Seeds of Doom Set Arriving
23/03/2012 The Doctor Who Seeds of Doom Set containing The Krynoid and 4th Doctor is now Arriving In Forbidden Planet Stores and stock is being sent out to those who pre ordered it.
21/11/2011 Arthur Darvill (Rory) and said on the live Q&A section at this years DVD signing that he has “only Just Seen His figure”. At least we know one is now very possibly on its way.

the electric shock chest damaged cyberman in wave 2d is the same as the one previously released in wave 1c but without the open head you get a flesh packet instead.
This new subwave gives you the limb damaged cyberman but with the open head and no flesh packet
this is all getting quite confusing

It may be a while, with the 6th Series having been split in two, the waves for Series 6 are said to be continuing up into february, POSSIBLY.
I certainly hope so, because at this rate, we won’t have the Doctor in Longcoat, Amy pond from Day of the Moon, Madam Kovarian, Dorium Maldover Headless Monks or any other important characters from the Sixth Series !
What we’re getting is an endless wave of Cybers and Silents, which are great figures but this is not COOL if we aren’t getting any new characters.

The one with electric hands is a bit of a pointless variant I think, because we’re already getting the Limb and face damage Cybermen with the electric so we don’t need another one !

I hope the ‘sub wave’ are differential enough to get a seperate listing on Character Online. I’m currently having a very hard time finding anything new for sale locally in Australia. (The ABC stores are full of DW stuff… but it’s all the ‘same’ stuff over and over… my local store just got the 2011 Christmas gift set… again… and more pandorica figures… again…)
Anyways, I’m mostly after the Silent from this sub-wave.

They’ll do ‘every single variant possible’ regardless of Rory… and when Rory comes out… we’ll get ‘every single variant possible’ of Rory lol.
Probably.
Don’t worry too much about these ‘variants’ taking away from brand new figures. They pad out the waves and bring in more income for CO to make more figures. But yeah… if you’re a completionist, you’d be going batty right now.
Living in Australia, I haven’t been able to afford to import the classic exclusives either, and have had little luck with getting variants in store.

There are plenty of anonymous posters (myself being one of them).
Normally it’s possible to tell if it’s the same person by how they “talk”, what they discuss and what their likes are. It’s very hard to describe but occassional mistakes are bound to be made when assuming it’s one person.

What I want to know is why didn’t Character originally want a Rory figure! hey brought out a figure of ‘Uncle’ for Lord’s sake, so they really can’t say they thought, at the time, he was too much of a minor character. They constantly bring out figures of ‘one-episode’ people and monsters…Rory is now one of the main characters! There again, they took ages bringing out River Song: maybe they’re just not that fussed about companions. We haven’t had many classic companions either…

They were not ages in releasing a River Song, one came out back in 2008 so you can understand their caution about if releasing a variant was a good idea as people already had one.
But with Rory, it was just that they couldn’t be bothered spending the money on it until they were told to by Moffat.

things seem to have altered with Charterer and images are being released at virtually the same time as the figures and there seems to few prototype figure images so if this carries on we will only see the image when it nearly here unless they decide to do an advanced press release which sometimes happens.

I totally agree but it is really disappointing it won’t be out until next year. Anyhow I have made my custom Rory figure based on Let’s Kill Hitler outfit. Just has to do the number 8 on the left hand side of it’s jacket. I used the tenth doctor body and the masters head from the professor YANA double pack. I think it is petty awesome. Has anyone made a custom Rory? Please reply!

I wouldn’t believe everything you read, we’ve already had several conflicting claims over the Ponds status on board the TARDIS, look at Karen Gillan.
Amy Pond will only be popping up from time to time (according to Moffat)
Amy will never pop up from time to time, Karen Gillan will leave before that happens (Karen Gillan)
If Moffat has lied about the Pond’s appearance in the Christmas Special he’s covering something up, chances are they are back full time.

the signing is organized by 2entartain and BBC worldwide who as far as DVD’s are concerned dont tell us anything , in fact they go out of there away to ignore us so we ignore them and besides we generally only report signings at independent small chain shops.

I think most of the problem was down to family permission as most of them still have estates that are still in full control of any rights (like Churchill or say Agatha Christie).
50 years after death is the UK law, so it would be fine for say Charles Dickens or Van Gogh (although other rules likely apply for the royal family but perhaps not).

3.The River with different hair is part of the Wave 2 re-release so quit complaining, it’s a difference, which is a good thing so stop complaining we don’t need another river, it’s already being re-released in Wave 2C so atleas there’s A difference !!

Booboo, I think the new 11th Dr varient (White shirt, red bowtie) that is thaught to be exclusive to FPI, is on the Character options website. Character just class this varient as the standard 11th Dr with blue shirt/bowtie. Like the River varient, you have to ask which one you want by sending them an email.

Booboo. Do you have or have you seen up close the flesh bowl creator set yet? Am wondering whether to get it as a xmas present. It comes with one bio frame and two sachets of powder, which character have e-mailed me to say will make up to 8 figures. Not sure if each figure needs a bio frame? you do the bio frame otherwise you end up with a wobbly jelly, these do however even with the frame only Last for 24 hours before they start to dry out and en up looking like some hideous figure from a horror movie

Yeah whofan4ever, I’m sorry that guy bought the last River out from under you, it must have been quite disappointing. Funnily enough, I’ve had the same thing happen to me (with a different figure) at a convention before.
Some people are quite rude unfortunately.
Luckily not all adult collectors are like that. I often drop my spare (ie Character Building) figures off at my local toystore (I know the owners). They give them out free to the little kids that come into the store. Makes them smile!

I actually lost track! There was loads! well worth the money! i think it took maybe 2 hours, but i drew it out because i was enjoying it so much!
Its only about the same size as the Dalek factory but theres alot more to it, its more ‘dense’ unlike the dalek facorty which had alot of open spaces in it. A fair few bits are different to the front of the box…I think its for the better

There is talk that the ‘peg soll’ figure spotted on Ebay comes in a new wave along side:
Dorium
Hand bot
Gibbis
Hitler + pistol
and of corse the doll.
The only thing that makes me think this may not be true is the fact hitler is in the wave, and CO have never made any historical ture life figures before. but still, the rumour is there.

Actually the figure is Peg Soldier (which would suggest there are more of them as they are generally called the Peg Dolls).

I doubt that information is correct for one simple reason. The figure that has been revealed is the Pegg Soldier not “Peg Doll” as this person is claiming.

Ok thanks me and my mum drove past Argos Epping today and we decide to go in they didn’t have the set so I got amelia and nephew instead. I have three other Argos stores near me as well plus I have the Argos app on my iPod so I can check whether it’s in stock nearby

at the moment of the 8 stores near me only Malvern has them (2) but we know Evesham and Worcester did have them and some of the others say you can order it so they must be expecting fresh stock

Well when the flesh wave was leaked character said
more information will be coming in about a weeks time or over(which back then was the week of 15th august. The flesh wave then appeared in FP) so we could expect info in at least 2 weeks time. However CO may hold the announcement back untill series 6 part 2 has finished broadcasting in case there are figures which could be spoilers. The seller on eBay right now says there are 10 availible and will be in stock before Xmas meaning they may not be released untill October half term like wave 1F
