches and tweaks its better than nothing, far from it in fact.

they usually do 3 sets they have in the last 2 years although this will be the first with real proper variants in them (you could count the angel as one i suppose)
