Dr Who Figurine Collection #172 Nimon
The bull-like creatures, Nimons are not as godly as they present themselves. Doctor Who Figurines Collection part 172 features one of the terrifying Nimons!
The Nimon is a parasitic alien who feeds on the energy of civilizations. Once the population of the world is drained to extinction, they move to the next planet. In “The Horns of the Nimon” the Fourth Doctor and Romana collided with a ship that was on its way to Nimons’ next victim-planet, Skonnoth, and now they need to uncover the truth about the labyrinth to save the world.
The Nimon Figurine features the creature as seen in the episode “The Horns of the Nimon” (1979). The figurine captures the black-skinned humanoid with a big bull-head crowned with two long yellow horns and red eyes. It was meticulously hand-painted to bring-to-life the greek statue look of the alien.

April 8th, 2020 - 3:32pmActually she does have one in city but she is just using Tom’s prop whereas in horns it’s a specifically built one for lalla. Which is probably why horns is the story her screwdriver is noted in.

April 7th, 2020 - 2:39pmLove my Nimon. Shame they weren’t braver in The God Complex and call the Minotaur a Nimon. Mistake in the magazine , I think… Romana’s sonic first appears in City of Death but isn’t referred to until Horns…

April 7th, 2020 - 3:43pmNo she doesn’t have a sonic of her own in city of death. Horns of nimon is the first time we see her have one.

April 7th, 2020 - 1:33pmI do love this series!
The Nimon arrived this morning and it is a joyous thing in these strange and difficult times. One of my favourite figurines and a really good issue of the magazine too that takes a much more balanced view of the story than is usual. Shame Joy Hudson’s wonderful design sketch of a much hairier Nimon wasn’t able to be included as it shows an interesting concept of what might have been but that’s a tiny detail.
Thanks to all for keeping this series going strong.
Now is there any chance at all of a Krarg to add to the Season 17 menagerie..?

April 11th, 2020 - 1:36amI think so now it’s been completed. They could use the curator figure as a basis for Tom’s appearance at the end in costume!
