The newly regenerated Fifth Doctor escapes with his companions back to the TARDIS. Suffering from post-regeneration trauma, he only narrowly manages to save the ship from destruction as it plunges back to Event One, the hydrogen in-rush that preceded the creation of the universe.
He then seeks sanctuary in the peaceful domain of Castrovalva, only to discover that it is an illusory, dimensionally paradoxical trap set for him by the Master with the unwilling aid of a kidnapped Adric.
The Doctor eventually wins the day by enlisting the help of the Castrovalvan people who, although also part of the Master’s creation, are nevertheless able to exercise free will.
The Master’s TARDIS
Whilst on the planet Traken the Fourth Doctor discovers that the Master, his long time nemesis, is trying to take control of a complex Traken bio-electronic power known as ‘The Source’. The Source would allow the Master unparalleled power, and the ability to regenerate his dying body. When the Master’s TARDIS is destroyed by the power feedback of The Source it is revealed he has another and thus he escapes to encounter the Doctor again. Their next encounter finds the Master’s TARDIS, with its fully functional Chameleon Circuit, disguised first as a Police Box and latterly on the planet Logopolis, as a sandstone Doric column. The Master’s TARDIS stayed in this favoured form during several encounters with the Fifth Doctor, before changing once again.
The Masters Tardis Collection grows… Only a horse-box, fireplace, Concorde, iron maiden and several others to go!

July 21st, 2015 - 12:17amSo three years after release two of these have turned up in my local forbidden planet for £19.99 each, with one having the figures packaged in backwards for some reason. Question is, is that a good deal and do I get it?

October 7th, 2012 - 8:14amI want the Master in his traditional outfit but CO say they won’t make it as it would cost too much and the fact it would only be one release.
From Kings Demons the Masters collar was silver, gold in previous stories. So they could get at least two releases. Even make a rotocast Iron Maiden Tardis.

I also have the 4th doctor from season 18 so I would have 3 doctors in maroon if I bought this. I am planning on getting enemies of the 1st dr for my birthday and my stolen eath set is on its way!

September 20th, 2012 - 9:47pmBefore you all jump down my throat, I have nearly all the original series releases models on shelves at home and I LOVE them. Brilliantly moulded, great sets. However… This is just getting lazy and cheap. How many more daleks for instance can they possibly con us out of spending our money!! Try doing something new! Even when the pyramids of mars set comes out its TWO mummies repainted. And just wait until they release the same old pyramids fourth doctor in a set with Sutekh with his mask on…cos you all know they’ll do it. Come on guys!

September 18th, 2012 - 3:39amI don’t think theres an FP in Texas :/ but if there’s a problem, knowing how FP is nice i’m pretty sure that if there is a problem with the quality they’ll handle it, plus the 4th is my fav doctor I haven’t seen all of the era but its fantastic!

September 18th, 2012 - 12:00pmMy favourites of his era are Creature from the Pit/Destiny of the Daleks, Androids of Tara, The Ark in Space, Genesis of the Daleks, Nightmare of Eden, Masque of Mandragora Seeds of Doom and the Ribos Operation was pretty good.
Also, I love ALL of his 80s stories except for Keeper of Traken. 😛

Also, I think they were going to release the Master from Planet of Fire in this set, so the Doctor was probably a last-minute replacement.

I totally would have bought this if they had changed the fourth Doctor’s sculpt, or if they’d done the Fifth Doctor in his cricket jumper from the scene where he gets changed. ❗
