Official sneak peak images from www.bigchiefstudios.co.uk
With thanks to Skaro from Life Doctor Who and Combom we can bring you some of the first pictures. We think both figures look amazing. You can see further images on Flickr Here.
More images from Big Chief Studios should be released soon on their Facebook Page
Please remember these images are of a prototype and taken through glass under artificial light so the colours may not be accurate
BOB
November 21st, 2011 - 10:04pmwhy they look like dolls and £140 the only good thing is the extras and you can make them for about £30 so total waste of money put it down to £50 – £70 and it will be better .
booboo
November 21st, 2011 - 10:08pmi wouldn’t be possible to make it for that
Anonymous
November 22nd, 2011 - 7:23pmThey are making very little profit with the current price tag so it is actually the best they could do without losing money.

November 21st, 2011 - 4:14pmI have to agree that the Amy figure really isn’t working at the moment (and as a prototype – constructive comments are required in part to get it right).
Let’s face it – she needs to be a sexy as the lady herself and the expression, baggy clothes et al don’t really seem to work.
If you are going buy both, they need to look like a set and be of equal quality…not quite there yet.
Tighten up those clothes!
Anonymous
November 22nd, 2011 - 5:52pmThis is just a prototype, some other people asked about it and apparently the real body hasn’t been finished yet so they’ve just used a generic body with the real head in it’s place.
The clothes won’t need tightened they just need to make the body a bit bigger (and as Karen GIllan is 5′ 11” chances are they will need to make a bigger one).
I have a TARDIS now, TARDISes are cool!
November 21st, 2011 - 2:01pmI hope they bring out like clothes sets so you could have a clothes set for the Doctor with a Fez,Stetson,Green Coat,Blueshirt,Blue bow tie!
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
November 21st, 2011 - 1:00pmi have had a look on the net, and there are some better pictures, it does look like her! (but the hair is still mad!) may save up to get the doctor, but maybe not amy, i will enter a few competitions to win her, but well. does she come withthe jacket??
TheDoctorOfWho
November 21st, 2011 - 12:57pmBobo, are the close actually removable? Like, if they release new costumes you could change them? eg.Police Amy, Pirate Pond etc.
booboo
November 21st, 2011 - 12:58pmyes they are and i’m sure there will be alternative sets to buy
Anonymous
November 23rd, 2011 - 12:21amThey are considering costume and accessory packs for characters after they are released but they have none planned at the moment and the plans seem to be quite long term.

November 21st, 2011 - 12:10pmoh my god i am so getting the amy doll she looks really cool actually.
when is it out and where because i am going to start saving now?
p.s. what is it limited to?
Nathan
November 21st, 2011 - 11:18pmIt says “second quater” meaning between April and June. And as for limited numbers, I assume that it will be the same as the Doctor.

November 21st, 2011 - 10:49amNice! Looking forward to seeing the actual Amy figure, as opposed to the prototype. 😀
McGann is the Doctor.
November 21st, 2011 - 10:28amThe one of the Doctor is AMAZING ! The Amy one is also good, but WOW I am so amazed by the Doctor one, his jacket looks great,
it’s got three buttons on the jacket, very accurate, and the swappable hadns feautre is a great idea. 😉

November 25th, 2011 - 9:17pmisn’t it? The details on the costume and the figure are absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to get that Doctor into my living room
Mumble5557
November 21st, 2011 - 8:57amI personally think I’d have to save up for both of these or wait till they go onto sale.
Mumble5557
November 21st, 2011 - 8:58amBut the Amy one does look good (remember the photo was taken through glass)
Nathan
November 21st, 2011 - 11:21pmThey’re both extremely limited edition, and so may not go on sale. In fact, if you wait, they’ll probably cost more 🙁
THE PONDS
November 21st, 2011 - 8:56amIve got to say i dont personally like the amy one

Kerr Avon
November 21st, 2011 - 5:53amAmy looks absolutely terrible in my opinion. Blank ‘zombie stare’ face with mediocre likeness and absolutely zero personality or character or life showing through, awful doll hair, poor choice of body type (arms too long, hips/body too wide etc), and that skirt, if it isn’t just a temporary piece, is truly awful. This is a 150 pound figure we’re talking about here, but this piece isn’t worth half that price. Looks more like an unofficial mid range custom rather than a professional piece. I mean just compare the Amy figure to the promo photo of Amy, it really is a poor effort. Hugely disappointing.
The Matt Smith Doctor on the other hand is the exact opposite, and looks fantastic in pretty much every regard, and totally worth the high price. Glad I ordered that one.
I just wish that Amy Pond had been done to the same high standard, because as it is, there is no way I’m buying that. The 11th Doctor looks like it can stand proudly alongside the very best 1/6 scale licenced pieces on the market today, it is that good. The Amy Pond isn’t even in the same ballgame. I’d love to buy each companion as wel as each Doctor, but they’ll have to do a far better job than they have on Amy Pond to get my money. Shame.
Camper Van
November 21st, 2011 - 8:40amIt’s a prototype, so it is very likely to change. It’s something to show people
The fez
November 21st, 2011 - 11:50amNot very fair comments as it clearly states this is an in development prototype. this was put together for a sneak peak at the show. personally i think it look amazing
Anonymous
November 23rd, 2011 - 12:19amThey haven’t actually made the body for it yet, they said that at the event. They’ve just got a temporary body for the moment until the real one is made.
You can’t critisise it for something which they have already said won’t be there on the finished version.

Anonymous
November 23rd, 2011 - 12:17amThe dates might vary though so keep an eye out for them. The Amy figure is quite literally a work in process (the parts for it are being made as we speak) so it may come out ahead of schedule or later than planned.

November 20th, 2011 - 11:11pmLove these and i really cant wait to see what they do with the 4th Doctor
Anonymous
November 20th, 2011 - 10:53pmHad a look at the full list of accessories, looks interesting, although I’m curious as to why they didn’t put the jacket on the figure (as it is on the contents list).
Skaro
November 20th, 2011 - 11:04pmThis is the prototype, the boots and shirt was only completed on Friday, the jacket is in production.
booboo
November 20th, 2011 - 11:06pmI really am impressed with these, not just the figures but the accessories as well
Rooners
November 21st, 2011 - 4:19amMe too…but then, for £150 I would expect to be impressed 🙂
These are way out of my price range…I think I’ll stick to the slighty less acurate £10 5 inch figures…but if anyone bought these for me, I’d be a VERY happy chap 🙂

November 20th, 2011 - 10:50pmOh, and If you cant notice, Amys phone has the photo of a Silence on it, they hope to make it be able to slide up, but are currently unsure on cost.
Skaro
November 20th, 2011 - 10:49pmJust so that people can note:
The Matt Smith signature is unnumbered as it was the original one Matt signed and used in the photo where he held the figure, I was told the rest will NOT have a kiss, and this is the only one.
