B&M 2025 Revenge of the Cybermen Set

A fresh new drop of Doctor Who sets at B&M

Character Options is excited to announce the details of the 2nd drop of Doctor Who Collector Sets for B&M Stores, for 2025. Available in September, these two exciting new sets will be the perfect addition to any fan’s collection.

For fans of one of the Doctor’s most feared enemies, the first set – Revenge of the Cybermen boast three impressive Cybermen figures whereas the second Dalek Battle Squad offers another old enemy in the form of an Imperial Dalek and Special Weapons Dalek from Remembrance of the Daleks. Each pack features a back of pack description, and details on the inspiration behind each, a summary of which is below.

Revenge of the Cyberman Collector Figure Set (08438)

This impressive re-release of a well-loved set includes updated and improved versions of the Cyber Leader and two Cybermen as well as a Cybermat accessory.

In the episode from Season 12 of the Classic Series – The Cybermen release a mysterious space plague aboard Space Beacon Nerva to kill the crew. After infecting Sarah, she is sent via transmat with Harry to the nearby planet Voga to purge the cyber poison from her body.

Another problem quickly materializes, as a battered troop of Cybermen arrive in an ancient Cyber Ship with plans to destroy Voga, ‘The Planet Of gold’ utterly, before restarting their Cyber War. Using humans, and The Doctor to carry bombs to the centre of Voga, they come perilously close to success before finally being obliterated on their escape, by the Vogans redirecting a rocket against their ship.

No doubt the South will get them last as per. If they follow the same pattern they used the last year or so.

On a separate note is anyone selling any Dr Who Figures from the list below in mint condition please?

Seeds of Doom, 3rd Doctor, 7th & 8th Doctor, 9th & 10th Doctor Toys’r’us Versions please? Willing to pay a good price for them.

Blackpool is variable, Vicarage Lane usually gets them, town sometimes does, sometimes doesn’t and the one classed as Bispham which isn’t is useless for figures.

  • Cyber Controller

    September 3rd, 2025 - 12:53pm

I have the original set, but hope to get the new set of Cybermen as well. It’s great it comes with a backdrop of Nova Beacon on the backing card. But, no doubt the plastic holding the figures will be stuck directly to the card. So will ultimately ruin the backdrop when taking the figures out.

I like this set, may not have gone searching for this one alone though. However, for the first time in a very long time I’m interested in both B&M releases and really want the SWD, so probably won’t resist getting this at the same time.

The gold touch-ups are absolutely bizarre. The whole story is about how gold is deadly to Cybermen. These would have sold like hotcakes anyway, it’s so unnecessary.

I watched the story on my iTunes account and didn’t see any of the gold patches on the costumes it’s very bizarre when the whole point of the story is them saying about how gold is allergic to them still it’s great to see them rereleased I’ll probably repaint the obnoxious gold bits back to silver 🙂

    • Martino

      September 10th, 2025 - 5:12pm

To be fair, it’s actual gold they don’t like, not the colour gold.

It’s like having some perverse joke having Cybermen with gold on them when this was the story where there weakness to gold was first a plot device.

Looking at set photos, while the top tubes don’t have any noticeable colour, the round section actually looks to be a brass color, which is pretty close to what we have here. I didn’t notice at all before myself, either.

I will be interested to see comparison photos of these new figures with the original figures that were released. Will it be enough to tempt me to buy the set again…..The chest plate has the most obvious at this point with a lighter grey middle section and the light bronze details at the top and bottom of this section.

I have two sets of the original releas – the Cybermen in the open set are somewhat flakey now, and the diorama backdrop was too flimsy for any practical display use. This set warms my cockles though, much sharper looking. And I was on a school trip to the Isle of Wight when the third episode aired and this stirs excellent memories of watching with 15-20 other kids!

“In this story from the final season of Classic Doctor Who” – continuing CO’s noble tradition of slight back-of-the-box cockups (not as bad as HotD#13 referring to “William Hurndall”, at least).

But the important thing is they look great. Our B&M still hasn’t received the HotD#21/TARDIS sets yet, so I’m not sure what my chances of finding these anywhere other than eBay are, but they’re definitely both must-haves.
