I love collecting these, I currently have 36 of them n the set is growing 🙂
Would be nice to do some trading with them if there was a secure way of doing it as I do get myself quite a few double. If an easy way of selling as eBay is just faff. I think the figures they have brang out so far are awesome and can’t wait for the next sets to come out. Wish they were slightly cheaper too but still don’t stop me from collecting them lol.

I ordered a box of the 10th doctor series 2 figures from forbidden planet.com. it came today, they said you would get the 12 basic figure set, I didn’t, had 3 missing and to top it off, one box was already opened and contained an empty bag. obviously been stolen out. im not happy! cost me £135 and I still haven’t got the basic set and only 19 figures when I should of had 20!!

i emailed FP Customer services about this myself and they told me you wouldn’t be guaranteed all the figures if you ordered 20 it would just be random

      Quote

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we can not guarantee that you would get the full box and not 20 individual figures, these kinds of requests can only really be done in store to be sure you would get what you’re after.

Sorry we can not be more help this time!

Then others contacted Titan and were told the exact opposite, they were supposed to putting separate listings for full boxes i thought to guarantee you got them but this never happened, only on the new set

I would contact Titan on this

      February 1st, 2014 - 10:37pm

I spoke to 2 guys at forbidden planet because obviously I was fuming about getting and empty box and both was under the impression you did get the basic 12 and 8 others which could include a few chase figures. they are ment to be getting back to me on Monday about what they are going to do for me.

    • Chrispycrutch

      February 2nd, 2014 - 2:42pm

This doesnt sound good, I also ordered the box of 20 (took three weeks for delivery), when I received them I called FP to get them to confirm that I would get the basic set of 12 and at least 2 chase figures and they did confirm this and if I had any problems to call them. Unfortunately my box is still at work unopened as i have been off work since, dont know what to do know, I guess I’ve run out of time to send them back?

Umm just looked at FP description of these boxed sets and they have changed the wording!!

    • mick

      February 2nd, 2014 - 6:56pm

Its still saying full set which they had me believe is the basic 12, but I didn’t get all 12. I would check out you box quick as I had an empty box in mine where someone had stolen one out!

    • Chrispycrutch

      February 2nd, 2014 - 8:51pm

Gonna call them in the morning, cant check my box as it’s at work at the minute and I’m not back for several days, this is going to end up as an expensive mistake for me.

    • mick

      February 4th, 2014 - 1:10pm

did you ring them chrispycrutch, what did they say? they cant supply me the ones I didn’t get so sending some back for a refund.

    • Chrispycrutch

      February 4th, 2014 - 8:41pm

Hi Mick, yes did call them, they said all the right things about duplicates etc and would supply replacements if required, however I think gonna return them I’m finding it harder and harder to locate the chase variants and when I do on eBay they go for silly money. I want the full set however it looks unlikely I will get it, so FP have been extremely helpfull in accepting my return hopefully. I think I will collect and pre order all new sets as it looks more likely I would get full sets, as opposed to trying to locate sets that have been out.

    • Radburn

      February 4th, 2014 - 8:59pm

I can tell you now that just buying a case WILL NOT guarantee a Basic Set due to the Odds (ie) 1/20 3/20 1/40 etc. Plus all that business of getting 2 Variant Chase as well – No…

    • Anonymous

      February 4th, 2014 - 9:42pm

I got a full box of 20 delivered today from Forbidden Planet and I did get a full basic set, a clockwork variant and 2 of the rare chase figures, I also got 5 duplicates which was to be expected but overall I am very happy
      with my purchase.

      February 18th, 2014 - 7:48am

      Hi Mick,

FP were great arranged for the box to be collected and I received a full credit, the ones on eBay were individual figures I had purchased and have now decided that trying to complete a whole set might cost me more than I am happy paying for, so just clearing the decks a little with a few sales.

  • Uila

    January 30th, 2014 - 4:39am

I started to collect those this week and have ordered a full case of series 2 from the Lunartik website and already ordered 14 (10 of those are artist proof versions I ordered from Matt Jones) individual figures of series 3.

I am trying to find a whole case of series 1 in Europe before resorting to ordering it from the U.S.A and having to pay prohibitive costs in shipping plus custom fees, so if anybody knows where can I get the whole series 1 case (that would ship to Germany!) I would be really thankful!

I also bought the 2 comic con ones from forbidden planet! Oh, and I really don’t mind variants and chase figures, but please don’t make anything like the silver tardis again, I can only hope someone will part with theirs someday so I can complete my collection (though who knows for how much? I cringe to think!)

When this was announced a few months back it was 11 figures, a surprise figure (Which I presume the Wooden Cyberman is, as the Episode hadn’t aired yet?) plus 4 Variant Chase figures ~ Roll on May…

    • Richard Doidge

      January 22nd, 2014 - 10:12pm

Interesting? If you add the figures up for the Geronimo Set they come to 17 like the 50th. Anniversary 11 Doctors Set ~

      So: 11th. Doctor
      11th. ‘Monster’ Doctor
      War Doctor & Sonic (Hurt)
      Zygon
      Rory & Sword (Centurion)
      Amy (Red Top)
Clara & Souffle Whisk (As Oswin Oswald Red)
      NIS Cyberman
      NIS Wooden Cyberman
      Whisperman
      Ice Warrior
      Strax & Spade

      Surprise Figure: Cyber 11th. Doctor?

      Variants Chase: Rory
      Amy
      Clara
      11th. Doctor

    • booboo

      January 22nd, 2014 - 10:48am

only that they realised how difficult it was for completest as they had essentially made it an overseas exclusive (and i think very limited circulation here)

we are talking to them so i will mention the frustration it causes

I have no issue with the chase figures generally as it keeps up interest and they can be got easily from dealers if required and don’t command high prices.

there is a general release geronimo which looked gorgeous which isnt in the promo image, you should see that in the next day or so

    • Radburn

      January 22nd, 2014 - 10:59am

Thanks for that! Literally I have only seen a handful of the Silver Tardis (Less than 10 for sale) one from the UK & the rest (Rumoured to be a Hot Topic! Exclusive) in the US. Two of the US were on sale for £150 whilst the rest varied – Unfortunately most of them won’t ship to the UK either…

Looking forward to this General Release Geronimo as well ~
