Its as if the BBC want to kill Doctor Who again.
I bought most (80%) of my Doctor Who goods from the BBC store. T shirts – Games – Toys etc. What the hell are they doing

They are not realising that they cut of a lot of their market in classic who dvd’s. I mean where the hell am I going to get Classic Who dvds now. New onces go for much more of Ebay now and there is not a place in Holland where you can get them

there will come a time for all DVD’s where the demand is not enough to warrant another run

Many of these DVD’s have been around for years and had to be sold really cheaply as demand waned.

Ordered a couple of t-shirts last week on the last day. One arrived Saturday, and then got a cancellation email today, telling me that my order total had been refunded. Result being a free t-shirt. Nice!

I ordered 13 t-shirts and they arrived but the Missy one they send a ladies instead of men’s and the dr who experience one is all sticky on the inside where the transfer has been incorrectly applied.

I shouldn’t moan as they were all £1.99 it’s just annoying because I really liked the experience one. 🙁

I just phoned the customer services and they refunded me £3.98. 🙂

Anyone want a Missy ladies t-shirt size large?

I agree too. It was a very interesting shop with some good bargains. I am missing it already. Not everyone wants to go digital, I certainly don’t.

i think a lot of people are misreading what is actually happening

BBC Worldwide will still be selling hard copies of series only via Amazon etc

Some of the old classic titles have been available for so long now that there is not enough demand to warrant any more runs.

this doesn’t effect merchandise in general and there is noting stopping anyone else taking on exclusives and more obscure item like the exams decs.

You get better quality video on DVD/Blu Ray than digital with no compression and you get loads of special features with a nice case to look at to show that you own it.

My last order from the BBC Shop arrived today containing a Sherlock Complete Series 3 Special Edition DVD for £1.99 and a Doctor Who Interactive Cyberman Attack Figure for £6.99. The Sherlock DVD came in a shiny cardboard sleeve which is nice. And the Cyberman Attack Figure is fantastic! I was interested in it before but so happy I waited for this sale as it’s such a fun toy!

Does anybody know any number I can phone to contact somebody at the BBC Shop now with the website closed? Basically, my bulk order arrived today, however, one poster was not featured, I assume because it will be in a seperate tube to the rest of my orders for packaging reasons. Is there anyway I can contact anyone to try and get it to me? Not sure if it left the warehouse or if it’s just ParcelForce not handing it to me when they gave me my main order? I tried contacting their enquiries line but I’m just sent through hundreds of automated speakers. Any ideas anyone?

So sad about this. It does seem a bit short-sighted of the BBC to do this. As they are meant to make as much money from their products as possible.

I cannot help but wonder if this is to do with budget cuts and government interference.

Either way though it’s a sad day for BBC lovers and Doctor Who and Sherlock lovers

I am quite annoyed with the BBC Shop as i ordered; 2 dvds + the deep breath poster A1. Half an hour ago a parcel arrived from the BBC. And i was extremely happy , so i opened it and inside was both of the dvdd, with a receipt, saying that i had bought the dvds and the poster. Althought the poster was not included in the package! I do not know if they are sending it separately or not although in the email , they said your order has been dispatched! Along with the three images in one column! Has this happened to anyone else? I will probably wait a few days and then send an email to them!

The poster, being A1 size, will definitely come in a different box. For example – I once ordered three Funko POPs and the Seventh Doctor Umbrella – they were dispatched at the same time, but the three POPs came in one box, and the umbrella came in a large cylindrical box – which I assume your poster will turn up in, seeing as it is most likely rolled up.

Give it a while, if the other one doesn’t turn up… you’ll have to find a way of contacting them!

Right: Question time? We now have a standard closure page left for the BBC Shop. What do we now do if we are waiting for Orders, Refunds or whatever? We can’t access previous accounts or anything, so who do we contact to sort anything out?
