Big Finish 164 Doctor Who Gods and Monsters
Big Finish 164 Gods and Monsters
A new adventure in time and space for the Seventh Doctor and his companions Ace and Hex.
The TARDIS travellers arrive in a bizarre landscape seemingly immune to the physical laws governing the rest of the universe. Ace, Hex and their motley army of allies battle to rescue the Doctor from the trap he’s walked into… soon realising that the odds are stacked against them.
But the gods and monsters who inhabit this strange realm loaded the dice against them long ago, in the dim and distant past – and defeat’s their only option.
CAST
Sylvester McCoy (The Doctor), Sophie Aldred (Ace), Philip Olivier (Hex), John Standing (Ancient God), Gus Brown (Weyland), Blake Ritson (Hurmzid), Elizabeth Bennett (Peggy)

August 31st, 2012 - 3:54pmWhat people need to understand is, that, not every TV story takes place immediatly after the previous. E.G, The Doctor’s Wife in Series 6 doesn’t need to take place after the Curse of the Black Spot for the Doctor and his friends, that’s the wonder of Doctor Who.

August 6th, 2012 - 5:44pmSurely they cannot do much more with the audios, I mean they have filled nearly every empty space in doctor who history and they have put stories in between other stories

August 8th, 2012 - 12:06pmThey can and they will. The Eighth Doctor’s Era can still continue, as he only appeared in the TV Movie. All the Seventh Doctor ones are set after Survival, and as you can see there is a big difference between how The Doctor appears in that and the TV Movie. Six is also alright because we know there is a gap between The Ultimate Foe and Time and The Rani which BF can continue to do. Also they have only done a few audios with Tom, so they haven’t completely emptied what they can do with his era. The only Doctor that maybe they can’t do as much

August 8th, 2012 - 12:08pmwith is Peter Davison, continuity wise atleast. However, he could start appearing more in the Companion Chronicles range, which would be interesting. Though saying that continuity is rubbish, as Stephen Moffat has proved time and time again. The main thing to do with Doctor Who is tell a good story and not rack your brains trying to think whether it is cannon or not.

August 31st, 2012 - 3:58pmThey can do a lot more stories, Eight Doctors, they could have stories taking place during the TThird Doctor’s exile, The Fourth Doctor’s time in E-Space, The Doctor’s solo travels with Turlough after Ressurection of the Daleks, and many many other ideas. Maybe one day, if they get the license to make stories about the new series Doctor’s, they would have millions of ideas, the Tenth Doctor’s travels with Rose and Mickey set during series 2.

August 6th, 2012 - 5:32pmAnother BF story for me to get sounds good but Im only up to 105 + about 6 higher numbers in the main titles, so it will take a while for me to listen to, Im also strated collecting the new Tom Baker stories got 1.1-1.5 and 1.6 is on the way so series 1 of this set will be complete, love the BF stories its like having an extra episode of Doctor adventure to enjoy (well I suppose it is an extra episode) great stuff.
McGann is The Doctor
August 4th, 2012 - 3:46pmThis looks great.
