Big Finish Torchwood 54 Curios
There’s something Curios in Torchwood
There’s another stitch in time – it’s a Bilis Manger in a coal mine in September’s monthly Torchwood adventure.
Featuring the return of Murray Melvin (A Taste of Honey, Jonathan Creek) as Bilis Manger, Curios finds this Torchwood antagonist in the middle of World War Two, deep in a disused coal mine surrounded by countless treasured artworks – and a few secrets…
The cast is completed by Rosie Baker (The Lone Centurion) as WWII Wren Jill Anderson, Matthew Gravelle (Broadchurch, Exile) as Sergeant Wilf Church and Laurie Kynaston (How to Build a Girl, The Feed) as Private Brent Hall.
Torchwood: Curios is now available to pre-order as a collector’s edition CD at £10.99 or on download at £8.99, exclusively at www.bigfinish.com.
During World War Two, the Torchwood Archive has been stowed away in a Welsh coal mine along with countless other art treasures. Bilis Manger is among them. And there’s something hunting him in the dark.
Jill has been sent to catalogue the collection. She’s on her own, she’s in disgrace and there’s something hunting her on the slopes of the mountain.
Director and script editor Scott Handcock said: “Bilis is back! Ever since his first appearance in Aliens Among Us, we realised what fantastic scope there was with Bilis Manger. Not quite a villain, definitely not a hero, he’s such an enjoyable character to write a story around – always brought to life so precisely by the legend that is Murray Melvin.
“His presence brings a splendid sense of unease and it’s great to see how characters respond to him, especially this time round – when haunted WREN Jill Anderson discovers him down a disused coal mine in the middle of World War Two. But why?”
Torchwood: Curios is now available to pre-order as a collector’s edition CD at £10.99 or on download from the Big Finish website at £8.99.
Please note that Torchwood contains adult material and may not be suitable for younger listeners.
Listeners of the Big Finish Torchwood range can save money by pre-ordering a bundle of stories. A six-release bundle is £60 on CD or £50 on download – or save even more money by ordering all twelve of the latest Torchwood releases together at £110 on CD or £94 on download.
Big Finish is currently operating a digital-first release schedule.
