Leela Action Figure With Weapon Accessories

This item is available to order on-line from Forbidden Planet or Forbidden Planet International
The TARDIS arrives on a planet where a savage tribe called the Sevateem worship a god called Xoanon. The Fourth Doctor discovers that Xoanon is in fact a spaceship computer that he tried to repair at some point in his past and inadvertently drove mad by giving it a multiple personality.
Our own images of Leela, it has to said she looks so much better “in hand”…
It is tended to by another tribe of humanoids, the ascetic Tesh. These are the descendants of the ship’s original technicians, while the Sevateem are the descendants of the original survey team. The Doctor, with the help of a Sevateem girl called Leela, manages to gain access to the ship and wipe the additional personalities from the computer, leaving it sane and in proper control once more.
Leela, deciding that she no longer wants to stay on her own planet, pushes her way on board the TARDIS. The Doctor has gained another companion.

I bouggght one today, i picked out the one that has the best paint application, it looked fine, I took it out and it looked brilliant, but when i went to put it on the shelf, it woudn’t stand, The legs were fine, but then I noticed…She has 2 left feet, I don’t know what i can do, Am I able to take ti back, or do I have to just buy a new one?

i love this figure i have it when i opened it her right leg fell of but i pushed it back on so its fine now but my one has weird legs because her knee joints are facing inwards for some reason and it looks really odd

Thats called a quality control figure. I myself haven’t had one but a friend had a new doctor figure who had articualation issues, rough paint job and shoulders put on to far up the body.
P.S. I’m purchasing my figures from a website called hoorayfortoys or something. please let me know if there is issues with the website because i don’t want a river figure with the head of the astronaut or something… that would be a bit odd!

Wow, got this figure from FPI Leeds, its pretty cool, quite accurate, not as good as the current series ones but they are 3D face scanned, the accessories are nice, BUT when I got it out I noticed damage to the chin, bosoms, arms, the legs and arms were twisted, the left hand was deformed, the back was a funny texture on the skin, sort of like the paint had blistered and then THE LEFT LEG DROPPED OFF! I’ve been alright so far with QC but this is just atrocious!

So, we’ve got K-9 Mk 2, Peri and Leela, wonder who’s next, looking at other Dr Who related merchandise we’ve had both the doll versions of Leela and Scaroth, and now theirs matching figures. We’ve had a Tegan costume, so maybe Tegan a figure is coming. Plus the figures seem to come in two’s, blue/pink Peri, brown/beige Leela. Katy Manning says their’s two Jo Grants, so I feel it most likely Jo or Tegan.

Why have Character Options made new packaging it is brilliant but all the same.
Also why are they charging £15.99 for it it has never cost more than £10 for a single figure besides single carded release of Sylvester Mccoy

It’s not limited edition, that’s a bit of a myth that has gone around the fanbase. They make considerably less of these than normal figures but if FP wanted to they could easily order another batch of these figures.

I contacted Forbidden Planet International and they have told me this product is still a Pre-Order product and they have not been informed of any delay. They went on to say the figure would be released later this month but gave me no date.

They’ve sold out because there aren’t any in stock, and the reason there aren’t any in stock is because the figures haven’t arrived yet. FP.com are useless when it comes to this sort of thing and will pretend it’s out of stock, shame really as they are pretty good with everything else.

Regarding a signing of this figure: 2 versions are available to purchase at the SDCC – a standard one and another with a signed card placed behind the figure.
The signed one will undoubtedly turn up a month or two after the standard release via FP/FPI.

Ehm? Booboo says there are only 500 Signed SDCC versions – As the Destiny Of The Daleks Gooderson signed version was only released here I’m concerned that it will be only 500 Leela signed in the States? I contacted one of the US Seller’s who told me it is a signed photocard in the packaging but wanted $80 for it plus another $30 on top of that with postage. I really do hope they release a signed one here but have already ordered a standard version from FP as well.

The Accesories are Absoloutley brilliant, the costume detail is Fab, the new packaging is great and we have another companion which means more to follow hopefully. Leela would not be my first choice but anyway. The hair is alright but the face sculpt looks nothing like Louise.

Yay about time we got another classic companion to me the head sculpt is good however i think the face should be a little bit longer and more tanned , however the costume is great and the packaging looks like a revamped version of what dapol would of done if they carried on making doctor who figures. I get annoyed when people moan about leela and peri i mean people complain that there isn’t any classic companions and when there is people moan about it.

I think some people are concerned about some of the sculpts as we are getting up to £17 a figure now (albeit with accessories), i wont judge until i have seen it in the flesh because so many figures have not looked good in the past but they look fine in hand

A few people on various sites checked with FP after last year’s fiasco to see what was happening and they were able to confirm that they were going to get some of the SDCC exclusives in future although they couldn’t guarentee how soon afterwards they would get them just that they would.

I dislike the term “classic”. It gives the impression that the current series is some sort of spin-off. The logo and branding of the day should be used on all merchandise regardless of the era being featured.

There seem’s to be a number of prototypes swept up from the floor of some Chinese factory and then commanding silly money on ebay from various Chinese Sellers. As great as the Krynoid prototype is (At least I have my Axon)and as much as I appreciate the Master & Axon Box Set until the Krynoid appears officially Packaged & Boxed as a released Character Options toy it doesn’t exist!

OMG! It’s finally here a Leela Action figure with her weapons. She is my favorite companion from Tom’s ERA. We know Batmanmarch on youtube will be happy. I wanna get this right now. I hope the figure is good.
