All the figurines are carefully produced in 1:21 scale, and cast in a specially formulated metallic resin before being painted by hand and individually numbered. The specially formulated resin and high quality sculpting allow the figurines to reproduce an incredible level of detail right down to the mesh in the Silurian Warrior’s uniform and the controls on Davros’s console.

I got this on Saturday, great as usual, the magazine is fascinating too. For some reason, I found it a bit sad to see the ‘naked’ Boe animatronics before they put his skin on, didn’t look right for some reason, but still a fascinating image.

Erm, when did I say that? I know the Krynoid is from the Seeds of Doom. I’m saying people will by an extra Krynoid figurine to paint as an Axon in its true form because they re-used the same costume.

Additionally, 79 is one of Sutekh’s Mummy Robots, and the next two specials will be the Mire and a Krynoid.

      A Krynoid is a strange choice…
How do you know the right issue number?
      Always from twitter?

      February 29th, 2016 - 7:50pm

Why is a Krynoid a strange choice? Some people will buy an extra one to paint as an Axon in its true form to go with Issue 71. The issue no.s are from Neil Corry on twitter.

I saw this in a newsagent today and was duly expecting mine when I got home, but alas not yet. I had never really thought before, who gets them first, subscribers or shops. I always thought subscribers but I guess it is the other way around.

It could be of coarse they were waiting for supplies of 67 so everything got shipped together

It’s going to be a really big packet for the figure.

      February 28th, 2016 - 7:33am

Mine arrived yesterday but the semi-circular ‘ring’ that forms the top of his tank had broken off in transit. Judging from their FB page one or two others have had the same problem

    • Dom

      February 28th, 2016 - 9:19am

What is that made of then

    • booboo

      February 28th, 2016 - 9:26am

its resin cast, mine was ok but was in a standard packing box which “bulged” because of the size of this special so if another heavy parcel was put on top i can see what some might have broken to be honest

Having said that i think they have done a great job on this one

    • Dom

      February 28th, 2016 - 9:28am

I am still waiting for mine to come might be tomorrow or Tuesday.

    • The Monitor

      March 2nd, 2016 - 5:27pm

Mine arrived today, like Booboo, the box was crushed around the figure. Luckily the figure packaging is ok from a storage, stacking, display point of view.

Ambitious figure. One you don’t want to move around too much as it will chaff on the cable tie.
