Just got him today. Wasn’t that fussed beforehand but he’s annoying cute I have to say! Got him down the front (near the empty child) as he just gets lost amongst the taller ones!

      It will.

Firstly there are subscribers. Secondly, if you judge from the reactions on twitter, there are people interested in this figure.

Yes, it’s been extended again (no number given yet), there will be Rare Daleks still. They were planning on some more bonus figurines at some point, but not be Daleks though.

This shouldn’t of been even thought of for a figure from a terrible story that wasn’t worthy of being dr who

I certainty won’t be looking forward to this figurine. Why is this one famous for 50 years? All it ever did was squeal, ran away and got shot by an army soldier. What a silly stupid joke in fact it was in the story it was in. Why can’t they change it to either Adipose, Bannakaffalatta or the Moxx of Balhoon?

It was the very first scene filmed for the revival. Pretty noteworthy for that alone.

And Ben Robinson really likes it, the history of it as the Anon says is possibly why. Figurines like this is “what the collection is really all about” he says. Which is also what he said of the Voord, so I think he is referring mostly to the obscurity factor.

Of all the revival series creatures they could have made a figurine of they had to make a figurine of the most forgettable character ever. It wasn’t even an alien or an intelligent life form. If they wanted to make good figurines from series 1 they could have done the Moxx of balhoon, a gelth ghost, a reaper, the robots from the game station or the time war guard dalek and assault dalek.

Ben Robinson (Editor) loves it. I think it may have been a personal choice as well.

    • Ray Stephenson

      July 1st, 2017 - 10:19am

I agree. The time war and assault dalek’s would be a great addition.

    • Jordan Scott

      July 1st, 2017 - 3:14pm

Yes really want an assault dalek and more emperors guards!

    • The Werewolf

      July 1st, 2017 - 6:23pm

I’m pretty sure they will do lots more Daleks, so the Assault Dalek is highly likely imo.

it occurred to me that it could be down to having to make some low cost and easier figures to offset some of the cost of the more complicated ones we have had recently.

I recall this PigPilot being at Lands end Doctor who exhibition along with the likes of the Moxx of Balhoon many years ago now.
I wish the Doctor Who experience got some more props/costumes like this in and not just the main monsters.

It’s not the episode title, that’s further up the page. It’s probably refering to the article inside…

    • The Werewolf

      June 29th, 2017 - 9:23pm

No, that’s just the full name of the figure “The Slitheen Stratagem Pig Pilot”. A lot of the names a like that e,g. for Hydroflax it says “His Infinite Majesty King Hydroflax” whereas Omega is “Omega, Time Lord Hero” and D-84 is “Storm Mine 4 Robot D-84”

    • Jordan Scott

      June 29th, 2017 - 10:16pm

So basically the name is correct but the word “stratagem” is missing an “a”. Hopefully it’ll be fixed by the time it’s released.
