July 15th, 2013 - 8:25pmI also think The Chase and Remberance Of The Daleks are my Favourite Classic Dalek Stories, but i cant decide which comes First
THE WHISPER MAN
July 15th, 2013 - 8:29pmI agree with you on Remembrance Of The Daleks but im not to bothered with The Chase. If i had to pick another Favourite Classic Dalek Story i would pick Ressurection Of The Daleks
josh smith
July 15th, 2013 - 9:00pmfrontier in space is the best dalek story
Cyberleader1010
July 13th, 2013 - 9:46pmIt’s odd that this one is the only set not to feature the monsters first and most recent appearance.
Dalek The Supreme
July 14th, 2013 - 3:33amI’m guessing it’s because of the popularity of the Tenth Doctor.
Liason Ice
July 14th, 2013 - 4:47amIt’s probably because the Tenth Planet only just got released and A Nightmare in Silver isn’t a 2 parter
josh smith
July 14th, 2013 - 8:22amthey dont want to put an animated story. tomb is the first cyberman story that has all its episdoes
Dalek The Supreme
July 15th, 2013 - 6:15pmAsylum of the Daleks isn’t a two parter and they added it to the Dalek one. I say it’s because many people like the Tenth Doctor.

Dalek The Supreme
July 12th, 2013 - 7:58pmIt has my first ever Doctor Who story on it as well as a great New Series story. (Even if they did try to replace the original Cybermen)
The Supreme Dalek
July 12th, 2013 - 7:04pmWill they have the original DVD casing inside the boxset (Tomb DVD and Series 2 Volume 3 Cover)?
auton101
July 12th, 2013 - 6:43pmRuined it by putting a cybusmen on the front cover.
Trenzalore
July 12th, 2013 - 6:47pmMore people are familiar with this design therefore more people will buy it
josh smith
July 12th, 2013 - 6:50pmactually i think more people will buy it if it had both on the front.
and booboo what is the target audience for these products because dr who seems to be more aimed at 5-8 year olds thee days
booboo
July 12th, 2013 - 6:54pmnot in age but casual buyer who walks into HMV and sees these Doctor Who DVD’s who maybe hasn’t bought many of any before.
Trenzalore
July 12th, 2013 - 6:54pmI know right, daleks were just on the news because a new maze shaped like a dalek has opened and it was so cheesy, it made me cringe, the reporter got inside the daleks and started doing a dalek voice, it actually made me a little bit embarrassed because I was watching with my family and now they think doctor who is really childish 😡
Dalek The Supreme
July 12th, 2013 - 7:59pmJosh Smith, some of the stories seem kind of dark for 5-8 year olds, especially A Good Man Goes To War, A Town Called Mercy, and The Name of the Doctor.
josh smith
July 12th, 2013 - 8:35pmthe name of the doctor was in my opion the wors series finalie
i loved the series 3 and 2 finalie
auton101
July 12th, 2013 - 8:46pmDoctor who is more childish than it used to be, more so in steven moffat’s stories. But i still think a tomb cybermen would have worked better.
The Living Shadow
July 12th, 2013 - 9:17pm… Not to mention how dark TCH was
Dalek The Supreme
July 12th, 2013 - 11:00pmThe Eleventh Hour, The Beast Below, Amy’s Choice, The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, A Good Man Goes To War, The Girl Who Waited, The God Complex, Asylum of the Daleks, A Town Called Mercy, and The Snowmen all take a look at the Doctor, the main character and hero of the show, being a darker, more manipulating character, and in the cases of Amy’s Choice, The Girl Who Waited, The God Complex, and A Town Called Mercy, almost evil.
josh smith
July 13th, 2013 - 8:26ammy problem is though that perwees worst story is still way better than matts best.
spearhead form space vrs hide
auton101
July 13th, 2013 - 10:28amspearhead from space is one of the best stories that was made. It was all filmed on location, the Autons are a fantastic enemy. To be fare it was a great introduction to such a brilliant doctor.
josh smith
July 13th, 2013 - 2:50pmbut its very boring. nothing happens until the last episode
Dalek The Supreme
July 13th, 2013 - 3:28pmI agree with Auton on Spearhead From Space, but my all-time favorite story is The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang. No offense, but I find it hard to comprehend you find Hide better than the above story, or most of Smith’s run.
josh smith
July 14th, 2013 - 8:23ami dont know either but hide clicks with me. i love it. and i love clara
auton101
July 14th, 2013 - 10:19amI enjoy spearhead from space and every other classic story because there is so much detail in the stories because of the length. That’s why new who stories will never be as good.
josh smith
July 14th, 2013 - 10:21amnot just that but the new who is boring because every episode is linked. if you dont like the story arc its very har t enjoy any stories however with the classic every serial is its own and if youl ike one and odnt like the other its not long to wait until another one.
auton101
July 14th, 2013 - 7:56pmVery true
Doctor Who Crazy Ross
July 12th, 2013 - 5:29pmokay, thats it. I’m getting them all. The covers are brilliant, the contents are amazing, and I’m sure they’ll look great in my collection 🙂
DavidH
July 12th, 2013 - 5:28pmOh, interesting idea for these sets. Don’t think I’ll get any of them but they are tempting
cyberman2
July 12th, 2013 - 5:20pmlooks good but a bit disappointed with the contents. i would have definitely got this if it had more stories
Doctor Who Crazy Ross
July 12th, 2013 - 5:16pmThey should have included Nightmare in Silver in this DVD…. That was a great story and has a brilliant cliffhanger.
Dalek The Supreme
July 12th, 2013 - 8:00pmTotally agree. And have had the 2013 Cyberman on it too!
Andrew
July 12th, 2013 - 4:14pmIm glad they went with the tomb, best cyber story ever, against the worst ever, lol.
josh smith
July 12th, 2013 - 6:53pmi really like rise of the cybermen. rose looked especially tastfull in that stroy.
i dont like tomb i wish they put the wheel in space
Dalek the Supreme
July 13th, 2013 - 5:48amI actually agree with Josh Smith on Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel, but not because of how Rose dressed, no matter how pretty or talented the actress, I still dislike the character. I like the dark feel to it, kind of like Spare Parts as a Doctor Who episode. The only think I don’t like is that they try to replace the original Mondasian Cybermen.
josh smith
July 13th, 2013 - 8:27amyh but i remember when i saw the episode i screamed because i didnt think cybermen would come back.
I always like it when compaions are good looking. Davis tennent was very much in love with rose
THE ENIGMATIC WATCHER
July 12th, 2013 - 4:11pmMight get this, I like the cover and I don’t have the stories.
lija
July 12th, 2013 - 4:06pmWhy does this only include only 2 cybermen episodes?
booboo
July 12th, 2013 - 4:07pmTaster or introductory DVD’s, not aimed at the collector
Existent Being
July 12th, 2013 - 3:59pmReally? The Parallel Cybermen and the Mondas Cybermen in the same box set. It might make sense if it contained more serials, but for just two, they really should be the same enemies.
josh smith
July 12th, 2013 - 4:09pmthey are the same
Some bloke
July 12th, 2013 - 4:18pmthey are the same, but from different universes.
Existent Being
July 12th, 2013 - 6:03pmThey are not the same!
Some bloke
July 12th, 2013 - 6:06pmyes and no. Yes they are both cybermen, only one set were created by a mad man in a parallel universe and the other set were a form of humans from earths twin planet who modified themselves to survive. Is that better?
josh smith
July 12th, 2013 - 6:39pmboth cybermen they are the same
auton101
July 12th, 2013 - 6:42pmYou are incorrect they are totally different cybermen, they only started being mondas cybermen after “the next doctor”.
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
July 12th, 2013 - 3:32pmdon’t quite see the point in this
josh smith
July 12th, 2013 - 4:09pmfor people who dont own dvds
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
July 13th, 2013 - 10:45amif i didn’t have all the current box sets i may have bought this. i think they should just be classic, as you can get the full box sets, and i wouldn’t want to duplicate.
josh smith
July 14th, 2013 - 8:24amthese covers look nice
Some bloke
July 12th, 2013 - 3:28pmOf course they’d put the new series cyberman design on the cover. It’s never the 20th century designs is it? Also, the text on the spine is facing the wrong way 🙁 Not getting it anyway, I’m just being critical of it’s artistic design, as dvd cover’s are something I personally like to design 🙂
Mister
July 12th, 2013 - 3:27pmOn the TARDIS in the corner, it has been flipped so the sign is back to front.
Some bloke
July 12th, 2013 - 3:29pmOh and that is wrong as well then. People will be disappointed if this is the final design
Doctor Stu
July 12th, 2013 - 4:21pmYeh I noticed that but I do love the Cybermen!
TheMysteryLiker
July 12th, 2013 - 4:48pmActually that’s the Second Doctor’s TARDIS, which had the St Johns sign on the other side of the door. So it is actually correct
Some bloke
July 12th, 2013 - 5:04pmoddly TheMysteryLiker is right, well partially. In the end of evil of the daleks and in the abominable snowmen, the ‘Pull to open’ sign was on the right Tardis doors, but unfortunately not in any of troughtons cyberman stories, so really it is wrong.
