New site Section – User Collections/ Pictures
There are now over 80 pages of user pictures and images that have been sent in to us.
Please note due to time constraints we can only include figure collections (including creative photography) and drawings.
You can see those sent in so far Here.
We have been asked on several occasions for a section where you can show pictures of your own collections. We are now putting this together so if you would like to send in any pictures please send them to m6rmw@aol.com. please try to keep to 4-5 pictures initially.
Please do not just send any old picture – they need to be of your collection, customs, dioramas or creative work or photography.
We may need to crop/change images to fit the page and cannot guarantee to show them all. you can also include any write ups about you collection if you want.
Please be patient, i have to do all of this between working! It may take a few days to include your pictures. Each person will have their own page so you can add to them if you want.
You are likely to get asked questions so be prepared to answer them!
This section of the site may be heavily moderated and will be done on a “see how its goes basis”. Please be polite – Any comments like “that looks rubbish” or “i could do much better” will just get deleted – i think you get the idea!

If Character Options ever does do Romana for their classic series range, they should do both versions of her as a 2 figure collectors set, since theirs only ever been 2 known incarnations of her played by the late Mary Tamm and the brilliant Lalla Ward.
Talking of Romana, if she could ever come back to Doctor Who, I’d like her to see being played perhaps, and if she can pull off a good enough English accent, by Amber Benson [Tara from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Series 4 to 6].

There is an old Doctor Who website for fan’s who collect Doctor Who merchandise can upload photo’s of their collections to show to other fan’s.
It’s called ‘Richard Who’.
I don’t think is updated much these days, but it’s worth a look.
Well known Doctor Who fan Chris Balcombe, best known for using his Genesis Dalek in a Kit Kat advert many years ago can be found on the website.

Yeah I have too. I used to have the Dapol Daleks before the Character Options ones came out, but I only had 1 Dapol Dalek at a time, and if it broke, I’d get very upset and wanted a new 1, so it would mean a trip to the old Who Shop in East Ham when it used to be just opposite East Ham Train Station, and I’d go home happy carrying a new 1 home with me
Trouble with them old Dapol ones, as with any Dapol figure, was that they where so damn easy to break. I’d always somehow broke the arm, gun and eyestalk or any of the Dapol Daleks I ever hada

Thanks! I wanted to build my own Tardis console room using only the pieces you get in the Character Building set – but hopefully a model that is, in some ways, more accurate (to a point) and more stable (I’ve read reviews that say the Character Building version falls apart quite easily). It is the sort of challenge I like to set myself!!

The only one I don’t like are the Doctor in Cowboy hat, which is infact a stettson
The rest are good figures and accurate enough, my favourite is the jacketless Doctor because you can get him to hold the loose jacket from the Pandorica wave and we should get more good 11th Doctor figures the ones in Series 6 were kinda cheaply made apart from the new hairsculpt and articulation.
The Doctor in Fez is great because the costume is all a different paint and his face looks expressionful for once, if only they had made a non-Fez version !

Yes I love that figure, it’s my latest one. On the Series 6 white shirt Doctor, you cannot move his head though, but it’s still a good figure.
As for the Series 6 blue shirt Doctor, and Ganger, it looks better if you can add the little white buttons going down the shirt, because CO didn’t bother to paint them on this year.

The Astronaut is a great figure, i think you should get it. When i went to Forbidden Planet they had non of them, I asked and they suggested I get it online, cos’ it sold out fast.

i also went to my local fp shop to get wave 2 and got three of them{doctor,ganger doctor and river} and the astronaut was sold out so when new stock arrives tomorrow they said they will reserve an astronaut for me so if you want to get it from the shop and ask the staff to reserve you one

If you want it shiny, you can either repaint it in a gloss paint, or you can use a gloss coat (paint or spray) over the existing paintwork.
