Big Finish The Audio Novels 4 The Dead Star
A Stellar Second Doctor Audiobook
Available to to order from www.bigfinish.com.
A lethal dead star looms in the epic fourth audiobook in the Doctor Who — The Audio Novels range, due for release in January 2023 from Big Finish Productions.
The new voice of the Second Doctor, Michael Troughton, narrates a brand-new adventure, which bridges the gap between the 1966 Doctor Who TV stories, The Power of the Daleks and The Highlanders.
In this six-hour enhanced audiobook, the second incarnation of the Time Lord and his trusty companions Polly and Ben face a solar system disaster. With specially composed music and entrancing sound effects, expect to be fully absorbed into the nail-biting tale.
Doctor Who — The Audio Novels: The Dead Star, written by Kate Orman, is now available to pre-order for just £17.99 (as a digital download), exclusively from www.bigfinish.com.
Producer David Richardson said: “It’s been some years since we’ve had the pleasure of Kate Orman’s name on a Doctor Who audio drama script. In fact, the last was a Short Trips box set in 2009. That was something I wanted to address in The Audio Novels series, and so here we have The Dead Star. Kate’s initial pitch was superb and the script is equally delightful. It’s great to have her back, and Michael Troughton has brought the words to life impeccably.”
Big Finish listeners can save money by pre-ordering all six titles in the Doctor Who — The Audio Novels range together as a bundle for just £99.
All the above prices include the special pre-order discount and are subject to change after general release.
Please note that Big Finish is currently operating a digital-first release schedule. The mailout of collector’s edition CDs will be delayed, but all purchases of this release unlock a digital copy that can be immediately downloaded or played on the Big Finish app from the release date.

May 10th, 2022 - 11:18amIt’s Big Finish, so unless one story directly leads into the next they see it as a space for new stories.
To be fair, the MAs and PDAs did the same.

Wow this looks superb. Brilliant cover . These have been quite fun, extended Target Novels . Scourge of the cybermen, had almost full cast feel to it. Watchers was a lot more cerebral , great, but not an action Horror like scourge.
