Big Finish 8th Doctor 4.08 Prisoner of the Sun

cd-bf8thprisonersunBig Finish 8th Doctor 4.08 Prisoner of the Sun

Six years after being captured by the galaxy-spanning organisation known only as The Consensus, the Doctor lives inside a hi-tech complex at the heart of an unstable sun, condemned to an eternity maintaining its systems. A moment’s carelessness could cause the star to collapse – and the deaths of billions.

Watched over by liquid guards, the Mercurials, the Doctor’s only company at the heart of the sun is his assistant ‘Daphne’ – the latest in a line of android helpers. But rebel eyes have their eyes on the sun, and its lonely controller – and are prepared to risk even a galactic cataclysm to secure the Doctor’s release…

Paul McGann (The Doctor), Antony Costa (Hagan), Jeany Spark (Jelena), Richenda Carey (Gliss), Pandora Colin (Fash), Beth Chalmers (Shill/Computer)

Because he only did one story and wasn’t given a chance, most people agree he was a great Doctor and just wanted to see more of him, unfortunately the story he was given wasn’t great

Sword of Orion follows, then The Stones of Venice and then Minuet in Hell (my favourite 8th Doctor Adventure so far) feat. Nicholas Courtney 😀

Not including the Blood of the Daleks onwards, there is about 34 Big Finish dramas that precede the 4 seasons of 2006 to present – Paul McGann’s first audio drama is Storm Warning…

Video link, for youtube: LETS BRING BACK THE EIGHTH DOCTOR FOR ONE EPISODE! 0doctor0who0

The reign of Steven Moffat “Doctor Who” to see a multi-Doctor story (Eccleston and Tennant?) aswell as McGann. Personally, I actually would find that outrageous, the Paul McGann Doctors first onscreen role since the American-Hollywood production value- TV -Movie (in which he no doubt won the hearts of viewers and fnatics alike, but was never seen again) BEING SIDE-LINED BY Eccleston and Tennants roles. An official regeneration, or atleast a glimpse.
