Series 6 Figures Wave 1b – Pictures
Doctor Who Series 6 Figures Wave 1b
Recreate scenes from Doctor Who with these incredibly detailed fully articulated 5-inch action figures. Characters include the Eleventh Doctor and key villains from the hit TV show. Styles may vary. One supplied. For ages 5 years and over.
Wave 1b consists of 6 Figures – Idris, Uncle, The Eleventh Doctor wearing cowboy hat, The Eleventh Doctor with beard and wearing straight jacket and Silent’s with closed and open mouths.
The Silents supplied in wave 1a are totally different to wave 1b, the have a matt black coat (looks much much better in y opinion) and a more “pinkish” face which is a a matt finish rather than the shiny appearance of the grey ones.
Amelia pond is not the same face sculpt or hair as the Doctor Who Experience figure…

August 11th, 2011 - 11:29ami thought they were wave 1b, and 1a has amelia and nephew instead of idris and uncle, then wave 1c is the unanounced figures, so astronaut, idris (with time lord cube thing), river song (series 5), uncle (again), flesh doctor, 11th doctor in blue bowtie and shirt, (from rebel flesh and almost people), am i right booboo?

If new doctor who figures or merchandise are released (eg: Series 6 Wave 1C figures) after the catalogue is released then they add an extra page next to the doctor who section in the catalogue which would show the new products/toys recently released and their product codes to go and buy them.
Thats if they still do that now? Im not sure.

August 11th, 2011 - 12:11pmThey did it for the face of boe figure and the Utopia Master set aswell as with the series 5 figures when wave 1F, i think it was, came out with the smiler and underhenge figures. It may have been Wave 1G. I dunno the series 5 figure waves were confusing lol

August 11th, 2011 - 12:28pmYea and considering CO have alot of doctor who products still to be released (Wave 1C And Character Building Series 2 aswell as the possiblity of more Character Building Sets) they will most certainly add new pages in. plus ive never seen a whole page in an argos catalogue completely on doctor who toys. last year the size of the doctor who section was VERY small. about the same size as the page section containing the Nano Recorder and the Personalise Your Sonic Screwdriver Set. Can’t wait for next week when wave 1C are announced.

This time I did get a reason, apparantly Amazon had listed the product wrong and that I would of only recieved one figure. I’ve now cancelled the order, and will have to stick to buying the figures individually. But the strange thing was, the one figure they had wasn’t one of the figures listed, it was an Amy Pond from last series’ wave, strange!

August 8th, 2011 - 3:30pmtwo waves have arrived at once which wouldn’t normally happen so it seems a lot all in one go i agree, there was a considerable delay with wave 1a/1b from its original delivery date, we dont know the full story behind these new figures only that someone has got hold of them early and are making a fortune out of it.

August 8th, 2011 - 3:20pmRemember though wave 1A and 1B (as they are identical) were planned to be released in mid-June. I’d assume that 1C was aimed for late July with the Argos catalogue and this was to come out in August but then 1A/1B got pushed back and so they have all come out really close to each other.

As for the Silence, they look horribley fierce, very well-made figures. I will get afew of them for sure. But the 1st figure I’m gna get is the Imprisonned-Doctor. 😎
