April 22nd, 2013 - 7:03pmdoes anyone know where us uk fans can see theres?
Some bloke
May 3rd, 2013 - 9:29pmthat’s what I wanna know, and also, will we (in the UK) be getting a dvd release of these?
drjakeyoung
May 3rd, 2013 - 9:33pmno, because we will be getting the regeneration box set which is exclusive to us (the UK) and so it is only fair that this release is exclusive to the US. Although you could always just import it from amazon if you really want it!
Some bloke
May 3rd, 2013 - 10:03pmI’m thinking of doing that but only if i can find a way to unlock the region code on my blu-ray player (which also plays DVD’s)
drjakeyoung
May 3rd, 2013 - 10:04pmyou could look it up online and follow a guide? Is it even possible to unlock a region code?
Some bloke
May 3rd, 2013 - 10:05pmyeah, all the ones i find don’t work 🙁
drjakeyoung
May 3rd, 2013 - 10:17pmtypical lol
the doctor
April 9th, 2013 - 11:49pmDoes this have the complete episodes Like all the parts to it.?
the doctor
April 9th, 2013 - 11:45pmI might see if amazon have it and if so ill get it because i need all those classic eps.
The Ice Warrior is
April 8th, 2013 - 8:40pmCool
Sam Bentley
April 8th, 2013 - 8:10pmI hope they do one for all the Doctors here on the UK. I like the idea. The only classic I own on DVD is The 5 Doctors, so I wouldn’t mind something like this. I have watched a few classic episodes, they are great, but I don’t really want them all on DVD but if I could have at least one story from each Doctor, that’ll be nice!
drjakeyoung
April 8th, 2013 - 8:12pmif you are looking for something like that, then get the regeneration box when it comes out! it looks awesome!
Sam Bentley
April 8th, 2013 - 8:18pmYeah I think that is what I’ll get… if it is of a reasonable price of course.
drjakeyoung
April 8th, 2013 - 6:46pmofficial confirmation from BBC worldwide!:
Dear Jake
I am pleased to confirm the Regeneration Box Set will contain the below stories
THE TENTH PLANET, THE WAR OF GAMES, PLANET OF THE SPIDERS, LOGOPOLIS, THE CAVES OF ANDROZANI, TIME AND THE RANI, DOCTOR WHO THE MOVIE, BAD WOLF AND THE PARTING OF THE WAYS and THE END OF TIME
Kind Regards
DVD Enquiry Line
looks like it contains what it says on the title!
Some bloke
April 8th, 2013 - 7:24pmOOOHHHHHH, so are these the same as the release’s out now, or are they re-release and re-re-releases (caves of androzani)?
drjakeyoung
April 8th, 2013 - 7:28pmi think they have no extra’s on them unlike the normal releases, but i think they might have documentary’s on each episode (a bit like this doctors 1-4 release). The tenth planet will be released latter this year on it’s own but with all the special features that were not on this release.
Sam Bentley
April 8th, 2013 - 8:05pmI really think they should have included one of the series 6 episodes which feature Matt’s Doctor regenerating. I know it wasn’t a proper regeneration but I think it’s only right to include a bit of Matt for a 50th anniversary special DVD boxset like this.
drjakeyoung
April 8th, 2013 - 8:11pmAnd a bit of Colin! As there are no full episodes with Colin in!
Sam Bentley
April 8th, 2013 - 8:17pmThat’s a good point! Colin is my third favourite of the Doctors so it would nice… I am considering buying all the multi Doctor DVDs in time for the 50th… so I might purchase the Two Doctors… I’m not really up-to-date with DVDs… are all the multi Doctor storys on DVD (excluding Time Crash, Dimensions in Time etc.)?
drjakeyoung
April 8th, 2013 - 8:19pmyes, all bar dimensions in time are available on DVD
Sam Bentley
April 8th, 2013 - 8:25pmI think that might be a good boxset, seeing as the 50th is to be a multiDoctor story a boxset of all of them would be nice. Maybe even DiT 😉
Tim M
April 14th, 2013 - 6:21pmWell I certainly WONT be buying this box set! I already have most the stories (apart from the as yet to be released ‘The Tenth Planet’). I don’t see the point in buying them again.

April 7th, 2013 - 10:32pmHey booboo I know it’s off topic but do we know if the 50th anniversary is just one 60min ep or more then one ?
Thanks in return
booboo
April 7th, 2013 - 10:40pmi would like to think there is more to it than just one 60 min episode but nothing has been confirmed
josh smith
April 8th, 2013 - 8:24amno steven moffat said its longer than 6 mins
cyber leader
April 8th, 2013 - 8:25pmDefo longer than that lol stupid predictive text eh

pathdw98
April 7th, 2013 - 9:17pmI absolutely love the cover art for this. Even though the episodes in this have already been released (3 times in one case), I would buy this if it does have a u.k. release. Does anyone know what eps they are doing with doctors 5-11 in this series?

April 6th, 2013 - 10:07pmwill this be relased in the UK

Those Vigils Over There
April 6th, 2013 - 3:45pmAmazon have revealed the final episode title on Series 7 Part 2 DVD.

706 – The Bells Of Saint John
707 – The Rings Of Arkhaten
708 – Cold War
709 – Hide
710 – Journey To The Center Of The Tardis
711 – The Crimson Horror
712 – Nightmare In Silver
713 – Name Of The Doctor
drjakeyoung
April 6th, 2013 - 8:58pmthat is the working title, just like the last cyberman.
Sam Bentley
April 6th, 2013 - 10:21pmI don’t think that is actually correct… if it is I am rather disappointed with it.
Jacob r
April 6th, 2013 - 10:52pmLooking forward to the name,Whats your guess on what it is? Mines that his name unlocks the time war-
videogamemad00
April 6th, 2013 - 11:38pmThat was a review by a user of amazon. It was not written by amazon so it is not confirmed.
Mr Evil Fez
April 7th, 2013 - 7:20amI agree Sam.

April 7th, 2013 - 1:30pmPlus they have the production codes totally wrong, so I wouldn’t believe anything it says.
McGann is the Doctor
April 8th, 2013 - 10:07amWoah ! That is awesome, that better be it !
im not here
April 9th, 2013 - 3:58pmeven if that is the title they won’t give his name
because if they do it will ruin the point of the show and they will have to change the title of the show to something like doctor Jeff of doctor bob
or even doctor fred
The Casterline
April 6th, 2013 - 2:28pmWHAT! Tomb of the Cybermen? again?
drjakeyoung
April 6th, 2013 - 3:24pmspearhead from apace again? for the 4th time? 😯
JD95
April 6th, 2013 - 9:27pmI don’t think that they are making another edition that would be pointless because the first 3 stories have all been given at least two releases I just think the box set will be made up of the new Aztecs which has Galaxy 4, The Revisitations 3 Tomb, the Spearhead that was in the Manequin Mania box set and the original Pyramids of Mars.
Gordon
April 6th, 2013 - 10:33pmIt’s more for fans that don’t already have them
Gordon
April 7th, 2013 - 12:45amDont expect any extras or any bonus episodes that was on the original dvds. (so no galaxy 4 or any documentaries from the original or se dvds). Just expect the documentarys that was broadcast on bbc america, the intro from steven moffat and the episodes. Thats all
josh smith
April 7th, 2013 - 2:28pmbut everyne has this?
Gordon
April 7th, 2013 - 8:45pmnot the newer fans that don’t normally bother with the classic series releases. It’s to give them a taster
josh smith
April 8th, 2013 - 8:25amreally i thought people watched the classics first i got into dr who in 2003
Gordon
April 8th, 2013 - 10:15amThere is quite a fair few fans who only only watched the new series and has never seen little or none of the classic series.
drjakeyoung
April 6th, 2013 - 1:04pmi am going to be very annoyed if the second box set of this contains the visitation SE as i have already pre ordered it, and that is one of the only PD stories i have. (i am more of a 60s and 70s classic who fan)
Nicholas
April 6th, 2013 - 11:19amI may have to buy and import this from Amazon.com
josh smith
April 6th, 2013 - 2:57pmwhy do you want it so badly?
Some bloke
April 6th, 2013 - 3:00pmyeah same, but thats only if they dont release it anywhere else (namely the UK)
Some bloke
April 6th, 2013 - 10:47amOn the Regeneration Box Set page on this site, Gordon (a comment-er) reckons this could be the regeneration boxset. I hope it is cus I really wanna see the revisited episodes and I think it would just be a nice set to own
volcanic7383
April 6th, 2013 - 11:39amIts probably all of the doctors revisited and clips of all the regenerations
Gordon
April 6th, 2013 - 11:54amAt first I thought it could be but since the price has been revealed I’m not so sure. Using a currency translater I’ve realised there is about 30 quid of difference between the rrp of doctors revisited and the regeneration box.
Volcanic7383
April 6th, 2013 - 12:13pmProbably all the revisited episodes
Existent Being
April 6th, 2013 - 12:59pmThey have documentaries every month so the chances are we would get 4 box sets.
Existent Being
April 6th, 2013 - 1:32pmI meant 3.
Colinjohn
April 6th, 2013 - 9:50amIt seems that America is getting more out of the 50th Anniversary than we are in this country unless they intend to show these special docs later in the year but somehow I doubt it
Anonymous
April 6th, 2013 - 11:58amOr release them on DVD here under a diffeernt name? There’s a set still sitting there without any information due around the same time here.
thedw11
April 6th, 2013 - 6:50pmthe main reson is that the BBC are trying to make the US watch BBC. but this is anoying for us in the uk because we have to pay to watch the bbc and with USA geting all these exslosive
josh smith
April 7th, 2013 - 2:29pmwe dont pay for the bbc do we?
booboo
April 7th, 2013 - 2:33pmWe pay for the programmes via the licence fee
BBC Worldwide is a commercial arm who sell the products
josh smith
April 8th, 2013 - 8:26amsoory but wats a licence fee? im a bit conduced is it because they dont have adverts
The Flying Shark
April 8th, 2013 - 9:02amA license fee is where you have to pay so much a year to watch television. If you don’t have a license, it’s illegal to watch televison.

April 6th, 2013 - 9:40amIm glad there relesing old dr who to america who only know about new dr who
TNDNR
April 6th, 2013 - 12:30pmThe first Doctor broadcast in America was Tom Baker on other stations prior to BBC America, America fans also get the same DVD releases we do in the UK (even getting a Key to Time boxset well before the UK I believe), with the exception of The TV Movie which was only released recently due to rigths issues with Fox. However I don’t think America got the same level of repeats of Classic stories the UK got in the Wilderness Years on BBC 3 and UKTV so this is probably one of the first times these stories have been repeated there.

April 6th, 2013 - 2:08pmI live in Chicago and have been watching the Doctor since 1970. It was harder to find but it was here.
George
April 6th, 2013 - 6:05pmActually, the first Doctor to air in the US was Jon Pertwee, on KRON, then the NBC affiliate station in San Francisco, in 1973 (only lasted through 1974). However, Tom was the first Doctor to appear on PBS stations across the US (I first caught The Doctor in episodic form June 1981 via KRMA in Denver; I’d already seen Dr. Who and the Daleks on a late-night “creature-feature”).
Anonymous
April 7th, 2013 - 1:35pmYes quite it was Jon Pertwee who was the first Doctor. Mainly because none of the broadcastsers were interested in black and white television, even though many of the eventual broadcasters in the PBS stations were still using it.
Imagine how many more episodes we might still have today if they had been bothered to buy it.
Connor
April 6th, 2013 - 9:37amIm not getting it iv got all the storys and its really expensive! And i dont know if its going to be in Australia as well so im not getting this one! Looks good the box set but im not buying it.
Gordon
April 6th, 2013 - 9:55amIts being marketed more at casual fans than fans that already own them.
Doctor Who Crazy Ross
April 6th, 2013 - 10:43amme too, but I like the cover 🙂 I am… lol
George
April 6th, 2013 - 6:10pmActually, I take (part) of that back. I didn’t realize that WTTN in Chicago had been broadcasting Dr. Who since 1975, or that they started with The Mutants. For that matter, KTEC in Los Angeles started in ’75, too, with Dr. who & the Silurians, and other PBS stations started earlier. Ya learn something new every day. Fantastic!
Doctor Who Crazy Ross
April 6th, 2013 - 9:17amawwwh, I want it…. 🙁
