The Light at the End (Standard Edition)

bf-lightThe Light at the End (Standard Edition)

November 23rd 1963 proves to be a significant day in the lives of all eight Doctors…

It’s the day that Bob Dovie’s life is ripped apart…

It’s also a day that sets in motion a catastrophic chain of events which forces the first eight incarnations of the Doctor to fight for their very existence.

As a mysterious, insidious chaos unfolds within the TARDIS, the barriers of time break apart… From suburban England through war-torn alien landscapes and into a deadly, artificial dimension, all these Doctors and their companions must struggle against the power of an unfathomable, alien technology.

From the very beginning, it is clear that the Master is somehow involved. By the end, for the Doctors, there may only be darkness.

Really want to get into Big Finish, so I’ve asked for The Light at the End (because I love multi-Doctor stories) and Zygon Hunt (because I love Terror of the Zygons) for Christmas.

My predecessors did well, very well indeed. Especially the ones with the scarf and Victorian fancy dress.

I don’t even have to think about buying this, I mean it will cause some major disruptions to my own time line, but oh well.

    Happy Birthday to Me!

P.S At least this lot can speak without flapping their hands around and pointing their screwdrivers…

Wow, this looks really good – more Anniversary like than the Anniversary Special (or maybe not since its hard to tell with no trailer or info hint hint BEEB!). I too have never gotten into Big Finish tho I love the idea and all they have done to expand the Who mythos. And the Master being the preTremas version could be explained in literally one line of dialogue (“temporary temporal reversion Doctor – I may be wearing an earlier body, but I retain my memory of all of our encounters!”) as The Master was always experimenting against death!

Neither, its an audio drama. Its not like an audiobook when its one person reading a narration and voicing characters, its practically an episode with no visuals!

Hmm…’all eight Doctors’ but from what we have in the cast list there is only 5. I wonder who will be the voices of 1-3. I’m taking its not 9-11 though that would be brilliant.

in all honestly they could use audio clips from the original episodes they were in, and they could make it sound like the 1st 3 doctors are actually talking to all the others, i you get what i mean!

Wasn’t there a voice artist who had a. Amazing ability for vocally recreating Hartnell and T Baker – perhaps others as well – maybe they are using him or other guest with such talents? Have BF ever taken this approach or am I (MIS)remembering something else?
