I think it was a mistake to release this one straight after the Yeti, they look almost identical when they’re next to each other on the shelf.

Why do they have such terrible packaging and very bad quality control received Deamon special no hands outer box missing figure stuck with sellotape to issue causing damage to issue still awaiting replacement they should at least put padding in box 7th time now had to report damage to other figures so close to cancelling service should be better for money they are charging I would have thought the doctor’s would have been great larger special’s

Eaglemoss took out payment for the Aggedor special on 18/09 so hopefully it will arrive before it comes out in the shops. I hope all the claws are intact

Ha! I assume your claw comment refers to the Yeti? Eaglemoss have sent me 2 replacements, all of them missing claws. I have 3 clawless Yetis.

BTW – £18.99 came out of my account today.

I’m pleased it will possibly go past 120 figurines as there are so many characters in the Dr Who world

Will we be getting a Missy figurine?

Yes there will be a Missy (issue number still TBA).

Last I heard, they hadn’t decided which costume to do their Missy figurine. I think she may be out within a year’s time. Don’t quote me on that date though, I’m just going off the time it took to make a figurine the last time a similar decision was being made regarding one of the Doctors.

They were almost certainly aiming to have her out within the 120, but that may no longer be the case with the extension happening. The Masters are there to give collectors the incentive to stick with the collection becauxe they know more are coming down the line (as the Doctors had done before), so they’ll have to stretch her and Ainley out to fill the gap until Whittaker’s Doctor comes out.

For future specials they’ve mentioned a Wirrn and a War Machine, although that was a while back and plans can change (they had a Krynoid in the works at one point, but scrapped it because they weren’t happy with the sculpts).

There was a picture from Ben Robinson I think it was a while back showing Aggedor in comparison to Pertwee. This figurine was much taller. Why can’t this pass as a normal issue?

Granted the special issues will always be out of scale (the wooden cybermen figurine is 0.5 inches shorter than the emperor dalek), but when there are things like the Fisher King and the Veil in the regular lineup which were much taller than regular characters, it seems a bit silly to make a 5ft creature a special edition .

So long as you don’t mind him not being to scale. Aggedor and the Fisher King should swap places.

Totally agree aggedor was actually smaller than jon pertwee

      July 27th, 2017 - 8:47pm

Think that was when he was on four legs though? On his hind legs he must be taller surely

    • The Werewolf

      July 27th, 2017 - 8:50pm

On his hind legs he was still shorter than Pertwee. I watched both Peladon stories a couple of weeks ago and remember. Some of the earlier shots used camera tricks to make him appear larger, but in Monster you can clearly see how small he is.
