A gel-like plasma creature arrives on Earth and hunts down the third Doctor, who calls on the Time Lords for help. The Time Lords themselves are in crisis as their energy is being drawn off into a black hole. They send the Doctor’s earlier selves to join him.
The first Doctor, caught in a time eddy and able only to advise, deduces that the creature is a time bridge. The third Doctor and Jo then give themselves up to it and are transported to a world of antimatter beyond the black hole.
On Earth, the second Doctor is forced to take refuge in the TARDIS along with the Brigadier and Sergeant Benton. On the advice of the first Doctor he switches off the ship’s force field, and the whole UNIT building is transported through the black hole.
Behind these events is Omega, a figure from Time Lord history whose solar engineering provided the power for time travel.
He has been trapped in the black hole ever since and now wants the Doctor to swap places with him, but it transpires that the corrosive properties of his domain have already destroyed his physical form, leaving only his will.
This Gel Guard was lit with a lamp under a glass table – it looks superb…

Really want this i’m going to this huge Dr who expo in NZ (where i live) and i’m going to try and get this and the Planet of Fire set as my old Fifth Doctor fell from a tree and broke his arm (quite literally) so now i need a new fifth doctor on my shelve and this’ll look good with my other figures from the Three Doctors, the First and Second Doctor

If they’re going to make obscure supporting characters, I think Lytton from Attack of the Cybermen, Nyder from Genesis of the Daleks and Lytton without Dalek helmet from Resurection of the Daleks would be the most appropriate candidates.
By the way, we need the Trial of a Timelord with Valeyard and Doctor, with accurately large affro on the Doctor

I so want the new cybermen from series 7 but they will not be 5 inch figures!also I so want a Clara figure as well as a gunslinger and ice warriors from series 7(if they return)! Who here also agrees! They should just do the best villains or characters of the series and put them to 5 inch!

I would have preferred they keep all the figures in the 5″ range, but it’s not going to happen
The best we can hope for is that they will make more 5″ figures as exclusives, but that is unlikely because they have said they will not make any more new series 5″ figures.
On the plus side, the 3 inch figures, if good and if bought, could be kept seperate from the 5″, and who knows, there may be some good figures and a Tardis console room with moving Time rotor, I hope so!

The only time I ever tried ordering anything from FPI my card details were stolen (new card, the only purchase on it, so clearly them). I got no response from them at all let alone an apology. Plus their ordering system is/was atrocious (no real time control over your order – everything via email) and when I tried to cancel the order after the card details theft they wouldn’t respond to my email. They later complained near the release date of whatever I’d ordered that they were unable to process my cancelled card!
Never again FPI.

I should add to that that I will stick with FP (ie the non “International” version) who are a separate company (the original FP, been around since the 70s) with whom I have had no problems at all. I’m a bit gutted that I can’t buy this Three Doctors set though but there’s no way I’d ever use FPI.

i orderd from FPI a couple of years ago and got the rememberance of the daleks collectors ser. I wanted to keep it in the original packaging so maybe someday i will be worth something, but when it got to my house, the packaging was ripped to pieces! Finaly i got it sent back and replaced but they charged me £5 to send it back to them! 5 quid just to send it back to them which means over all i must have spent at least £45 on the set! I would have gone to the other FP but they had sold out on the set. Certain companies really get to me…

I never order my action figures online because I have no way of ensuring they are in good condition.
Production faults and paint bleed are to be avoided. The only figures I orderd where the Series 6 standard 11th Doctors because they had sold out in stores (and the blue variant I had to return the first attempt because his jacket had melted over his shirt) and the grey rory exclusive because there is no BBC shop or Doctor Who experience in Northern Ireland !

Those are some of the average sets.
The best ones are the Resurection and Revelation of the Daleks sets, the Keeper of Traken if you don’t already have the Deadly Assasin Master, the 7th and 1st Doctor Tardis sets the Caves of Adrozahni or Vengeance on Varos set depending on which Doctor you prefer Peri to be with.

Id much prefer to see Arcturus included in a peladon set Vega Nexos too -while an Ice Lord figure would be good another ice warrior would just be encouraging them to repackage the existing warrior figure and repackaging the same figure again and again is a sneaky co trick that Im trully sick of. Of course theyve been allowed to get away with it by a group of vociferous fans who shout ‘cost’ and make COs excuses for them in the process….

if your careful cutting round the tape although jo’s plastic moulded holder is stuck to the back wall so you will need to cut the ties form the front and you will still see it

I myself like playing with toys and going to start uploading adventures on youtube and have a great adventure planned with these figures. Such a great price though for all these defiantly worth buying!

I don’t care for the Gel Guard either, and since it always takes me AGES to get a set (only got the Keeper of Traken set a month ago !) I may aswell wait and see.
But this set is DEFINITLY good for the Brigadier and Jo, they look great

I have pre – ordered this with the Face of Evil Leela. I don’t think Jo looks like Katy Manning and don’t think Brigadier looks like Nicholas Courtney yet I bought it just because I really want a Jo and Brig. Leela and this set together cost £44.

Some sets, for the 1986 story Mysterious planet with the Sixth Doctor in his red waistcoat, bigger affro and umbrella, the giant robot thing (that would make a great figure) the Valeyard, a Terror of the Vervoids set with a jacketless Sixth Doctor in that amazing purple-red-green waistcoat and a Vervoid.
A peri from Mysterious Planet would be nice but her oufit was SO amazing I don’t think Character would be able to pull it off, that is make it, not pull it off in the other sense, that would be fun
Just as long as they make the Doctor.

id agree with anoymous, the enemies of the third doctor is a great set and this looks great too. alot of the classic sets that had come out years ago would have the prices risen by now, or on most sites out of stock. but go with a set you want the most. i usually go for the ones with great monsters in and characters.

Best set yet, it’s got a awesome monster and it comes with not one but two of my favorite companions from the 10th anniversary special ‘The Three Doctors’ episode. I only have one problem, it’s the fact I have to wait for it for so long – wish it’ll get released early – even a day or a week earlier would be fantastic.

Jo is my best companion with Sarah Jane, then Brig, then Liz, then Yates and Benton. Three Doctors was alright but its not the reason I’m getting it. I’ve watched all Pertwees.
I’m literally crying with joy here! Can’t Wait!
Next Things I would like is Carnival Mask Auton, Police Auton with interchangeable heads, a plastic doll and a basket of daffodiles in 1 set. Then Yates and Benton with Third Doctor based on the Day of the Daleks costumes. Bonus would be Bok, Azal and Master in robes from the Daemons :smile

I have got a ferrero rocher box, its a greta little sized box which I keep many accessories in, if they’re not displayed with the figures, mainly sonic’s I keep with most of the doctors. but things like source maniulator, time sensor and Mona lisa, I keep in there, its great storage!

Last time I was at FP they didn’t have many classic sets remaining.
This was okay because I only came for the Resurrection of the Daleks set and afew Series 6 figures.
But next time I want the Caves of Adrozahni set, the Invasion of Time set and the Keeper of Traken set. Hope they have got them !

It was to mark the start of the celebrations of their tenth year.
It’s like with the 50th, the fans are planning celebrations for all through 2013 and similarly back suring the 10th anniversary the whole of 1973 was used to celebrate (although back then all that meant was a behind the scenes book, a Radio Times special and launching of the Target novelisation range).

Pre-ordered two sets! Really impressed with the value of this set, but I do have a worry that since the price is so low, they won’t put as much effort in painting them as they normally would, but I’m sure I’ll be wrong! yuh, i think they would have mentioned it in the list of contents, loving the removable jacket on Jo. Very nice, seems to be a thing with the Pertwee era! just doctor and Bessie needed now. Considering i wanted this set for the Jo i must say i am rather dissapointed with the facial sculpt,her face looks chubby, her eyes look weird and her fringe looks dodgy. I hope they improve the sculpt before its made.
The brigadiers however looks great except for his weird eyebrows.

Good set. But as usual i have niggles. Jos face doesn,t look like her and the gelguard is a brown colour. They were more orange on the programme. The brig looks super.
