History of the Daleks #21 Collector Figure Set (08389)

This awesome collection figure set with a limited-edition seal on the packaging, includes 2 Executioner Daleks as seen in the 2022 episode, Eve of the Daleks.

Eve of the Daleks explores the struggle The Thirteenth Doctor, Yaz, Dan, Nick and Sarah are faced with when they are caught in a Time-Loop created by the TARDIS, and forced to face the Daleks over and over, as time runs out!

Set in Manchester and shot during the Covid pandemic, Eve of the Daleks was the final story of the year and saw the Daleks were refurbished yet again but this time they had something of an upgrade. Although they retained the claw arms of the previous story, the ‘Executioner Squad’ Daleks, were given Gatling gun style rapid fire exterminator arms. The livery of the props was also updated with a darker more chocolatey livery that really offset the light gold of the skirt hemispheres and slats in a stunning way.

    I have a question re. the Eaglemoss figures;

    I’ve found a Resurrection Dalek Eaglemoss figure for sale – the cardboard box isn’t the usual dark blue, and strangely cannot find a ID number for the model in Eaglemoss’ list on the TardisWiki site.

    Nearest I can find is the ‘Death Zone Dalek’, but not only does that Dalek look different, it has a normal dark blue coloured box.

    I’m just wondering if the Resurrection Dalek figure is some kind of special one-off, or is it otherwise a very new figure that hasn’t yet been given an entry number?

    Pretty sure the Daleks in the episode were the normal bronze ones in colour it was just the lighting of the storage facility that gave the impression of them being of a darker colour.

    The same goes for the ones in Revolution of the Daleks.

    Hi,

    They kept these ones quiet ave not been too well for the last week. But now that I know there’s more Dalek sets out I will check some of my local stores in my area tomorrow always like to do my bit and help my feather Whovians out to track them down. So as the 7th Doctor would say so what are we doing? Dalek Hunting. And but why is this set history of the Daleks #21? and not #20? as the last set was #19!.

    Again am not too bothered about the TARDIS but I will mention it if I see them. But just remember these are only if they have been spotted in any of the stores I can’t unfortunately give any photo evidence as my phone is as old as the hills but am.always true to my word if I have spotted anything.

      Thanks Snowman.

      I will keep an eye out for them. They really early this year I wasn’t expecting anything until at least September for the first wave than October or November for the next.

      But it’s 21 and the 15th Doctor’s TARDIS that’s out there somewhere now I gather so I will check some my local stores tomorrow.

    Got the daleks today. How does everyone feel about them?? I love the new attachments but the dark chocolate they have used looks awful imo. Not sure how accurate it is to on screen but I doubt they were this dark.

      I really like the colour. They may not be as screen accurate but we have had so many bronze daleks this is a nice change
