The Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver

The Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver

The Doctor’s multipurpose tool is a Gallifreyan device, with numerous settings, easily controlled at the press of his thumb. The Doctor has had many sonic screwdrivers of different designs throughout his life, and this latest one was created from within the TARDIS console itself after the previous one was destroyed during a confrontation with Prisoner Zero in the village of Leadworth. This new sonic is larger, with a luminous green light but continues to be an essential part of the Doctor’s equipment as he explores the universe. This faithful copy of the Doctor’s trusty Sonic Device has spring loaded extending action. Pressing the button on the side of the handle activates the LED and Sound FX which operates in CLOSED mode. Flip open the cap at the end of the Screwdriver to reveal an additional button that activates the light and sound effects when it is in full extension OPEN mode.

you could try cleaning the contacts as old batteries some times leak or leave a film, clean both ends with a screwdriver tip or something and both sides of the new batteries as well

I have the new 11th doctors sonic screwdriver (the one with the finger activated light instead of the button). Just recently, I opened the top, and now I can’t get it to close. It gets within half an inch, but then just stops. Please help.

I got one of these today from a car boot for £1, great condition, still working perfectly in every way but the end cap which covers the red button is missing.

I know this is weird, but does anyone know where I can find one of these? I’m thinking of making a Shark-bitten version. I lost my original one 🙁

I’d say Amazon but I’d recommend the 12th doctor touch control variation as you can work it when extended by the handle and is the same design

How do I muffle the sound without hindering the functionality?
It’s way too loud for my parents to handle, but I want to use it!

Don’t worry, the sound-chip breaks easily anyway!
