Robert Harrop Morbius From The Brain of Morbius
Available to order while stocks last from www.robertharrop.com
We at Robert Harrop Designs have been creating collectable hand painted figurines for over 30 years and have gained a well earned reputation of high quality and accuracy of detail. Our extensive portfolio includes Thunderbirds, Camberwick Green, Beano Dandy and 2000AD to name but a few. A portfolio that is extremely nostalgic and very British, so it was no surprise that Doctor Who would be the next project that we wanted to embrace into our studios! In partnership with the BBC, we have meticulously hand sculpted a range of 1:12 scale, hand cast and hand painted Doctor Who figurines, each made to strict Worldwide Limited Editions.
As a mark of provenance, each Limited Edition figurine will be numbered with a unique Edition Number and will come packaged in a presentation box with an Information Card and Certificate of Authenticity! –

August 19th, 2020 - 9:25pmAlways disliked this design.
I know it’s not Robert Harrops fault, the sculptor just copys what’s in front of them, and to that extent they’ve done a great job.
I mean whoever designed this originally.
What were they thinking!
Day Dalek Gold
February 17th, 2021 - 7:11pmWell, I think it was meant to be like that in a way to show how Morbius as become nothing but a hideous monster, he even realised it for himself!
Coleman.
July 20th, 2021 - 8:24pmIt’s ok Day Dalek Gold, I realise everyone has different tastes and alot of people love the Morbius Monster. I’m glad Harrops made him for the collectors that like him it’s just not for me though. Sorry for the late reply, only just noticed you had responded.

August 21st, 2019 - 10:22amIt finally arrived. With some trepidation I carefully opened the box and removed the packaging – a very well packaged item. The creature is in one piece and looks amazing. Its only my second Harrop purchase but I’m looking forward to many more.

July 27th, 2019 - 10:29amAbsolutely gutted. Recieved item this morning only to find one of the appendages on the casing had broken off in transit. Just what i was dreading. just great.

July 27th, 2019 - 11:09amOh no. Mine hasn’t arrived but now I’m worried. Not looking forward to the unboxing.

July 27th, 2019 - 11:44amMy worst fear realised. The busted box and rattling inside didn,t fill me with confidence.Just had to leave a message and an email I didn,t want a refund just a replacement but since these have sold out, i just hope they have a couple on standby for this occurrance but hopes aren,t high. The casing for something so fragile should have been better protected.

July 27th, 2019 - 7:31pmI have been told by Harrops before, that if a figurine arrives damaged they ask you to send it back for them to destroy and they make another one to keep the limited edition numbers consistent. They will not just send another one out willy nilly like Eaglemoss do.

July 27th, 2019 - 9:28pmWell this has not happened before Bicky, i wasn,t aware of that. I would rather have the replacement rather than the refund. I won,t know now what to do till they get back to me but its annoying when this happens. Hope everybody else gets theres in one piece, not two.

July 30th, 2019 - 2:25pmI’m sure Harrop’s have a backup plan for fragile items.
I bought one of the UFO’s they produced and the clear dome on top of the UFO had a problem. Got it replaced without any great drama. just had to wait a little while longer to enjoy the piece.
Was the figure wrapped in bubble wrap or have they gone back to the form fitting polystyrene?
Bicky
August 1st, 2019 - 12:37pmMorbius came wrapped in bubble-wrap. Mine was securely wrapped so arrived ok. They don’t use polystyrene any more due to environmental reasons, i believe. I don’t think it was any safer than bubble-wrap anyway.

July 25th, 2019 - 8:56amHas anyone had their’s yet? I know they are pre-orders but this seems to be taking longer than the other recent releases?
booboo
July 25th, 2019 - 9:03amthey said they would start sending them out this week

July 27th, 2019 - 7:36pmReceived mine yesterday – a beautiful thing with outstanding detail.

August 1st, 2019 - 1:50pmStill waiting on mine. Not getting impatient yet. Small company with a limited number of people able to carefully pack and send out only so many of the figures each day. In any case I think my order will be somewhere towards the end of the list of orders placed. It sold out pretty quickly.

July 2nd, 2019 - 9:17amI need this!

July 2nd, 2019 - 9:21amDid you pre order?

July 1st, 2019 - 1:27pmThey need to make it one per customer I’ve got a feeling that some people are buying more than one and then selling on a e**y for in some cases double the price
booboo
July 1st, 2019 - 1:29pmnoticed that but there are some who would not want one themselves and buy to put on ebay anyway or get a friend to buy, you cant stop it for those determined enough sadly
Bicky
August 4th, 2019 - 10:23amOne sold on ebay yesterday for £249!

August 4th, 2019 - 11:09pmThat’s crazy £249

July 1st, 2019 - 11:01amI placed my order on Friday – before 9am – really glad I did.
So did this sell out on Friday or did any stock make it through the weekend at all?
All the most recent releases have sold out increasingly quickly. Ridiculously so. I think 250 edition size might give some collectors more of a chance of getting one of these figures. Especially since the Cybermen are next to be released.
On second thoughts perhaps 300 or 350 might be a better edition size for them, otherwise there’s going to be a lot of disappointed people when the next release sells out. Probably within a few hours of being listed. Listed at midnight? sold out by sunrise?
booboo
July 1st, 2019 - 11:10amsold out 12.00 i think
i said a while ago i think they should go to 250, anymore and i think things would slow up leading to longer time between leases.
Its a fine balance
Cheaper figurines with 500 are still available after 2 years
Anonymous
July 1st, 2019 - 11:25amI mostly agree booboo. 250 as a standard edition size but maybe 300 or so for the ones likely to prove to be more popular. If the grey coloured clay version of the Cyberman already looks that good in the latest update photo then you’ll have people crashing the Harrop website when the figures are finally released. Of course I could be wrong and there’s no-one really interested in getting a classic Cyberman figure.
booboo
July 1st, 2019 - 11:30ami think it will go just a quick, especially as its part of a “set”

July 1st, 2019 - 1:58pmCouldn’t help noticing this in the Omega thread

they have probably set the numbers a bit to low now, but its a fine line getting it right, Morbius may go the same day as will probably the cybermen stuff mentioned if the issue numbers stay the same.

July 1st, 2019 - 7:21amOrdered. Cyber man will be end of July release I suppose ?

June 28th, 2019 - 3:23pmDear Robert Harrop – your Morbius figurine is absolutely brilliant! Can we have Stygron (Android Invasion) please?

June 28th, 2019 - 3:09pmWow. That sold out ridiculously fast. Glad I ordered mine last night.
Bicky
June 28th, 2019 - 3:15pmSo did i. About 11pm. It may be the best way to order going forward. I wonder if Harrops will start to increase the release size.

July 1st, 2019 - 11:07amHang on, ordered last night? When did it go online? Thought this was due out at the end of the month. Last time I checked June had 30 days in it. I checked on Friday and got my order in as soon as I saw it listed, about 8 in the morning, because the Omega figure was also launched on a Friday. There’s going to be a lot of unhappy people who are checking today – or even yesterday – only to find it sold out.
booboo
July 1st, 2019 - 11:14amit went on about 11.00pm on Thursday night and was gone by 12ish Friday
Last time it was just after midnight on a Friday
They won’t list at weekends as no one there to deal with potential problems i suspect.
Anonymous
July 1st, 2019 - 11:31amSo I was risking not getting it ordered by waiting 9 hours before putting in an order? Gulp!
Was it the same with the Omega figure and the last few releases as well? Listed at 11 the previous evening? If the same timing happens with the Cybermen and the edition size remains the same then they’ll probably be gone by the time people wake up on the Friday morning.

July 1st, 2019 - 11:37amOmega was about 3 days, mutant about 1-2 weeks
popularity does come into it but also now the “fear factor” of missing out.

June 28th, 2019 - 11:51amOrdered wonder how long we will have to wait for delivery
Who Knows
June 28th, 2019 - 1:40pmWill be within 8 weeks – the video Harrop’s uploaded to their channel, showcasing the figurine did suggest that the majority of the production line were almost completed.
Apparently this product has been selling very well according to a Harrop’s employee, I wouldn’t hang about if anyone is intending on purchasing him.

June 28th, 2019 - 2:45pmThank you who knows

June 28th, 2019 - 2:56pmSold out now

June 28th, 2019 - 9:56amNicely detailed item but more expensive than the last one. Omega sold out in four days, wonder if the higher price will slow down the sales of this one.
booboo
June 28th, 2019 - 10:08ami think it may sell quicker if i’m honest, there is a lot of extra work gone into this
Skonnos
June 28th, 2019 - 9:30amI noticed the Limited Edition number has risen from 150 to 200 pieces but also so has the price! From an average price of £65 now to £90! I realise a discount can be had via Friends Of Robert Harrop but still!
booboo
June 28th, 2019 - 9:37amall have been 200 for some time now, only the more “obscure” figures and variants have been 100-150 such as the cybershade (which is very small).
They actually started at 500 units, the extra cost involved in this one is because of the pewter and plastic fittings needed
Mark Briers
June 28th, 2019 - 12:45pmI think the price increase for this one will also be because it’s a taller figure than the others

June 28th, 2019 - 9:18amOrdered!

June 28th, 2019 - 7:56amLovely figurine, can’t wait to see it in hand, just a great character choice & a cool story line too.
