5.5″ B&M 2019 4th Doctor & TARDIS Set

This Interim set Regenerated 4th Doctor in 3rd doctors outfit with the 4th Doctor head from the ‘time capsule’ set but with new revised decoration.
Exclusive to B&M this second Tardis set features the Regenerated 4th Doctor from Robot and a 4th Doctor’s Tardis.
This comes in the new “Classic” style guide packaging now used on most new pre-13th Doctor items.
There is a printed background card in the box of the Unit lab with a bookcase and wall with various 3rd / 4th doctor related items pinned to a board, The floor is even a different colour where the Tardis stands.
The regeneration figure was previously only available (in the UK) in the 50th anniversary time capsule set but this is a slight variant with updated decoration including whitish lining around the lapels.
The Tardis has a different shade of Blue, updated door panel and a white background on the signage above the doors. The doors open as per previous versions.
Looking at our Tardis Landings Page the white background appears in several outdoor shots including Terror of the Zygons and the Andriod invasion (which also looks closest with the lamp).
The original and now highly sought after 4th Doctors Tardis is on the left and new variant on the right. Some “weathering” has been applied to the signage, lamp top and windows to make it more screen accurate! Figure aside, The Tardis is sufficiently different to make this another must have set.

i think they will as it would be a huge waste of money if B&M have made them and they don’t get released.
if any thing goes wrong with these at all it will likely be a delay.

January 25th, 2019 - 2:16pmThe comments here saying they aren’t a decent price makes them sound very expensive. In reality you will be looking at around £40. Okay, it’s annoying and double the RRP – but not that bad. Not anything like the current series 12 Bluray situation where it has gone from £40 to over £300! The more time marches on the harder they will be to get and the price will go up so I suggest getting one at soon as you can afford to.

I suspect they were not happy with the social media attention and to an extent backlash over the Tardis and eBay prices and constant calls to stores, something happend that’s for sure.
Other side to that is of course as you say the success of sales were in part down to this, the “stocks arrive” post is one of the most visited pages ever on this site and the amount of comments were amongst the highest as well.
If they don’t want our attention though they wont get it.

November 4th, 2018 - 12:16pmI personally think its good were getting separate versions for each doctor, since we would be getting 2 next year, we might get a 1st,2nd,5th,6th,7th or even 8th hopefully but i have never seen b&m sell classic doctors other than 3rd and 4th so who knows. might even be a new who tardis tho id prefer a classic

For the other sets, I don’t mind getting the variants that will be soon released instead, but this one I just want the Third Doctor version.

My folks/family went to about 7 stores across the country multiple times (on holiday and at home) trying to find that set. They found the three 3-packs for me but never the 3rd/TARDIS.

November 3rd, 2018 - 7:51amBy the time your family spent all that money on fuel going to stores, you might as well of bought one off eBay anyway. I went back and forth from fareham, Southampton and Portsmouth and had no luck. My dad got me two from Yeovil in the end on the day the delivery came in. If I hadn’t got one, I’d have bought one from eBay. They’re some on there now for only £40 which I don’t think is an unreasonable price to be honest.

November 3rd, 2018 - 8:30amChris and I are from Portsmouth so did the same thing. I don’t think any of the stores down here got the TARDIS’ as I phoned them a few times a week. I did manage to get one in the end from a mate up north. Probably gonna have to do it again this time

November 2nd, 2018 - 12:37pmProbably the only one I’ll get, to be honest. I’m assuming the other sets are mainly for those who couldn’t get the first ones, and those who want to collect them all. People like me who don’t have much money to spend probably won’t get both, so I’d imagine sales won’t do as well on the 3-figure packs.
Can’t wait for another classic TARDIS, though! I managed to get the 3rd Doctor one (the last in the shop, locked in a back room), and I can’t wait to see the later 2019 sets. Basically, any new figures are good news.
