Wondering how this is going to work considering that the Doctor met Anya Kingdom AFTER he met Leela and K9…

I like the Daleks as much as the next guy, but I do wish Big Finish would retire the Daleks a bit. I feel like they’ve been very over used lately.

These days Big Finish are not about exciting stories. They’re about gimmicks.

The Daleks are like the Empire in Star Wars. They are the backbone of the over-arching narrative in good vs evil, especially since the Time War was written. Our heroes encounter many other villains along the way, but the Daleks are like the anchor. I don’t find legions of bronze Daleks thrilling when the ‘magic button’ is used to blow up a billion of their ships, but I do think Davros, and Dalek ‘characters’, make for fascinating stories. Hopefully Time Lord Victorious will give us some of this, it does appear to be the case. It’s the contradiction that Daleks are supposed to be all the same, but actually it’s most interesting when you have Davros, and Emporer, Time Controller etc, all in different casing and livery.
