    Always disliked this design.
I know it’s not Robert Harrops fault, the sculptor just copys what’s in front of them, and to that extent they’ve done a great job.
I mean whoever designed this originally.
    What were they thinking!

Well, I think it was meant to be like that in a way to show how Morbius as become nothing but a hideous monster, he even realised it for himself!

It’s ok Day Dalek Gold, I realise everyone has different tastes and alot of people love the Morbius Monster. I’m glad Harrops made him for the collectors that like him it’s just not for me though. Sorry for the late reply, only just noticed you had responded.

It finally arrived. With some trepidation I carefully opened the box and removed the packaging – a very well packaged item. The creature is in one piece and looks amazing. Its only my second Harrop purchase but I’m looking forward to many more.

My worst fear realised. The busted box and rattling inside didn,t fill me with confidence.Just had to leave a message and an email I didn,t want a refund just a replacement but since these have sold out, i just hope they have a couple on standby for this occurrance but hopes aren,t high. The casing for something so fragile should have been better protected.

I have been told by Harrops before, that if a figurine arrives damaged they ask you to send it back for them to destroy and they make another one to keep the limited edition numbers consistent. They will not just send another one out willy nilly like Eaglemoss do.

Well this has not happened before Bicky, i wasn,t aware of that. I would rather have the replacement rather than the refund. I won,t know now what to do till they get back to me but its annoying when this happens. Hope everybody else gets theres in one piece, not two.

I’m sure Harrop’s have a backup plan for fragile items.

I bought one of the UFO’s they produced and the clear dome on top of the UFO had a problem. Got it replaced without any great drama. just had to wait a little while longer to enjoy the piece.

Was the figure wrapped in bubble wrap or have they gone back to the form fitting polystyrene?

Morbius came wrapped in bubble-wrap. Mine was securely wrapped so arrived ok. They don’t use polystyrene any more due to environmental reasons, i believe. I don’t think it was any safer than bubble-wrap anyway.

Has anyone had their’s yet? I know they are pre-orders but this seems to be taking longer than the other recent releases?

Still waiting on mine. Not getting impatient yet. Small company with a limited number of people able to carefully pack and send out only so many of the figures each day. In any case I think my order will be somewhere towards the end of the list of orders placed. It sold out pretty quickly.

They need to make it one per customer I’ve got a feeling that some people are buying more than one and then selling on a e**y for in some cases double the price

I placed my order on Friday – before 9am – really glad I did.

So did this sell out on Friday or did any stock make it through the weekend at all?

All the most recent releases have sold out increasingly quickly. Ridiculously so. I think 250 edition size might give some collectors more of a chance of getting one of these figures. Especially since the Cybermen are next to be released.

On second thoughts perhaps 300 or 350 might be a better edition size for them, otherwise there’s going to be a lot of disappointed people when the next release sells out. Probably within a few hours of being listed. Listed at midnight? sold out by sunrise?

      sold out 12.00 i think

i said a while ago i think they should go to 250, anymore and i think things would slow up leading to longer time between leases.

      Its a fine balance

Cheaper figurines with 500 are still available after 2 years

I mostly agree booboo. 250 as a standard edition size but maybe 300 or so for the ones likely to prove to be more popular. If the grey coloured clay version of the Cyberman already looks that good in the latest update photo then you’ll have people crashing the Harrop website when the figures are finally released. Of course I could be wrong and there’s no-one really interested in getting a classic Cyberman figure.

they have probably set the numbers a bit to low now, but its a fine line getting it right, Morbius may go the same day as will probably the cybermen stuff mentioned if the issue numbers stay the same.

Hang on, ordered last night? When did it go online? Thought this was due out at the end of the month. Last time I checked June had 30 days in it. I checked on Friday and got my order in as soon as I saw it listed, about 8 in the morning, because the Omega figure was also launched on a Friday. There’s going to be a lot of unhappy people who are checking today – or even yesterday – only to find it sold out.

    • booboo

      July 1st, 2019 - 11:14am

it went on about 11.00pm on Thursday night and was gone by 12ish Friday

Last time it was just after midnight on a Friday

They won’t list at weekends as no one there to deal with potential problems i suspect.

      July 1st, 2019 - 11:31am

So I was risking not getting it ordered by waiting 9 hours before putting in an order? Gulp!
Was it the same with the Omega figure and the last few releases as well? Listed at 11 the previous evening? If the same timing happens with the Cybermen and the edition size remains the same then they’ll probably be gone by the time people wake up on the Friday morning.

      July 1st, 2019 - 11:37am

Omega was about 3 days, mutant about 1-2 weeks

popularity does come into it but also now the “fear factor” of missing out.

Will be within 8 weeks – the video Harrop’s uploaded to their channel, showcasing the figurine did suggest that the majority of the production line were almost completed.

Apparently this product has been selling very well according to a Harrop’s employee, I wouldn’t hang about if anyone is intending on purchasing him.

Nicely detailed item but more expensive than the last one. Omega sold out in four days, wonder if the higher price will slow down the sales of this one.

I noticed the Limited Edition number has risen from 150 to 200 pieces but also so has the price! From an average price of £65 now to £90! I realise a discount can be had via Friends Of Robert Harrop but still!

all have been 200 for some time now, only the more “obscure” figures and variants have been 100-150 such as the cybershade (which is very small).

They actually started at 500 units, the extra cost involved in this one is because of the pewter and plastic fittings needed

I think the price increase for this one will also be because it’s a taller figure than the others
