Still lot’s of stock of all the new range in the COLNE , Lancs store when I popped in yesterday.
And I was pleased to find hiding away at the back the last McGann and brighter blue Dalek reissue from March which I purchased along with a War Games TARDIS.

WhoNA has some sets in non-mint pacakging, including less than 10 each of both History Of The Daleks sets. I cancelled my orders with GOGS on Amazon.com because of how they kept changing the number in stock. Plus, the estimated delivery date for my sets I ordered from Amazon.com was sometime in September. WhoNA has already shipped my two History Of The Daleks sets.

They have, all in non-mint packaging, the 2nd Doctor and TARDIS, Friends And Foe Of The 13th Doctor, and History Of The Daleks Sets 1 and 2. So, this may help some US buyers out if you don’t mind the packaging not being in mint condition.

crazy situation where WHONA can get someone to presumably clear the shelves in a UK store, get it sent to the USA and then have sent out to customers whilst the “official store” is all over the place.

It doesn’t say where they ship from so I sent them an email. There’s a Toyloco in the UK but don’t know if it’s the same as Toyloko, since they used to be called something else…..Toys,Games And More….or something. And Toyloco started in 2018,it seems, and Toyloko under their first name since 2013. I’ll see if I get a reply from them. I always like to know where my stuff will be shipped from, lol!

To be honest i dont know what gives, they still haven’t corrected those mistakes and they have “coming soon” on stuff in stock and “order now” for OOS items with no date.

      August 17th, 2020 - 10:19pm

I’m not confident that a lot of these problems on Amazon are from Gogs1 themselves. We don’t even know if they ever had the items in stock themselves, or had Character drop ship the sets directly to Amazon’s various warehouses, which are all across the US. (Lots of sellers on Amazon do this.) If so, then the shipment came from Character, was shipped through one or more delivery methods to Amazon, then Amazon took control and decided which sets to send from which warehouse to whom. I have a hunch that Gogs1 (whoever they are) aren’t even actually based in the US.

That said, I’m satisfied. I ordered mine on August 2, with estimated delivery dates in mid-August, and the last set (UNIT) got a bit delayed and arrived today (from across the country), in just over 2 weeks. Tom’s companions arrived on the 9th, and the 13th set arrived on the 12th. And all at 2/3 of the cost that WhoNA, Toyloko and the ebay scalpers are charging. All three were shipped from completely different locations around the country.

Good luck to everyone else who hasn’t gotten theirs yet!

      August 18th, 2020 - 9:07am

I suppose we are not used to this in the UK with deliveries all being very good now, its just not good to have a website where most of the links are now “dont know if or when it might be back in stock” they just dont seem to be able to tie down any delivery dates.

I dont think they have had any significant quantities of these so far either.

      August 18th, 2020 - 4:39pm

WhoNA has always gone above and beyond for Who fans, as Who fans are behind it and running it. They have stepped up efforts to get the Character product not available Stateside. If only THEY could work out some sort of distribution deal with Character.

    • JRT!

      August 18th, 2020 - 6:39pm

But Toyloko had,at least, the 13th set at the same price as GOGS1,so shouldn’t cost 2/3 more to get. Or did they up the price in a couple of days? I haven’t checked lately.

    • David Minter

      August 20th, 2020 - 1:20am

Got my History Of The Daleks sets Monday. I don’t really see why they were listed as non-mint packaging. My packages looked just fine. Of course, that definition is variable, relative, and subjective.

I’ve been using WhoNA to get my Character Options Who stuff for the past 7 years. Used to use a site called JRSToyworld, but they closed down. JRS was good at getting the CO stuff, too. WhoNA are also really good at donating Who toys to Toys For Toys at Christmas time. You donate $5 to them and they give a CO Who toy valued at at least $9.99 to a needy kid.

    • David Minter

      August 21st, 2020 - 11:06pm

WhoNA has refreshed their stock of History Of The Daleks Sets 1 and 2. They’re still in non-mint packaging, though.

I hope the new distributor lets Whona etc in on the act in future.

      September 5th, 2020 - 11:23pm

For any US buyers who still need a way to get these, WhoNA has restocked some more History Of The Daleks sets #1 and #2. This time, however, they’re not listed as in non-mint packaging. So, I’m guessing their current stock is in mint packaging, now.

Went to my nearest B&M that says on the app that they have availability, couldn’t find them and I asked if they could check if they had them in stock and to only be told “just because it says we have availability on the app, it doesn’t mean we’ve actually got them”. : (

None of the other nearest stores in my area say they have any stock either.

    Hopefully soon!

Wellingborough Victoria Park B&M has a few sets this morning. 7 lots of 4th Doctor Companions (well, 6 lots now :D), plus 1 lot each of the two Dalek sets and 13th friends and foe. Also have loads of 7th, 8th and War Doctor with Dalek and half a dozen Pertwee and TARDIS left as well. (The two different lots of releases are in different parts of the toy aisle).

GOGS1 has made it impossible to leave feedback (which Amazon suggested I do and even emailed me the link), as though they have a board, there is no option to add feedback to it. Hopefully the negatives relayed to Amazon provide a roadmap for GOGS1 to continue in a better more customer service quality oriented way. If not, I for one who’d rather pay inflated prices to get these sets in proper condition. I honestly don’t think GOGS1 could have botched this all any worse than they have. Too good to be true, indeed.

Just a quick note for US buyers….I pre-ordered all items in the same night…shipping is wildly erratic with sets saying they shipped, then backtracking and saying there is a delay, and a lot of back and forth on when they are arriving.

Having said that…I’ve gotten 3 sets so far, and the Mint in Package collectors should be warned that all (including the 2nd Doctor and TARDIS set) were sent in padded envelopes and every single set has arrived with the box brutalized and damaged. If you haven’t gotten yours and can add instructions….request Amazon send them in a box!

You can contact Amazon with your order number, and request that the sets be shipped in protected sturdy boxes. They said they would make a note to the shipping/fulfillment centers mine would ship from and see to it that this was done. I’ll be finding out when my last two sets arrive on 8/18.

Canada buyer here. Mine arrived today. You were right they don’t pad anything but it arrived in good condition (no bent or smashed packaging, simply a little dent in the top corner of my Second Doctor/TARDIS set but I was going to open mine anyway) for which I am INCREDIBLY thankful for. So just a warning to others, yeah not sure how shipping is being done. They sent mine through a carrier called “Pitney Bowes” or something. Hope that helps.

    • Davidhhh

      August 17th, 2020 - 10:27pm

The shipping should be completely Amazon’s responsibility. That’s how “fulfilled by Amazon” works. The seller or the manufacturer ship them to Amazon, then Amazon stores them and takes care of the rest.

I wonder what their mixup was with saying they shipped, then changing it for you? My UNIT set ended up delayed slightly from their initial estimates and then later estimates, but only by a few days.

On a similar note, this week, I had a micro SD card sold my Amazon that they told me had shipped and was arriving the same day, only to have them suddenly announce a delay later in the day with a new arrival estimate three days later, and a suggestion to contact them if it didn’t arrive. Then it arrived the next day. I’ve had other items that were in stock ship from across the country nearly a week after I placed my order. I think Amazon is overwhelmed and understaffed right now.

Went in this morning and saw TONS of the Thirteenth Doctor sets on the shelf, about thirty of them, and one Companions of the Fourth Doctor set, which I grabbed.
