Space is a huge issue with me, so if the sculpts improve further and they Star Wars-up the packaging, then I’d be happy to buy any and all classic Doctor Who figures in this smaller scale. Either Star Wars sized backing cards or something akin to the tall and slender cards used for Macfarlene’s Walking Dead ranger would be preferred. And instead of the crappy generic logo and image of figures on the front and back give us a photographic image of each character on each figures card and a small cut out and keep bio on the back (akin to the 80s).

      My ideas:

*Trial of a Time Lord: The Mysterious Planet set (Glitz, Drathro, and Servo-robot)
*Trial of a Time Lord: Mindwarp set (Peri, King Ycarnos, and Lord Kiv)
*Trial of a Time Lord: Terror of the Vervoids set (Vervoid, the Inquisitor, and Mel)
*Trial of a Time Lord: The Ultimate Foe set (Sixth Doctor w/red tie and bigger afro, the Valeyard, and the Master)
*The Curse of Fenric set (Ace, the Ancient One, and a Haemovore

    • Dalek the Supreme

      January 23rd, 2014 - 2:20pm

*Wheel in Space set (Cyberman, Zoe, and Cyber-Planner)
*The Beginning set (First Doctor, Ian, Barbara, and Susan w/the TARDIS)
*U.N.I.T. set (Bessie, Liz, and Benton)
*The Web of Fear set (Jamie and a Yeti)
*The Enemy of the World set (Second Doctor and Salamander)
*The Evil of the Daleks set (Dalek Emperor, Maxtible, and humanized Dalek)

      January 23rd, 2014 - 3:57pm

Earthshock set is neede yes, brand new Adric figure with a cyberman an repaint to be cyber leader. Then the correct Ainley Master possibly from the 5 doctors if anything? Maybe with a generic timelord/president and a chancellery guard. TARDIS console room the other obvious, please character end the line, but end it with some greats!

      January 23rd, 2014 - 5:27pm

      I also wished they released:
      Celestial Toymaker
      Monoid
Emperor Dalek from Evil of the Daleks
Yeti from The Web of Fear
      Menoptra
      Zarbi
      War Machine
      Fish People
      Cybermen from the Moonbase
      Macra from The Macra Terror
Dominator & Quark from The Dominators
Time Lord from The War Games
White Robot from The Mind Robber
      Chameleon from The Faceless One
Salamander from The Enemy of the World
Seaweed Creature from Fury from the Deep
And more that is from other stories from first to seventh that haven’t yet released!

Also the Time Lords from The Deadly Assassin, The Invasion of Time, Arc of Infinity, The Five Doctors, Trial of a Time Lord, The End of Time and The Day of the Doctor. I love the costumes and also I like the things they wear on their backs. Actually I love the old ones because they are the best.

This is NOT the end of the 5 inch classics! It is a heritage line which basically means they are making previous versions! It isn’t the end of the 5 inch figures.

As far as I’m concerned, my money’s gonna be well spent this year. The heritage wave is an exciting concept and of course as is Capaldis first figure! U know what? Forget 5″, 3.75″ all the way!!! Theyre so collectable and very easy on the pocket, (new 5″ would cost £15+)

It’s not so much the pocket as the available space. I have seven/eight years worth of 5″ figures out in themed displays. There is no room left to start on 3.75…. Although they could be in perspective…. No… No…. Stop. It!

I thought when they released their update on moving over to 3.75 they said they wouldnt be regurgitating everything we’ve already had in the 5″ range and that it would be Series 7 onwards..? The 3.75 range lacks detail and articulation so its not really a collector range (IMO) they are definatley “toys” so why bother expanding the range into pre 11th Doctor?

As great as this looks, it makes me annoyed in two ways. The first as that there are STILL no signs of metallic New Paradigm Daleks being released in this new scale despite the fact that they are more relevant to the other characters in the line, and the second is that while this is clearly intended to be the Necros Imperial Dalek, it has the eyestalk of the Resurrection Renegade Daleks.

Apparently there will be no paradigm daleks unless they appear on tye show in greater quantities.

    • VespiformsSting

      January 22nd, 2014 - 3:49pm

Surely youve had enough paradigm daleks now… Ive got wind up paradigms, a desk patrolling paradigm a torch paradigm a key ring paradigm and best of all a bargain lovely remote controlled 12 inch paradigm supreme courtesy of B & M – lets have stuff we havent had eh….like the glass dalek containing the mutating remains of arthur stengos….

    • Dalek the Supreme

      January 22nd, 2014 - 4:59pm

The problem is that the Paradigm Daleks are the current model of Dalek alongside the Time War versions. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Supreme, Strategist, and Drone with the new metallic color and shortened rear-hatch. A glass Dalek would be cool, though.

The Revelation dalek is 3.75 ?? But its excellent !! Does this mean classics at 3.75 ?? Because if it does perhaps we can look forward to classic stuff ( like the yeti) at this size that from the Hartnell to Pertwee eras that they never gave us as five inch and which eaglemoss arent producing either….. HerEs to 3.75 Krotons , Yeti, Quarks, Zarbi et al.

3.75 classic cybermen please the Wheel in Space variant which has been ignored in the other set would be a good starter…..

    • The Other

      January 22nd, 2014 - 7:54pm

The Daleks do seem to have monopolised the new figure range…
      But I LOVE Daleks!!!! 😀 😀 😀
So they can carry on like this as far as I’m concerned; however, I would like to see an Emperor or Prime Minister to go with them seeing as they’re doing more accesories and bigger ‘toys’ to go with them
BUT… I would like to see some more variety as well, such as The Wispermen, Doctor Simeon, The Paternoster Row Gang etc…

    • VespiformsSting

      January 22nd, 2014 - 8:05pm

So how big would the Emperor (Evil version) need to be to match 3.75 daleks ?? I bet they could do all sorts in scale with 3.75 figures… A war machine wouldn’t need to be as big, neither would a complete drashig…. I think if they knuckle down the 3.75 classic range could be quite good….

I collected classic 5 inch and there simply werent enough of the figures I wanted and cost was always cited as the reason. If they now start to expand the 3.75 range to include all the classic aliens we should have had and theyre as good as the ice warrior and cyberman from the new series I say good luck to em – bring em on !!….

    • Dalek the Supreme

      January 22nd, 2014 - 3:45pm

I don’t mind it too much with all the exciting releases, but I feel Underground Toys should still be able to make Classics and the occasional New Series figure for 5-inch collectors. I’m hoping for 3.75 inch Tom Baker, Elizabeth Sladen, and ‘Asylum’ Dalek Drone!

    • ahunter8056

      January 22nd, 2014 - 3:31pm

I couldn’t agree more. Chase figures are a stupid idea.

    • Radburn

      January 22nd, 2014 - 4:40pm

Totally agree! The Chase figures ARE pointless – The only winners with those were Stockists pulling them & Ebay scalpers – Both charging exorbitant prices! All that waffle from CO then they go & release the whole Chase set abroad. Why not just sell (14) figures? Most Collectors (Myself included) would snap up the full set, instead of all this messing about trying to get the full series…
