3rd Doctor Figure with Maggots

The long rumoured 3rd Doctor Figure with maggots is now available to order.

UNIT is called in after a miner from the Welsh village of Llanfairfach is found dead, his skin glowing bright green. Jo joins forces with a local environmental group, led by Professor Clifford Jones, while the Doctor investigates the nearby plant of a company called Global Chemicals.

They discover that the mine workings are full of giant maggots and green slime – both lethal to touch – that have been produced by chemical waste pumped from the Global plant.

This elegant figure of the 3rd Doctor, is shown with long trousers and his familiar black jacket with red piping. Wriggling along with him are three deadly and highly toxic giant maggots courtesy of chemical mutation.

Its actually, although a great figure, slightly non-representative of the Doctors appearance in that particular story. Did he not have a red-pellover under his jacket, and the bow-tie was actually, believe me or dont, it WAS underneath his collars.

I wish he had come with that wonderful red-tartan from the story, or the gloves aswell.

As batmanmarch (an expert in the visual details of anything in Dr Who, costumes included) has pointed out, the figure here is just a hybrid of two previous releases. 🙁 We need the red one, lovely.

Why is it more expensive than a regular release like the fourth Doctor?

My advice to anyone would be to get the pertwee with dalek or sea devil though i think the dalek one is more value…..

    Your saying the cloak is….removable?
I had no idea! Many of the fans oon you tube wont open these figures from their original packaging for a review becasue they limited edition.

Theres actually a real shortage of decent reviews on you tube for these figures,
usually its just some two year old with a really annoying voice talking rubbish.

i think in the eleven doctors set there should be the 3rd doctor which came with the sea devil because it is hard to take off the cloak that way you could have one of them without a cloak on

Guess what? You know the way the Third Doctor is in such nice attire in this set? Well if the cherished and much desirable Eleven Doctors set is made, this is what the Third Doctor will be wearing.

    Three words: FAN-TA-STIC.

I can’t buy any of these exclusives because I don’t have enough pocketmoney. The price is ridiculous and they should be avaliable in normal shops.
