Doctor Who Magazine Special #46 Toys and Games
The latest special edition of Doctor Who Magazine is devoted to the many Doctor Who toys, games and other collectables that have been issued since the early 1960s.
One hundred pages of all-new content includes comprehensive guides to the toys produced in each decade, a look at some prototype designs that never reached the shops, the story of the rarest Doctor Who toy of all and a ringside seat at a Doctor Who board game marathon.
Other highlights include the story of Denys Fisher’s 1970s range of Doctor Who toys and exclusive interviews with the people behind the Dapol and Character ranges of action figures.

March 25th, 2017 - 5:42pmHappy days but Crappy figures. Dapol did bring out the odd decent figure. The 7th Dr and the ‘Tomb’ Cyberman were pretty good. However, the 3rd Dr was a travesty, and the 4th Dr (minus trademark scarf) was poor.

March 25th, 2017 - 8:12pmYeah the Third doctor was pretty bad! But i was a kid so i really wasn’t bothered! My favorites was 7th doctor with brown jacket. It was a thing of a beauty but nothing like the kind of products available now.

March 25th, 2017 - 2:13amI know they never have bagged specials, but this one ought to have been bagged with an actual toy on a blister card, or a poster showing every Dapol, PE, CO, or any other DW toy manufacturer’s, line of products. That would have been perfection.
Even a cheap Rolykin-size candy-toy/surprise egg Dalek would have been killer with this.
Come to think of it…the Music issue should have come with a CD…or even better…a flexi.

March 26th, 2017 - 2:36pmI only agree with the music one, they could have potentially done a “free CD” and put a selection of songs (only 2 or 3) but at the end of the day these need to be affordable to the average buyer

Maybe re-publish past FAN magazines instead, or each one could be a collection of reader-submitted short stories?

The ones covering Special Effect, The Art of Doctor Who and The Music of Doctor Who have been massively enjoyable and informative. I’m greatly looking forward to the new one on Toys and Games. It should be great fun.
