A Breath of Fresh Air – 3.75″ Dalek Sec Alternative?

A Breath of Fresh Air – Dalek Sec Alternative?

Some years ago a range of Doctor Who Themed air fresheners were marketed in the form of Daleks, K9 and The Tardis. At the time they would have been ignored by figure collectors and those who wanted to “Play Figures” – but what about now?…

Character Gold Dalek left, Air freshener right…

We were intrigued when someone mentioned the Daleks closeness in size to the new 3.75″ so decided to take a look.

First thing that struck me is how inexpensive they are, from a couple of pounds on ebay. Second thing that struck me was how good they are, not to Character’s standard but none the less a good mould and articulated, with moveable gun, plunger and eye – and rotatable head.

So near yet so far…

Plus points aside, sadly they are just to small, and they are on a rotating base, not wheels, but does that really matter? – probably, but as a (very) low cost alternative to the chase figure, you might just want to pick one up. Alternatively buy and army of gold air fresheners, then it really wont matter.

I got the black dalek and a k-9 air fresher today off eBay both for £6.50 with free postage.

Sadly due to the age of them now, when I opened k-9 he’s lost his smell but they’re still cool figures. The dalek still smells lovely, so he’s going in the car.

I bought two full sets of these at the time of their release. One set is still unopened but the others all still retain their fragrance.

I still get people asking me where I bought them!

I have had the gold one sat on my mantle piece for about 6 months, bought as a job lot with other figures on ebay, never new what it was from until now, just sniffed it & it still has it smell. It does make a good figure.
